Firekin Tournament
Ever wanted your Firekin to climb the ranks of the military? Well, here is their chance! We have a number of high ranks to fill in preparation for future plots and, in true Firekin culture, a tournament will be held to decide who is worthy of leading armies.
This is open to every adult member of the Firekin, but will obviously appeal more to those already in the military. Other than that, regardless of background, they are encouraged to enter. There is no bias against ex-rogues or those who have only lived within the pride for a short while. What's most important to us is your willingness to participate in the pride's future events and be active!
Interested? Okay, so here are the ranks that are available and how to earn one of them:
- General
- Brigadier
- Legate
- Captain
- Corporal
Winning one is easy (sort of) and will make use of the dueling system we have in place for joining rogues. You will be randomly matched with another combatant who has signed up for promotion and, if you win your match, you will proceed to the next stage until, at last, we have our top fighters.
Firekin who win a duel will be granted the rank of 'corporal' and be given the option to continue on to try and earn further ranks (see above). The number of promotions given will depend on the number of entrants so the more who enter, the more chances there are to win!

The Process
1. Read the rules below.
2. Fill out the 'sign up' form and post in this thread.
3. You will then be matched up with another combatant and a dueling thread will be set up for you. The header of this thread will contain any information you might need for that specific fight.
4. If you win, wait for the next stage to begin. If you lose, that's okay, try again next time! We'll be doing these more often!
Rules
1. Your Firekin must be:
@@@@@@@@@@@@@@- A full member [have been part of the pride for at least a month]
@@@@@@@@@@@@@@- An adult
@@@@@@@@@@@@@@- Part of the military [or have a winning fight against a challenging rogue]
2. Participants must be good sports! RNG sucks sometimes but it's a good way to ensure no one has any advantage over another.
3. Each duel will use the RNG system we have in place for joining rogues. If you need a reminder of the rules, please see here. In short, each Firekin will take it in turns to generate 5 random numbers. The lion with the highest number wins. However, if the duel ends in a draw, each player must roll again to break the tie and name a victor. No blood is drawn during these duels - just as with rogue challenges.
2. You may enter as many Firekin as you like so long as they are within the military or have a completed duel against a rogue to show that they have battle experience. [This may open up to include others if we do not get enough interest].
3. The time you have to complete your duel will vary [likely between 1-2 weeks] and will be stated at the beginning of each stage. If a player is left waiting through no fault of their own and the deadline passes, their Firekin will be declared the winner.
4. If you only wish to earn the lower rank of 'corporal' that is also fine. Just be sure to include that in your 'sign up' form. You may try for all ranks or only one if you like!
5. Keep all your entries to one post (yes you may edit)
IC Note
Vatra [Excited Apathy] and Ud [SilverLutz] are ICly known to have a leg-up in the contest. This is because they were the winners during the 'Motoujamii Man-Hunt' event.
