Sitting on the ground, with his legs pulled to his chest, he was doing everything he could to stay awake. He was tired, worn out from the emotional fight just a short while ago. The emotions, the adrenaline, drained from him he was feeling even more tired than when he had arrived at his and Terry’s room - before the confrontation started.
He could still feel the other's emotions but he was so tired...he felt hollow and just...blank...drained. He was drained - he was tired. As he hugged his legs tighter, hoping to keep awake, he gripped his cell phone, open to the text he had sent his elder cousin asking for a pick up - that he needed him. He had sent the location and just added in a please at the end. He knew his cousin would come, he didn’t doubt it for a moment.

Getting a text message from his younger cousin asking for a pick up wouldn’t have been alarming if it was for the fact that the the message was so short and the location was right by Terry’s house. Hyeon was quick to get in the car and drive over to where he was meant to pick up Seung, probably breaking a few traffic laws as he did so but he slowed down when he spotted his cousin sitting on the ground, rolling the car to a stop in front of him the putting it in park. Once that was done he got out and walked around to Seung and knelt by him. “Are you alright?” He asked in their native tongue.
Quote:
Lifting his head, eyes puffy, he nodded his head slowly. “Just want to stay with you...I can’t.” He whispered reaching out and locking his arms around his elder cousin. He didn’t know what else to say, he knew he needed to leave here though. “Can’t go back…” He was leaving his clothing, medication, and everything behind right now...would Hyeon think to get him some things? What about Yeong? He had nothing but what he wore and himself...but that wasn’t enough, he knew it, but he also couldn’t go back. He just couldn’t.
Seung clung to his cousin he pressed his face into the other's shoulder to hide his tears as he shook with silent sobs.

Hyeon frowned worriedly at Seung’s words and hugged him tightly. Couldn’t go back? Why couldn’t he go back? Just what had happened? These questions and more ran through his head but he didn’t ask them, not when his cousin was in need of comfort and not an interrogation. “Come on, let me get you home. Whatever it is, everything will be ok.” He soothed and helped Seung up and over to the car. Once the younger man was in the passenger seat he reluctantly let go of him after giving a kiss to his forehead and hurried to the drivers side so he could get them going.
Quote:
Nodding his head he had to let his cousin go so he could get into the car and buckle up. Curling into his seat, laying his head against the windows cool glass, he let his eyes watch his cousins reflection. He knew he’d be asked about it all...but not just yet and for that he was glad. “So tired...drained. I don’t like this…” He whispered into the silence, wanting to break it up a little bit...it was tense. “Thank you hyung.” For picking him up, for taking him home, for not asking him right now...for so many things.
Quote:
“You’re welcome.” Hyeon said, glancing over at Seung and lightly biting his lower lip. “I’ll get you home, get you something to eat and then you can sleep if you want alright?” He wouldn’t force Seung to answer anything right now, not with how small he sounded, not with how defeated he looked. It was worrying and maddening to not know what was wrong or how to help make things better but it wasn’t worth pushing before his cousin was ready to talk. That wouldn’t help anyone at all if he did.
Quote:
Nodding his head he looked over to his cousin, focusing on him. “Ok...I’d like that. I’m sorry I asked you out so late to pick me up.” He didn’t know if Hyeon had been doing anything important, or anything at all really. He had asked him, without saying it, to drop everything and pick him up...without anything else said. It was...rude of him to do.
“I’ll take the couch.” He whispered. He could share his cousin's bed, it was big enough, but he didn’t want to impose really.

Quote:
“You have nothing to be sorry about, if you need me I will be there no matter the time.” Hyeon repeated a promise that he had given Seung a long time ago. It still held true to now just as it had years ago. “No you will take the bed, either by yourself or sharing with me so you can rest.” He only had one bed, though the couch he had was a pull out, and he wasn’t about to let his overtired cousin sleep on the couch tonight.
Quote:
And he knew that...and it made him feel bad because he did know it, he expected the other to just come at the drop of a hat. “Share then.” He answered, nodding his head to confirm his words. He wouldn’t kick his cousin from his bed. It wasn’t like they hadn’t shared a bed before or cuddled up somewhere. They were close and they were family - it was ok.
“I’ll talk to you after food...in bed.” He’d explain things...some of it at least. He just didn’t know what to do though...maybe his cousin would have an idea? Even if his cousin hadn't been in a relationship yet, at least none that he knew of...unless his cousin had been keeping a secret from him.

