His mood had been lightened considerably after his chance meeting with the dragonrider in the marketplace, and Mang's tail twitched with pleasure as he easily strode through the busy paths. People parted with murmured whispers, for if his draconian features did not name him for what he was, the aura that surrounded him surely did. His faithful aoide followed closely at his side, his brows creased in a silent frown. In his hands, he held a parchment, tallying their supplies as needed. A journey of this magnitude would be troublesome, especially if they were weighed down with too many people.

"We will leave once we've prepared sufficiently." The dragon was careful not to let his tail lash out in time with his thoughts. "And after I've met these other dragonriders." They were not true Dragons, not like himself, but he could not help but feel a fondness for the simple, enormous creature he had encountered on the rooftops.

Shaozu murmured an agreement, already distracted with numbers, sums, and figures. Resisting the urge to chortle, Mang let him be, instead drinking in the sights and sounds of the Pantheon. How fortunate they were, to exist after coming so close to the brink. Did these mortals think so, still? With lives so short, they often did not dwell on the big picture, choosing to live in the present. He could hardly fault them. If anything, it only nurtured his affection for them, the barest sort of smile pulling at his lips.

Something touched at his senses, a trace of essence that could only have belonged to one of the True Gods. Someone he knew? Or, more exciting, someone he did not? His hair stood on end, the feathery appendages spiking into an interested crest. Waving his loyal servant off, Mang set off by himself, threading through the crowds towards the source.

If nothing else, it was polite to say hello. Any chance to speak to one of the gods was worthwhile, for their continued rebirth gave him all the more to work with.

A squat, rotund man called into the depths of his workshop. "Bring out the Ziricote!" Sounds could be heard from within the building of someone shuffling things around, hunting for the wood sample that was being summoned. The man did not look back to whomever he called, but remained facing forward towards his two visitors, a slight tremble in his voice and an overly large grin on his face.

Two women stood before him. To his left was a goat demoness. Honovi held in her hands a piece of parchment almost half the size that she was. She was busy checking things over. They had a lot to get through today. The other woman stood, her arms folded, waiting impatiently for the next sample to be presented. Valli's green eyes were pressed in a furrow directed towards the man, she had yet to find what she had been looking for.

"I'm sure this will be the one, yes," the man said, perhaps more a reassurance to himself than to the two women.

"We shall see," replied Valli, her tone short and sharp.

The man audibly gulped before scurrying into the workshop to see what was taking his assistant so long.

"My Lady, you've already seen 23 samples. We have more things to see, more materials to source." Honovi indicated to the rather large list they had compiled. Building a large greenhouse was not going to be an easy feat.

"I can't have my own greenhouse being built with some pedestrian wood can I? We will move on when I have found the right material." Valli snapped. She glared at her Aoide before returning her stare to the depths of the workshop where the man had disappeared.

Honovi, used to her Goddess' various attitudes returned unfazed to the list. "I think there is a glass supplier close by. We shall go there next."

There was a delightfully herbal scent on the wind now, easily leading him towards his destination. Two women stood before a wood vendor of sorts, and his bright amber eyes took in the scene with quick curiosity. The demoness caught his eye initially, his tongue rubbing idly against the roof of his mouth as instinctual dislike stirred in his gut. It was nonsense, he chided himself, especially since this particular demon was doing absolutely nothing wrong.

Though his host was not awake, he could feel the man's revulsion still stirring and fluttering through him--with good reason, Mang admitted. The pulses of power were not coming from the demon, however, but the woman at her side. To the educated, it would be hard to mistake the woman as anything but a goddess, newly reborn as she was. The tendrils of plant-life that clung to her was striking alone, but it was the vividness of her gaze that was truly telling, in Mang's opinion. She did not seem pleased, and, he noticed with some mirth, that the demoness appeared to be playing the role of his very own Shaozu judging by the list in her hands.

The Dragon King did not want to be rude, folding his arms politely behind his back as he waited. His tail tip twitched this way and that, unconsciously betraying his excitement. He'd have to work on that.

Eventually, he could not help himself, quietly clearing his throat. "Forgive me, but I sensed in you the area and felt it prudent to introduce myself. I am Mang. Are these wares not to your standard?"

Honest curiosity, nothing more.

Perhaps she was too busy in her thoughts, or she it was being freshly reborn and not quite attuned to the different auras that could present themselves, but Valli did not notice the approach of the Dragon King. Honovi however was far more accustomed to the feelings of those with great power, and at the mere clearning of his throat, had positioned herself in a deep bow.

The goddess looked over the newcomer. The long tail and scaly dusting most certainly gave him away as a dragon king. The plant goddess had not yet met any of the dragons, well, she had not been in contact with any beings like herself since she was awakened. She was happy to be finally in the presence of her kin.

