He didn’t like what he did. He knew that with each starseed he took, that person would slowly fade away until their body died. He knew it was morally frowned upon and that he was a murderer for continuing to do as he was ordered, but without the energy and starseeds offered to Metallia and to his General, there was no purpose to his existence. At least with this he had a reason, even if he didn’t like it.
He supposed the right answer would be that he should want to die instead of taking starseeds, but he didn’t want to die. He wanted to live, and if making the process as painless as possible was all he could do to ease his own guilt, he supposed that was all there was.
There was never any intention to target the particular individual that was now passed out in the alley. Kamacite hadn’t even been powered up at the time that this man jumped out at him, grabbing for his bag and leaving his lip bloody and jaw bruised from a punch that was probably meant to knock him out.
He’d powered up on instinct, blinding the man with a flash of light in order to get away from groping hands and a leering grin that suggested more than just taking his wallet. Kamacite realized it had been stupid because now he had to take the man’s starseed. The man had seen his identity.
Distracted by the own harried beat of his heart, Kamacite didn’t notice another presence until they were too close for him to easily slip away. He crouched over the unconscious man with wide eyes as the other figure appeared, much stronger than himself, the starseed already clutched in his trembling hand.

It was just another night for a patrol. It'd been quiet lately - well, okay, maybe that was a load of s**t for all he knew. Eurydike hadn't really been going out as much as he should have, and he knew it. So sue him. He had a wedding coming up, a fiance to look after, and a whole lot of work still to do by day. Didn't exactly leave a ton of room for superheroing, but he still tried his best. At least he dusted a few youma here and there, and that was better than not doing that, right?
When he spotted a flash of something down an alleyway though, with a heavy surge of chaos attached, it didn't take much to guess that this wasn't going to be another night of nothing. The super senshi immediately made a dash down the street and towards the disturbance, a snarl already on his face and fists balled at his sides.
Negaverse. A starseed. Didn't take much to put together that kind of picture. In his own mind's eye, he thought back to the night he'd felt someone else's hand plunge into his ******** that.
"Drop it before I ********' make you you piece of s**t!" he hissed, already advancing.

Longer than he knew he should have, Kamacite stared, frozen with fear, as the senshi advanced towards him. There was hardly any time to think, any time to act. If he didn’t do something fast, he didn’t know what would happen to him.
The man wanted him to drop the starseed, but he couldn’t. It was no longer an option for him. Normally he would have complied quickly and would have just searched for another, but this was different. If the starseed was returned to this man, he didn’t know what would happen to him.
Worse than that, Kamacite realized as he made an attempt to scramble to his feet, trying to put some distance between himself and the advancing senshi, was that if his identity was known, it would put the people he knew at risk. Namely his cousin… and Adrien. And he couldn’t put them in danger.
“Solar flare!” he called out, a blinding, disorienting flash of light filled the alleyway. It was his best chance to be able to put some distance between himself and the stronger senshi. Hopefully this one wouldn’t be able to aim his magic accurately.
Kamacite grabbed hold of his hair and ran as fast as he could down the alley, and turned the corner-
And felt his heart sink at the sight of a chain linked fence in his way. Swallowing thickly, he pushed his hair behind him, starseed still in hand, as he carefully tried to scale the fence. There wasn’t anything around for him to get a good foothold or jump from. Hopefully he put enough distance between himself and the senshi already that he had a chance to escape.
frayedflower There is a brilliant flash of light causing temporary but immediate disorientation and blindness that fades into horribly spotty vision; can last upwards of twenty seconds. The attack does not cause physical damage and is intended as a diversion or distraction. Has an effect radius of 8 feet (although the flash can be seen as one would see any flash), and can be used three times.
