Personality:
- Practical: Don't bother him with theory. Makimton wants just the facts laid out in simple order. Fancy analogies go right over his poor head. He's the type who wants to experience something for himself. If you tell him a tool works better being used a certain way, he'll believe you, but he may also wish to test it out for himself. As a young apprentice tanner, he'd often snitch useless hide trimming to experiment different methods of tanning. Just to be sure, that yes what his father told him was true and ruined a hide.
- Sentimental: Makimton is prone to wearing his feelings on his sleeve. He's not above shedding a tear if the situation calls for it. A sensitive lad he is excessively prone to feelings of tenderness, sadness, or nostalgia. Oh that smell reminds him of his mother baking. Some have also called him a bit of a romantic. He loves seeing happy couples together. The most romantic thing to him is a dragonrider.
- Vivacious: When he's not being sentimental though, he loves to live it up! He won't let much hold him back from a good party. Makimton is the kind who can have a fine time with men or women. He enjoys flirting. He's sexy and he knows it!
- Single-minded: When set with a task, he becomes quite fixated upon that one thing. He doesn't handle well being given more than one goal at a time. Instead of prioritizing, he try to complete both at the same time and take twice as long as needed to get it all done.
- Rigid: He will follow orders to the letter. Makimton is one who does not typically think outside the box. Don't expect any extra flourishes from him. Tell him to scrub the tables, he'll scrub the tables clean, but he won't think to put a few flowers in a vase for the table either.
- Offhand: When it comes to personal love for him, he's quite casual about it all. A new lover every sevendays wouldn't bother him, which may cause some jealousy to arise. Holding down a serious relationship may be quite difficult for him. It's a lot of work and there's no easy to follow manual.
- Predictable: Makimton likes his whers in a row. He's quite foreseeable in that he'll go from A to B to C each time, every time. Someone could place a bet on him taking the same actions each time and never lose.
- Questioning: To follow his practical tendencies, he asks a lot of questions. A lot. A lot of specific and detailed questions. If you have time, he can always think up more!

History:
Makimton was born the youngest of two children is a small cothold on the edge of Keroon. His parents are tanners and tanned the hides of the great cows the cothold prides itself on raising. His older sibling is his sister Marek. He adored his sister and followed her around almost as soon as he could walk whenever he got the chance. When not tagging along after his sister, he runs around with other boys near his own age.

When he was 8 or 9 Turns, he can't remember which, he met his very first dragonrider. The silky looking brown and their dashing rider made a large impression upon his young mind. He was overjoyed and devastated at the same time, for his sister was searched by that same rider. It meant he was loosing his favorite sister, and she was gaining the chance to become a dragonrider. He very much wished to join her. It was not to be. Several days later the rider returned to spirit his sister to High Reaches Weyr.

With his sister gone, Makimton found himself with more loose ends than he knew what to do with. His friends could only interest him for a short time now. He felt restless and anxious as he waited for word that the clutch had been laid and the hatching would be soon. A rider stopped by the cothold to tell his parents that the hatching would be in a few days and that he would bring them to view it when the hatching was about to start. Makimton was excited.

The day the rider showed up to pick up his parents for the hatching he was playing in the front yard. He gave an excited squeal and ran to join them. The rider apologized and stated his green couldn't carry so many people, only his parents were allowed to attend. Makimton waited, disappointed at being unable to be there, for his parents to return home. He tried to wait up all night, but it no use. He fell asleep before they got home.

The next morning, he bombarded them with questions. Asking for every detail he could possible think of. His sister had impressed to a blue. While his parents didn't seem thrilled, Makimton was ecstatic his sister had become a dragonrider. He was so proud of her. With his sister at the weyr with her growing dragonet, life settled into a new routine for him.

He'd started to become interested in tanning. Makimton followed his father to work and participated in the simple jobs a youngster could do. He learned about the cows, and how to slaughter them respectfully. Learning where the hides they worked with and turned into beautiful leather came from. It was smelly, but he simply loved how the leather felt and looked once it was done. He quickly settled in to learning under his father.

A little over a turn later, and his sister came to visit on her now adult blue dragon. It was a a happy time for him. He was pleased to see his sister thriving in her new life. Makimton made sure she promised to visit every turn or so. He looked forward to her rare visits.

Soon after his twelfth birthday, he was officially apprenticed. Not to his father of course, but another master at the cothold. He was still full of questions, and like to experiment when told something wouldn't work. Makimton even talked his master into taking him to other cotholds nearby to see how they worked things.

He had recently turned nineteen, and the last time his sister had visited he'd told her he'd hoped to be a journeyman by the next time she visited. While he'd hoped his master would let him walk the tables, it wasn't meant to be the way he'd thought. His sister had arrived, and he was talking to her outside when her blue came up, put his muzzle close to his body, and blew a huge breath then sent his clothes flapping. His jaw dropped when his sister informed him that her blue had just told her he was suitable to become a candidate.

I don't mind the listed format like you do, just request you put in the personality portion, and have the traits listed individually beneath.

It's easier for me to read, it follows what we ask all of our writers to fill out, and for Candidates it lets me easily see what their positive and negative traits are without having to read everything all the time.
