Lepus was out late again, a force of habit by now. There was just something about the thrill of sneaking out of the house late at night, breaking the rules, that small act of rebellion, that always sent Lepus places normal kids would know to stay away from after dark. But, Lepus wasn't exactly 'normal', now was she? She was a magical girl, a 'chosen one' given magical powers to serve a higher purpose, not to just sit around at home doing homework or something boring like that. As she got older, she got bolder, and stayed out later, straying a little further and further away from the 'safe' distance from home she maintained to ensure she'd return home on time before anyone woke up.
Tonight's 'serving a higher purpose' took Lepus through the park, a patrol path she tended to take a lot, if only for the ease of convenience. There had been no youma sightings so far, which was kinda good, kinda boring, and as she neared the end of her patrol, Lepus wondered if she'd run into anything exciting at all- not necessarily something evil, but maybe a ghost or two, something spooky to stir things up a bit?

Lepus would of course end up finding something more exciting on her patrol this night, or rather that something would find her. Huntite had been once again doing his duty to the Negaverse and gathering energy when he felt the order signature come into his range. The lieutenant paused as he let the now unconscious civilian drop the rest of the way to the ground, debating on whether he should intercept or not. He almost didn't when he slowly recognized that it was a chibi's signature he felt, remembering last time he had a run in with one of them, but in the end he did indeed start to head towards it.
If nothing else maybe THIS chibi he could scare into staying at home and not fighting in this war.

Sorry about taking so long, I thought it had posted the responce but apparently it didn't!
There was a sudden Chaos signature popping up on Lepus' 'radar' (figurative, not literal), and the chibi all too quickly realized it was making a beeline towards her. Lepus knew that not all those who were on the side of 'evil' would be kind to her like Victoria had, but that didn't mean she was going to run away, either. She was a defender of justice- her and Onnie both- and defenders of justice didn't run away from danger.
... She did, though, duck behind a nearby tree. Lepus had an idea, and if Huntite continued to get any closer, she was going to act upon it.

Huntite slowed down as he got in the general area the signature was coming from, looking around carefully to both try and spot the chibi Senshi and to make sure said chibi wasn't aiming to launch any surprises. "Why don't you come out here little one? Or better yet run home to your parents." He said in his most gruff voice, playing it up in hopes that the chibi would do the second option. While he was always willing to fight any of the Order, him and children didn't seem to mix well in the long run since he didn't want to hurt them His eyes darted around as he walked deeper into the park, but didn't quite see her just yet.
What was with adults and their constant trying to tell her she shouldn't be out this late? Lepus hated it- she had been chosen as a senshi for a reason, which obviously meant that age didn't matter, seeing as she'd been doing this since she was nine. They just didn't understand, and it only served to strengthen Lepus' resolve to form a team of other chibi senshi all the more.
Huntite was drawing closer, but not close enough for her to take any action just yet. Just a little closer, Lepus thought; just a little closer, and she could act upon her plan. In the meantime, if he hoped to scare her away by speaking in such a gruff tone of voice, it wasn't having the desired effect. Instead, Lepus remained where she was, from behind the safety of the tree, though she did roll her eyes at being called 'little one'.
The chibi knew that she couldn't stay hidden behind the tree forever, though, and keeping quiet would only run the risk of him stumbling upon her hiding spot, depending on how good he was at pinpointing powered auras. Lepus was no ventriloquist, but with her magic involving making people think she was somewhere else, she had gotten pretty decent at throwing her voice.
"Why don't you go home instead?" Lepus retorted, hoping to throw him off track.

When he heard the chibi's voice, Huntite turned his head to look in the direction it was coming from to give the area a look. When he didn't see her, he got a calculating look on his face. "I plan on it, but I have more people to drain first, or maybe I'll just steal some starseeds. I wonder if children's starseeds look the same as adults?" He taunted, leaving the threat only implied. He wouldn't really take a child's starseed but the chibi wouldn't know that.
He kept moving around searching for the Senshi, circling around to where he had heard her voice, but unknowing if she was their or if she had moved at this point.
He was bluffing, or at least, Lepus was pretty certain he was bluffing. His attempts at scaring her off weren't working still, but they were doing a pretty good job at making her more and more angry. Yes, Negas were bad guys that did bad things, but he didn't have to speak so casually about it.
It was time to take action.
"You'll have to get past me first!" she challenged, putting her plan into action, "Look over here!"
If Huntite looked over at where the voice was coming from, he would notice 'Lepus' running away from him, as if to challenge him to chase after her.

Lepus tricks an opponent into feeling compelled to go chasing after what they believe to be Chibi Lepus running away from them. Once they get close enough (3-5 feet, within reaching distance), 'Chibi Lepus' turns out to be a fake, an illusionary white rabbit that promptly poofs away. This does not work from a short range- Lepus must put some distance between herself and the opponent, and relies on them not seeing Lepus while they're being tricked. It lasts for twenty seconds, and she can only use this once.

Huntite kept walking, trying to make his stance and walk more predatory then normal to add effect, though how well that was going he wasn't sure when it had been a while since he had done so. He was about to make a turn that would let him see Lepus when the chibi called out her attack, successfully catching his attention to the fake one.
Since he was trying to make the little Senshi run away in the first place he wouldn't normally chase after his 'target', but her magic did it's job and he darted out after the illusion. It hadn't occurred to him just yet that might have been a trick of magic.

Lepus watched as Huntite chased after the illusion, feeling a sense of smug satisfaction that it had indeed worked. But would it do the job? With youma, Lepus used it to lead them to run into walls, or other solid objects, to otherwise deliver enough force to dust them- or if that didn't do the job, then kicking or throwing something at them did. Huntite was no youma, though, and so, moving to another hiding spot where she could still watch, she continued to keep tabs on him, for when the magic wore off.
... Just in case, though, she picked up a few rocks, to throw at him. Alternatively, she could just punch him, like that one nega captain had told her to do to other nega agents.

Long legs and being in shape came in handy as he caught up quickly to the illusion only for it to disappear. He cursed under his breath for falling for a chibi's magic again then turned in the opposite direction the illusion was running, figuring that it was probably leading away from Lepus. "Nice trick kid but it's not going to help you now." He stalked back over to the area he had been searching last as a reference.
"You should have ran while you had the chance." His movements brought him closer and closer to Lepus, though he wasn't aware of that fact just yet but it would take long for him to figure it out.
She should have run, sure, but Lepus had wanted to make sure her magic worked. When it became clear that Huntite was headed back her way, though, Lepus realized magic just wasn't going to cut it.
So she threw the rocks and ran. Lepus wouldn't necessarily call this a loss- she had, technically, chased him off initially- at the very least, she'd consider being able to outrun him before he knew what hit him a victory.
(She would just omit this last part when recounting the story to others later.)

He had got decently close to her before she finally bolted and at first he wasn't sure if it was another illusion like the first time, however since he didn't have that urge to chase and she was throwing rocks at him in the end he figured that this time that was the actual chibi.
Huntite brought up an arm to block his face from the rocks and let the little girl run away with out perusing her, after all he had gotten what he wanted with her running away. "She so better be going straight home." He grumbled to himself once she was far enough away. It wouldn't be until the chibi was finally out of sight that he turned and went back to his business.
