Kit brushed a strand of her white hair from her face, wiping her forehead with a sigh. “We are almost there, just a little more buddy” She said, patting the arcanine beside her. He barked and wagged his tail at her. “Ok ok, calm down Rensha. You guys must get cleaned up after the training session. Today is the day… today we challenge our first gym for this region” Kit squealed in excitement. Beside her the rest of her team joined in with their excitement. Kit giggled a little at their enthusiasm, she adored her partners. Kit grabbed the brush and began brushing through Rensha’s fur, the large canine closed his eyes and sighed at it. ” Good boy Rensha, best start with you since you are the biggest among our family here. This is going to take a while though.” Kit told him as she ran the brush through his fur, working the knots out as gently as she could. Rensha barked a little, trying his best not to wiggle as she worked.
A while Kit was almost done, she was rubbing something into his fur. As she worked on his face something orange crept over towards them. The trapinch stared at the arcanine for a few moments before slipping closer. ” There, we are finally done with you Rensha. Now we can move onto Key” Kit said with a sigh, gesturing at her Kadabra. Suddenly Rensha yelped and jumped up, spinning around and growling. His stomping flicked dirt and the water tub over, sending the suds and dirt everywhere. ” Ah! Rensha calm down. What is wrong?” Kit yelled, dodging the angry arcanine. As Rensha twirled near her she saw the orange thing attached to his tail and groaned, rubbing her temple in annoyance. ” Kurenai! You let go of his tail right now! I was almost done with you guys. Now I have to start all over with your grooming, then groom myself. We can’t go to the gym looking like this!! Rensha stop moving so we can get her! “ Kit shouted as she tried to calm Rensha down. Rensha snarled and growled but stopped spinning, pranced in place in anger. Kit grabbed onto Kurenai and rubbed her belly. The trapinch made a shrill sound and started wiggling, her jaw opening as she started laughing. Kit pulled her away from Rensha and sighed, looking her in the eye. ” Kurenai… what am I going to do with you? That was so mean, you cannot use his tail as a chew toy. Alright guys, can you help me clean this up and we can start again.
An hour later Kit was packing up her bags, her team was nice and clean. Kit had cleaned herself up and was ready to go. Kit returned all her pokémon to their pokeballs except Rensha and her espeon. Rensha crouched so Kit could put Isis up and climb up herself. ” Alright Rensha, lets head to the gym. “ Kit told him. Rensha barked and took off running. Kit giggled and cheered as they ran, wind whipping her hair around. This was one of their favorite things to do. With one last bark Rensha went into full speed towards the gym.
Kit urged Rensha into a run after leaving the gym, wanting to make good time back to the pokémon center. Rensha enjoyed the run, barking a few times as he rushed through the street back to the center. Kit and Isis laughed as the wind rushed through their hair and tugged at them, something they both had always loved to do. Soon they arrived back to the pokémon center and Kit hopped down, grabbing Isis down as well. They walked into the pokémon center and waved to Joy.” Greetings Nurse Joy, can you do a check up on my partners please? We just challenged Jay and won so they could use it. Pretty please?” Kit asked after returning Rensha to his pokéball. Kit walked up to the counter with a grin on her face.
” I take it by the grin on your face you won then? Of course, I would be happy to take a look at them for you. Will you be needing a room again tonight? I can have blissey make one up for you”Joy offered, taking the pokeballs that Kit placed on the tray. Once Isis was placed up she set them on a cart.”No thank you, we are going to head out right after this. I want to make it to lake and then the next town. If it gets to late we can use our camping gear. I am going to use the phone while they are being looked over.”Kit told her and walked over to the call center. She at in a chair In front of a monitor. She typed in a number and hit connect. After a few moments the screen flickered to a younger woman with blonde hair in a ponytail with a joltik at its base.” Oh its only you… Can you call back later?” The girl asked looking annoyed.
”Yeah good to see you to Kari… not shut it and get mom….” Kit huffed in annoyance at her younger sister. Soon enough her sister called for her mother and within moments an older woman with dark hair appeared on the screen. Her violet eyes brightened when she saw Kit.”Kitten!” The woman exclaimed with a bright smile.”Mooom!! Come on someone might hear you. I have a reputation to keep”Kit huffed at her mother with a scowl. She hated that nickname, no way would she be called that if she wanted to be taken seriously. ”Reputation? You have only been there a week… Her mother laughed.Kit groaned at her mother and shook her head. Was her mother serious right now?”Mooom! I have been here a few weeks, now stop or I won’t tell you how I did in my gym battle…”Kit threatened with a scowl. Finally getting her mothers attention Kit told her how she met the gym leader, getting scolded for her stunts before she was able to continue on. Kit showed her mom the badge and finished the story. When her mother started laughing Kit scowled. ”Ugh you are impossible. Anyway mom I need to go, I am sure they are about done and I need to move on to the next place. Love you mom, I will call again soon. ”Kit told her. She bid her sister goodbye to before hanging up and heading to the front desk. Isis leapt over the counter into Kit’s arms, earning a laugh from her trainer. Kit collected her team and headed out after checking a map, she knew the perfect place to go. -exit-