Though she might have felt happy, it certainly wasn't visible on her exterior. Her furrow softened slightly but her face still had not shifted into an expression of warmth.

"A pleasure to meet family," she extended a hand outwards to the dragon to shake. vines creeping slowly down the limb, almost as if they wanted to shake the hand of Mang as well.

"I am Valli," she introduced herself. "This is one of my Aoide, Honovi," she indicated to the demoness, still deep in her bow.

Before she could say anymore however the store owner returned holding a large plank of darkly colored wood. "The Ziricote my Lady," he presented the wood, bowing as he did.

The goddess looked it over, her expression deepening once more. Then after a moment, she flicked her hand, dismissing the offering.

"I shall take the Tulipwood," she turned her attention back to Mang.

Honovi rose with a groan as her master made her decision. "That was the first one we looked at..." she then followed the shopkeep back inside to discuss figures.

"One must consider all options before deciding on something." She told Mang. "I am in the beginning stages of constructing a large Greenhouse near the Pantheon to house my children. We are currently sourcing materials to build it. I think Tulipwood will suit it well."

A flicker of pleasure surged through him at the aoide's deference, though the Dragon King merely waved a hand. "Your respect is noted, but please, rise." He gladly reached out to clasp Valli's hand, undeterred by her cool countenance. "I greet you with utmost pleasure Valli, and you too, friend Honovi. My name is Shuo Huang Zhe. Shuo will suffice." His eyes twinkled. How nice it was to meet another, and with such manners!

His gaze snapped back to the shop keeper, eyeing the wood. His knowledge offered him nothing, though the dark color was pleasing to him. Clearly Valli knew what she was after, and he resisted the urge to chuckle at Honovi's exasperation. "Oh, I quite agree. To decide in hasty means that one might miss a much better opportunity. Tell me, what manner of your children do you mean to house there?"

Would they be primarily focused upon those with medicinal properties? Mang would hardly consider himself a green thumb, but he did enjoy the beauty of plants--especially now that the threat of the Gehenna was over.

"Shuo," she repeated to keep the name in her mind. Her calloused and slightly dirty hand gripped his firmly. She gave him one strong shake before unclasping and folding her arms. She still had her face settled somewhat sternly, she came across as a rather serious goddess, there was a lot to do and she had been gone a long time after all.

Honovi nodded at his acknowledgement, uttering a My Lord but nothing more.

"My main goal is to create a space that can house all manner of plant life, to prevent any from disappearing entirely, which I'm afraid some might already have due to recent events," the thought of the death of plant life due to Gehenna caused her to furrow her brow more furiously.

"My ultimate objective is to house at least one of all current living species there is, for they are all useful in their own way. Of course that will be quite a task. But a necessary one." She nodded, plant life would suffer no more now that she had returned.

"I have some followers sourcing things from around these parts, but there are worlds upon worlds with their own unique flora. But first, we require a space to house all of these wonders, and that is why I am constructing a greenhouse."

Honovi and Petal had both tried to argue with the Goddess that perhaps a name more indicative of the size of the building they would be constructing would be good so as to not mislead people, for the Goddess' wants certainly meant the building of something much grander than the average greenhouse but Valli had not wavered.

The callouses were noted, and Mang was left wondering if they'd existed on her host previously, or if Valli of Plants had wasted no time in getting straight to work upon her rebirth. He folded his hands behind his back again, his stance relaxed as he listened quietly to her plans.

"An admirable goal. And a worthy one, to help All That Is recover in this time..."

And then, a most brilliant though occurred to the Dragon King. He resisted the urge to grin, keeping his features composed. "As fortune would have it, perhaps our goals align--assuming you are close to gathering materials for your greenhouse. You see, I am preparing to go on a journey, using Yggdrasil to reach many different worlds. The mortals of the present do not seem to remember the gods and offer prayers to them as they must."

"By accompanying me, you would no doubt be able to harvest several specimens for yourself. A goddess with a domain centered on growth and good bounties would no doubt help sway the mortals, in turn..."

Yes, yes, this would be glorious indeed! Now if only she would agree...

Haha, no problem!

Valli listened closely as he spoke. Hmm, it did seem like the perfect opportunity, and although she had Larkspurr who was capable of world walking, she had not yet experimented with that particular side of things or explored past the land they were in now, and the chance to learn about Yggdrasil and tend to it's many roots was also alluring.

The vines on her body started shifting, almost as if they were excited to potentially go exploring. The goddess' face remained as stoic as ever though.

She nodded in approval, her arms folded across her breasts. "I feel like this opportunity is too fortuitous to pass up. The continuation of my greenhouse project can be delegated to another of my Aoide." She paused briefly to consider which one as both had their fors and againsts.

