Tomlin didn’t stop by the HQ a great deal anymore, but there were days when the streets were just too crazy, and it was good to know a safe, dry place to crash. Well, safe apart from that one time a youma had busted in on their phone party. But that could happen anywhere in the city. Far more likely to find someone working late at the computer banks, or asleep on a chair. That was his plan.

He slunk down the stairway, but stopped at the inner threshold with paw raised. The floor was a snowstorm of tiny bits of paper. He recognised the small tabby at the centre of the array - he’d been there for the communicator-making session, though for some reason Tomlin didn’t think he’d made a good impression on the other cat.

“Liryn. Hey,” he said with a slight nod of greeting, before tilting his head to try and read the upside-down letters on the closest piece of the paper trail. “Writing a novel?”