He nodded his head, accepting his cousin’s decision of them sharing. It didn’t bother him any and Seung probably could use being cuddled tonight anyway. “Alright, so long as you feel up to it. Just let me know either way if you want to just talk tomorrow instead.” He offered with a small worried smile. It wasn’t much longer after that they got to the apartment he was renting and he gave any help Seung needed to get into it, leading him to sit on the couch while he went to get drinks and start some food.
Quote:
Letting his cousin help him inside he settled on the couch, his socked feet settled on the cushions as he looked toward the small kitchen his cousin had. It wasn’t a large apartment, small really, but it was bigger than some he knew people had back home. He had a friend who had moved out, to be closer to his university campus, and his apartment was tiny. This was better than that - a lot better in his opinion.
“We got into a fight...I’ve never seen or felt him so angry….” He whispered. “Or upset...so sad.” He had messed up...and he knew it but he had been doing what was right, what was normal for him. Why was everything he did wrong….or at least why did it all feel wrong?

Hyeon paused while walking over to pass Seung a drink when his cousin started to talk and his heart went out for him, the words giving a little bit of the picture of what happened. He then moved over and placed Seung’s drink down on the small table by the couch and sat by him. He didn’t say anything at first, just pulled him into a hug and waited to see if the other man would continue or go back to not talking about it.
Quote:
Reaching for his drink, shifting in his cousins hold in order to grasp the cup, he took a sip before starting the speak more. “He found out I was donating energy - to help someone get home...someone who helped us, not us but everyone on our side. It went from there to other things…” He spoke softly. Another sip was taken as he shifted some more.
“My arm...and my weight and sleep habits...a new job and how busy I am. So much I’ve done wrong...or haven’t done. I’m trying but - but duties and things I have to do…English, school, work, patrol, gym, hopkido, homework. Learned to drive here and got my license finally. I’m trying to fit in better...slowly - too slow...but trying but not fast enough but also too much at once.” It was a balance of trying to learn these things, to do these things, and fit in better and quickly but trying not to do too much but he did need to get things done.

He wasn’t sure what to say to that and held his cousin closer as he listened to what he had to say. “It sounds like you have an idol’s schedule with how busy you are.” It was the only thing he would say about just how much work Seung was doing, neither condemning nor condoning at the moment as his cousin needed neither. “All couples fight Seung, if could be that you both just need to wait and calm down before talking. Either way I’m here for you.”
Quote:
“Maybe...just many things to do.” He answered as he snuggled into his cousins hold, cup held in his hand and kept out of the way so it wasn’t tipped. He knew couples fought, it happened, but he’d never dated before and never been in a fight with someone else. This was new...and it felt like it was all because he was trying to improve himself and do what he should. It felt like they just didn’t understand each other, at least not when it came to this topic.
“Just seems like a big difference...what is acceptable and what isn’t. What is too much and isn’t...and just how I am - how I’ve grown up.”

Hyeon rubbed Seung’s back as he cuddled him, wishing he could just give his cousin all the answers. “I don’t know. Normally that is something that each individual figures out for themselves but sometimes they need outside help to point things out. It’s different for everyone.” He said and pressed a kiss to Seung’s head. “Try not to think about it tonight? Wait until you are calmer instead? Maybe things will be clearer after you rest.”
Quote:
“Maybe...just...don’t know what to do.” He answered as he moved enough to sip his drink more more and yawn as well. “Need a shower and bed...tired….” And he needed bed clothing, which meant swimming in his larger cousins bed clothing. He had nothing here and his cousin was larger in build than he was. It wasn’t just a matter of eating habits, since he was damn sure his cousins job had once had him on a diet or eating different than he did now, not to mention how much he was run around. But Seung was just built to be more...slender while also being somewhat tall.
Quote:
“Like I said, just concentrate on resting for now and worry about it tomorrow.” Hyeon said. “How about you go take a shower while I finish getting some food, by the time you come out it will be done then you can eat and go to bed, alright?” He just hoped that his cousin was sturdy enough that he could take a shower safely, though he could always offer up a metal chair for him to sit on in the shower.
Quote:
Nodding his head he stood slowly, prying himself away from his cousin, he fought down a wave of dizziness before heading off to the bathroom to take a much needed shower. They’d talk more later, or in the morning. He just hoped his cousin had advice - knew what to do….because he didn’t. Closing, and locking, the bathroom door behind himself he sighed. Reaching up to finger the necklace he always wore he took it off slowly, setting it on the counter top. For a moment he wondered how Terry was doing.
A deep breath and he pushed off the closed door and made his way to get a towel from the small linen closet and went to turn on the tap for the shower. He needed, right now, to focus on himself….worry about the rest later after a shower and food.