"We shall inspect Ygdrassil as we move, who knows what damage it might have succumbed to." She said, her tone that of a decision and less of a suggestion.

"When do you plan to leave?" Organisation would have to begin in order to make the trip successful.

His gaze did not shift from her face, but Mang took in the sudden movement from the vines with interest, wondering. Did they offer a tell for her emotions? Possibly. It would be something worth studying, should she accompany him on this journey.

His eyes lit up when she agreed, the tip of his tail threatening to quiver though he forced it to remain still. "Excellent! Indeed, Yggdrasil's health is of utmost importance." He saw no issue with such a thing and was quite happy to go along with Valli's.... request. Yes.

"A few days. A week, at most. Short notice, I know, but time is of the utmost importance." There was so much to do, and he was certain that his absence would be felt. "Will this do, Lady Valli, or should I adjust my schedule?"

He was not, after all, an unreasonable creature. There could be modifications made to his plans if it meant the accompaniment of another god.

Valli took only a moment to consider. She had no doubt Honovi could maintain the build whilst she was gone. That was all she was really concerned about.

"The notice is fine. It should not take me very long to organise everything for my departure." She nodded to herself as she began planning in her mind.

"Whatever day it is you want to leave by, myself and my party shall be ready." She looked at the dragon, her face as neutral as it was before. The plant life that clung to her shifted about ever so subtly.

"Is it just you who I am journeying with?" She asked, curious to see what sort of plans the dragon had already put into motion before coming across her.

A decisive goddess, this one. The holes in his memory left him unable to recall if she'd always been this way, or if this was new thanks to her rebirth. Mang bowed his head to her, allowing his smile to curl slowly at his lips.

"I am glad to hear it. Where is it that you are currently residing? I can send a servant to you, once I have finished my preparations." Ah, but as for who else would be accompanying them...

"As far as True Gods? You and myself. I have gathered a small handful of mortals, including those who claim to be dragon riders. Not true dragons, but they certainly appear the part of the mortal imagining of them." His smile grew more fond, and for a moment, he lost himself in his thoughts.

"Well!" He said briskly, clapping his hands together. "At the very least, with their assistance, transportation should be easier. They are quite large, these dragons, and I would imagine they would be able to carry supplies without difficulty."

Valli listened with interest. It sounded like the dragon had already put some thought into his trip. Which was good. She was all for order and organisation. Things could get too disjointed and messy if certain steps weren't taken. Even in her past life the goddess had been one for organisation and order, for without it, even the most beautiful of gardens could become overgrown and unpleasant.

"My rooms within the Pantheon are marked with the growing seedling." She instructed For now, the rooms would do, but she had plans to move into the greenhouse once the build was complete, so she could be surrounded by her children at all times.

"You have prepared well so far, Dragon," she commended him, though there was no warmth in her voice, her delivery very plain. Having not been reborn for very long, Valli's followers were few and far between, she did not have many she could call on for aid on this journey. Any who might be able to bring plant life back with them would be an asset, and she could not see the harm in using those who Shuo had managed to convince to come along. "Those with strength to carry will be welcome indeed."

"Is there anything that requires the market place that I can assist with?" Although she might seem a bit self concentrating, the goddess was not adverse to offering her assistance, especially when assisting another could benefit her.

The growing seedlings.... He made a mental note of it. It shouldn't be too difficult to find, considering. Mang's lips twitched as he resisted the urge to chuckle, again bowing his head low at her praise. "I am glad that it suits you." He was hardly one to be riled by her frank way of speaking--if anything, the prospect of having another god with him on this journey filled him with delight. He imagined there would be much to learn from Valli--and though she was newly reborn, as he was, mortals responded so favorably to gods of growth and prosperity... Something much needed in this time where so much had been lost.

"I thought so, myself. I do not know their exact number, but I intend to find out after our discussion." He dipped his head again to show that he was in no rush, and his crest of feather-like hair arched slightly at her question.

"My servants should easily cover the basic needs. Perhaps you would be able to provide us with medicinal herbs...?" He asked, not sure as to the extent of her power. If she could not create them, surely the marketplace could have them in stock, and Valli could sense their uses.

"Good idea," she nodded in approval. Who knew what they might encounter one their journey, and although she did not have any healing powers, plants did and she knew them.

"We shall have to see what is in stock around this market," she said, her voice twinged with annoyance. Once before she could have grown a great field with relative ease. All that power that once was reduced to conjuring a few seeds in her palm, and being able to turn them into seedlings, and even after that minor feat she was exhausted. Her true powers could not come soon enough.

"We might have a few reserves back in my chambers as well," she added, sure some of what they were growing could be harvested for the journey ahead.
