Sylvan was closing alone tonight, but he didn't mind it all that much as he would any other given night because tonight was different. The bar was long empty and with the cash closed and all the glass wear and dishes cleaned and put away all he had left to do was turn the chairs up, sweep, and flick the lights out. He had been talking to someone online for a while now, and each night's end was becoming something to look forward to as opposed to when he'd normally just go to sleep once he got home from work, but now he stayed up a little longer to talk to them, but again tonight was different. They were going to meet up for the first time in person, and despite it being so late and there not being that many public spots left open the two had decided on meeting in a late night dinner for tea and coffee. He had his doubts about meeting so late and he didn't want to scare them off, but that's what happens when you resign yourself to the life of a nightowl and work the graveyard shift. Shaking his head Sylvan put the broom back into the supply closet and motioned towards his coat and scarf. How long had he just been thinking? Looking at the clock across the room the Nixie's heart skipped a beat. He was going to be late! Rushing for the door with a leap he barely got his coat on before getting outside. Once there though he quickly locked up and sprinted through the snow towards the dinner.

Exhausted from running, but only slowing down once they had the dinner in sight Sylvan having finally reached there was happy to see that Rini was already seated waiting for him through the window of the restaurant. He was nervous obviously, it wasn't just the exhaustion making his breath uneven and his hands shakey, but his excitement outweighed his doubts when it finally came time to meet them in person. Pushing his way through the door the shop's entrance gave way with a little jingle in acknowledgement to his arival. Rounding the corner towards the booth that they were in Sylvan with the largest grin across his face motioned a finger pistol in their direction. "Rini?" He asked making sure the other was who they thought they were.

Graciously Sylvan took the offer to sit down, and slid into the booth on the parallel side to where Rini was. "That would be correct, sorry- I didn't mean to take so long. I was closing the bar tonight and took a little while getting things cleaned before leaving. I hope I didn't leave you waiting long, but enough excuses." Undoing his coat the Nixie stripped the extra layer off leaving it hanging behind him with his back pressed up against the cushion of the booth. Once his hands were free he gingerly took the small pamphlet that was the desert menu in hand going over his options. In thought Sylvan raised the index finger of his left hand towards his face slightly tapping the finger on his lower lip in contimplation. "I'll definately get coffee, but I'm unsure on what to get for desert. Do they have cheese cake? . . . Ah- they most certainly do. I'll go with that." Finally seated and settled Sylvan took his eyes off the menu and couldn't help himself from staring at the Nightmare sitting across from him. "You look really nice tonight, I'm sorry I didn't mention it before when I first got here."

"Well I appreciate your paitence. I try to be timely, but work usually gets in the way of that. I often find myself running late on the more important things in life. Like getting some of this delicious cake." Flagging down a waitress Sylvan promplty ordered his serving of black coffee and cherry cheesecake before turning his attention back to Rini and taking in her compliment. Blushing the Nixie chuckles looking down at himself. "T-thank you, but honestly I'm a mess just coming back from work and all." Trying to regain his composure Sylvan ran his fingers through his bangs back over the side of his ear. "You're opening a theatre soon? That's- that's increadible! Where will you be opening it? When will you be opening it. I had no idea you were in a position in your life where you could do such a thing. I'm- more than impressed."

Blushing more intensely now at the further comment Sylvan was caught up in his feelings of butterflies in his stomach and thoughts of where tonight could go. It had been a while since he been out with someone, especially someone so cute and put together in their life as they were. So what, they may be out of his league, at least in how he compared where he was to where they were in life respectively. He being a drop out from university and they thinking of taking up an acting career as a drama teacher if not opening their own theatre. Normally he feel a bit jealous, but tonight he was just inspired. This is what he wanted for himself. Not nessisarily being a drama teacher or a theatre owner, but someone on the verge of owning their own buisiness, past the point of going to school, and thinking about having children. Gods only know how many times he's almost put in an application to adopt, but maybe there were other options just around the corner for him. Options with her. Cheeks betraying him as he could not contain the blush Sylvan thought if he could not hide it, at least own his attraction to the Nightmare in front of him. "You know what they say work hard play hard. . . . But honestly you inspire me to do better for myself. When your theatre opens you have to let me know because I'll definately be one of the first to preorder tickets for opening night. . ., but if I can be blunt you caught me at wanting kids. Many of my friends I used to go to school and have a night life with have settled down to have children and if I'm being honest I want that for myself too. Not nessicarilly settling down, but having a kids of my own. I've thought about adoption and still am, but I also want to imbue myself. I just haven't found the nightmare yet that would be interested in doing that with me."
