Etoile and Alise generally did most things together- it was simply how they rolled. The two were practically inseparable, going everywhere together; where Etoile was, Alise was usually not far behind. There were, though, places where they couldn't always be together, school being one of them, not that Alise hadn't considered smuggling Etoile in her backpack from time to time.

Another was most of the various shops around Destiny City that Alise frequented. Unfortunately, most places had a no pets policy, and as much as Alise tried arguing that Etoile wasn't exactly a pet, it was always to no avail; she couldn't exactly go around telling people that Etoile was a magical cat that detected evil and produced magical items for her and her friends, after all. Today in particular was no exception, as Alise went to the local gaming shop to pick up another Steam gift card, leaving Etoile to sit outside, waiting for her young charge to exit.

Hopefully nobody would try to catnap her- instead, Etoile hoped that someone might find her cute enough to give her candy.

Etoile knew she wasn't supposed to talk to strangers, a rule that was long forgotten by her human companion, but held more consequences for cat than it did for Alise. It wasn't always easy- Etoile loved to make new friends- but unless they knew whether or not the other person was one of 'them', the little cat was supposed to keep quiet.

Of course, that didn't stop Alise from doing things like bringing her classmates over to her house and introducing Etoile as a magical cat, but at least so far that one attempt had turned into a successful awakening.

As she continued to wait outside for Alise to return, Etoile realized someone was approaching, and beamed happily up at Harue, though perhaps also with pleading eyes; did she have any candy? Oh, if only she could ask directly!

(But, then again... maybe she could?)

"Miau!" the small cat chirped, though it was a very unconvincingly legit meow.

Etoile had no collar, but with the way she was dressed, in her little kitty capelet and lace wristlets (pawlets?), she certainly was no stray... right? She stood out well enough, almost like an npc, and with the way she hung out outside the gaming store like this, it could be thought that perhaps she was a quest giver, even.

As Harue continued to shower her in affection, Etoile started to have that same little spark of intuition, that hunch she always had when there was a senshi to be awakened. Admittedly, talking out in the open like this potentially brought trouble, but if Harue made any attempts at taking her elsewhere, there was the potential for more trouble due to Lepus if she even remotely thought her cat was being abducted. Watching as Harue peered into the shop, she made her decision.

"Oh no, I'm not here for toys," Etoile explained cheerfully, "I'm waiting for someone!"

It took Etoile a few moments to process that question, as she initially wasn't certain what Harue was talking about. Then she remembered something about a dragon cat named Nall, from a gaming magazine of Ilse's... or maybe something from one of her online communities, the little Mauvian couldn't exactly remember.

"I'm most certainly not a dragon!" Etoile chirped, "But I'm just as magical, maybe."

Or at least, she assumed as much; Etoile wasn't really sure what this Nall person was capable of, but maybe she could wing it?
