Powering up, as it were, had actually not yielded in tragic mistakes. It wasn't that Alya didn't trust Elvira, just that he was so desperate to find more people to patrol with that it seemed like powering up was the only way to find more patrol partners--and he couldn't very easily just rely on Elvira to come with him everywhere. Besides, it sort of felt like two timing on his first, original partner, to look for new patrol buddies while he was already out with her.
This plan, though. He promised himself he'd keep it safe; he was ready to call her at a moment's notice--just in case things got rough--but he was trying to make the best of his powered situation. Tonight, he was actually patrolling (sort of, he just kept getting distracted playing with his phone). When he felt an energy signature, he shoved his phone away and looked around. He didn't see anything, but he was keen to seek it out. "Is there a Senshi out there?" he called, despite being convinced he knew what that energy signature was. "I'm Sailor Alya. Can I trouble you for company?"

She had tried to sleep. Really, she had. But it just wasn't happening tonight. And her book hadn't been able to keep her attention either. Her gaze kept shifting out towards a surprisingly clear night full of stars. Then her eyes would flicker towards her phone, where she could hear the words of warning about patrolling alone. Yet she still did it anyways. So long as Anakeion didn't find out, right?
Right. So, once again, she found herself powering up and slipping into the night. There hadn't been any real destination in mind, but Seiryuu wound up at the park. Again. It was like the place summoned her.
Or it was because the park was actually quite enjoyable, powered or not. And she'd been able to meet others here before...
Of course, it was the darn playground that drew her attention again. Grinning, Seiryuu decided to make use of the equipment and turn it into her own personal gym . She would find new ways to climb up to the top, jump down, hold on and swing from the top of the swing set as if kicking an invisible foe.
Distracted as she was, Seiryuu didn't feel the energy signature approaching until it was right there, oops! She was currently balancing on a beam, a look of surprise flashing across her face at being caught unaware. Except... the speaker hadn't seemed to notice her just yet.
Seiryuu jumped down, almost right on top of the poor guy, straightening to regard him with a big smile. "Sailor Alya, huh? I'm Sailor Seiryuu! And of course you can trouble me for company!"

Alya's eyes drifted to the senshi who was swinging and he let out a surprised, "Oh!" before he smiled politely. "I'm sorry, I've no idea how I missed you. I suppose I wasn't expecting to find a Senshi on the playground. Do you come here often?"
It was a new territory to him in most aspects; he didn't often come out to the park when he wasn't powered up, either.
Alya was playing with his long braid, taking in the other Senshi's outfit. He hadn't seen enough to know what was normal of any of them, but he wanted to make sure he could identify a Senshi from...anyone else.

Seiryuu just smiled brightly. "No worries. Sorry if I startled you. I've sort of become rather fond of this area as of late." She glanced around the park before looking back at the senshi before her. "Lately, I have been. It's usually peaceful enough. Not many other things lurking about. And I've had some luck running in to new people here!" Which was always a bonus.
She held out a hand to the other senshi. "I'm Sailor Seiryuu! I've not run into you around here before. Are you new to the area?" Or maybe he just didn't like going out and exploring?
Sadly, it was her curse. And probably one day would be her downfall.

“I don’t know that I’d say I’m new to the area, exactly.”
He’d been here often enough, he just hadn’t been here, powered, much.
He reached to take her hand and offered a smile as he gave her a quick, firm shake. “I suppose my downfall is that I don’t usually power up without company, and when I’m with someone else we sort of just go where the wind takes us. I’ve learned it’s very dangerous to power up alone so I try to be careful. Unfortunately, I don’t know many people, so it’s a little difficult to find a patrol partner. So…”
He drew in a slightly dramatic sigh and shrugged. “I’m making the best of it but—honestly—I’m just not sure how everyone’s running around, making friends. It seems so hard to find people…”

She gave him a curious look at that response. So maybe he didn't explore as much? Or maybe it was the powering up thing? Whichever it was, Seiryuu knew not everyone out there was as outgoing and curious as she could be. Save maybe a few handful of people.
"Fair enough." She replied as he shook her hand. Ah, so it had been the powering up thing! Made sense. And she had probably heard that warning many a time before. She just had a bad habit of ignoring it. "Guess we're opposites there. My downfall is that I'm always powering up to explore... alone. But it's really hard to find someone that wants to go out and patrol with me." Of course, she didn't add the fact it happened quite frequently.
Seiryuu nodded in understanding at not knowing many people. Though lately she'd been bumping into quite a few at this park... "I just follow their energy signatures." She said with a small tilt of her head. "Or come here." She added with a laugh. "This park seems to be a safe haven or something. Been meeting a lot of others here lately."
Glancing around, she looked back at Alya. "Maybe, for tonight, I can offer you some company? We could walk around the park a bit. That's totally patrolling, right?"

Alya lifted his head and laughed at her offer. It seemed good natured; he nodded shortly afterwards. “I would like that a lot, I think. I’m not worried about being alone,” he tried to clarify. “I spend most of my time alone—well. Either that, or surrounded by a hundred people. But that’s work, or in the clubs. Everything else,” he shrugged.
“Powering up like this, I’m just not in my element. I haven’t figured out how to master it. I can’t say I’m insecure about all of it, it’s just…”
He seemed to search for the right word and then just gave up. “I know it’s not all about being social and making friends, but no one goes to war alone, right? It seems like they should have set us up a little better if they were going to ask us to fight the Negaverse. Instead, we rely on meeting up in the park and hoping we don’t scare each other away. Because, I have to say, I would worry about who was coming up to me, trying to talk to me if I were you. A girl, alone in the park? It’s dangerous. I wouldn’t want anything bad to happen to you.”
