All things considered, Captain Lopezite considered he was doing fairly well for himself. Nice weather, a relaxing evening, and some time to clear his mind.
He was in the park again--a fairly active place to meet up with powered people, he'd since learned--only, he wasn't particularly looking for people tonight.
THe option was open, of course, and a part of him hoped he'd run into a familiar face. He wasn't taking any effort to steer clear of the energy signatures that popped onto his radar but unlike usual, he wasn't seeking them out. Per se.
He had noticed a few minutes ago that if he kept walking straight, he'd walk right into a Senshi's path. He had thought about weaving around it, taking a secondary path...but his feet kept him on this one.
He rested his hand on the hilt of the sword on his belt as he walked--and was relaxed enough that he was humming a little tune to himself.

While her usual reasons for winding up in a, now, very familiar park were due to her insomnia, that was not the case tonight. Or not completely the case. There had been some rumor she'd overheard - or eavesdropped on - about a strange cat-thing someone had seen around the area. But for the life of her, Seiryuu had not been able to locate such a thing. She'd been all around the park, noting that there were a lot more energy signatures out tonight as well.
With luck failing her, she'd wandered back towards the park to walk about it while she tried to think of anything else she might have heard.
Unconsciously, her pace had begun to slow. It wasn't until she heard the humming that the senshi realized she wasn't alone. Or, to be more accurate, there was someone else walking the same path she was. When the humming one came into view, too late, she realized what else her instincts had been trying to tell her.
".... Ah, crap." This one reminded her sort of how Chrysocolla's energy had felt. She instantly tensed, preparing to run or fight or... something.

Lopezite glance up and a slow smile split across his face when the senshi came into view. He waved and called, "Hello, Senshi! I was looking for you."
It wasn't exactly the truth, but he hadn't not been looking for her energy signature, either. "It's a good night for a walk, isn't it?"
He continued to approach, mindful to make sure that she could see his weapon was sheathed at his side and he was making no effort to release it.
"Is it just the weather that brings you out this late, or something else...?"

He was... looking for her? Was that supposed to make her feel better? Seiryuu gave him a dirty look, hands clenching into fists. "Why the hell were you looking for me?" She hadn't met him before! At least... she was pretty sure she hadn't?
The senshi took a step or two backwards as he continued to approach, a battle raging inside on whether she should trust his easy demeanor... and that infamous curiosity beginning to build as to why he was there and... talking. Did they all like to talk? Chrysocolla had talked too...
"Uh... the weather?" She couldn't help but roll her eyes, standing her ground and crossing her arms. "Nope. Was looking for something." Seiryuu glanced around, wondering if maybe he had the cat-thing? Or if it had been a talking cat someone had seen?
"And you're here because... ?" Her gaze was equal parts curious and distrustful. But maybe a little more curious.

Lopezite blinked. "Well, I was looking for you because I felt your energy signature. So I followed it. Truthfully, that is what I am doing here."
He shrugged; he didn't seem to think it was such a strange thing.
"I have heard much of Senshi, but I don't like to take the word of others. I am curious about where their powers come from and how they manifest. Do you think that is so strange? I didn't mean to startle you. It's just such an odd thing!"
He laughed, perhaps at himself, and combed his fingers through his hair before he moved to rub at the back of his neck nervously. "I mean no ill-will. Would an introduction help?"
Hastily, he offered his hand. "I am Lopezite. It is a pleasure to meet you. I hope."

She wanted to not believe him, though she wasn't sure why. But, Seiryuu couldn't really argue with him on that one. It was something she tended to do as well. So maybe it wasn't all that strange if other people were doing it? On both sides? "Alright, alright. I believe you." She finally muttered.
Seiryuu's stance seemed to lose some of its hostility the more he spoke. Huh. He really was more like her than she'd given him credit for.
"Strange? Nah. But randomly approaching senshi? Maybe a little. I mean... we're supposed to be enemies, right?" She paused, then looked a little sheepish. "Hell, who am I to talk? I'd do the same thing." Had done it.
Their powers? Whaaaat? "What do you mean our powers and where they come from?" This all sounded vaguely familiar. Like one of those things that was explained and she didn't really grasp or pay attention to?
Now there was something more familiar. Seiryuu stepped forward and took his hand. "Lopezite? You guys have strange names.... but guess it's not so bad to meet you either." She shot him a grin. "I'm Sailor Seiryuu." Kyuseisha no Hikari It occurred to me that she's not actually had the chance to use her magic... so this could turn out really funny xD

Lopezite seemed to immediately perk up when she believed him. “Then, it is a pleasure, Seiryuu. You do not have the strangest Senshi name I have heard either, so perhaps we were lucky. I figured approaching you directly was better than sneaking up on you, but,” he shrugged. “Enemies resolve their differences in many ways. I don’t know what fighting will accomplish—I suppose we might bully one side into this or that, but right now I’m just curious. I think asking questions is healthy. Besides, you have been polite!”
He gave her hand a good shake before dropping it.
“But, yes, I was interested in your powers—where they come from, and manifest. What type of magic do you have?” he asked, smile still in place.
