~{ Ornyx: Throne of Elves }~

User Image

In the Kingdom of Sylvenor, The Throne of Ornyx serves as the official court of all capital officials. Royalty are usually seen in presence and oversees the kingdom's governance. Grand events are held here with different capitals of each district with various people from other provinces. As per decree and law, every foreign parties or acts of independent business shall first have an audience with the king or any royalty prior to entry of these lands. In the presence of royalty, the guest are welcomed to act naturally but in good conduct and delicacy of words.

In the court of Ornyx, a majestic marbled interior of grand lighting and mystic architectural design, lies the lone silhouette of the dark resting casually in silence on the throne. An overture of an enigmatic bloom of soaring mana through every crevice of the room claimed domain to its source gazing from the throne. In the bask of the light that shone from the sky unraveled the dark silk river of hair running from the dark hooded cloak and a single eye gazing onto the entrance of the throne room itself.

How long had it been since Sylvenor became a Neo-Imperialism? Under the guise of the Kingdom's governance through many provinces and authorities united for the sovereign prosperity of the mainland; The Royal Family has sought to both compete and commute with the interest of the other countries. In the very hand of the almighty Elven figure that held the purest orb of clairvoyant manacite in his hand; He would watch the activities of Sylvenor. All appeared to be at peace and productivity for oncoming ventures for expeditions, possibly the search for any unnatural disturbance in the lands or incoming threats. "For what purpose is our salvation if it is not challenged or tested against great feats? There will always be an opportunity for those who risk their own limit to that which cannot be grasped by logic or magic. Soon....very soon we will fulfill what is required of us to conquer the greatest threats yet to be seen. As of now, I require an audience" said the projected, virtuous resounding voice of King Vergaelus La-Sha Ryr Styresyong himself.

At his command, Several flashing white sparks of light vanished in the shape of royal pendant sealed envelopes through the door to the various locations inscribed by the use of a teleportation spell. One to the Queen, One to the Princess, One to the Paladin, One to the Aegis, One to the Magister, One to the Dynast, One to a special guest, and finally a beacon that expanded through the surface floor into a gateway crest for all to accept entry. Would they be prompt enough to show up soon to finally discuss the first meeting to be had since the Kingdom's efforts to finally restore the mainland? Vergaeus was willing to be patient enough to converse among all on equal standing and experience the reality of this council session.

The sealed envelope that was sent to the queen did not have to fly too far for she arrived back at the castle after a lovely stroll through the forest. My my what it this? She asked herself as she reached for the envelope that appeared before her. A letter from the husband? I do wonder what he wants Without hesitation she opened the letter and begun to read what lay within. So you wish to hold an audience.. what am I not to show up to a request She smiled to herself before gracefully making her way to the throne room.

While on her way she would greet every passing servant, guard and other inhabitants with a smile before she came upon the large double doors that lead into the throne room. she would push them open and make her way inside. Good evening darling~` She greeted her husband as she made her way into the room and towards her throne than sat next to her husbands.

If she had been any more enamored with the rosy pearl pinched between her fingers, Ashlyn would have missed the envelope that whisked itself into her sanctum. Although her emerald eyes remained focused on her newest prize, her free hand reached up and snatched the paper before it fell. She sighed wistfully, returning the bauble to its case before she forgot the present and lost herself to the past. The Magister's current project was hunting down and restoring a very old staff that was said to belong to a Volva prophesier. But, the volur and their enigmatic staves could wait. It's not like they had anywhere to go.

Ashlyn turned the envelope in her hand before raising her eyebrows in surprise at the King's emblem. She was being summoned. "Looks like I might have to put you on hold.." Ashlyn clicked her tongue, not seeming to care she was speaking to an inanimate object, and pushed herself away from her ornate and cluttered desk. Her duty to her King and kingdom came first, expeditions could wait. As she left, she plucked up her cloak and flung it over her shoulder, letting it slouch enough so that it hid the entirety of her left arm. Ashlyn didn't particularly enjoy showing off her gauntlet, so it almost always hid beneath the dark green shawl.

It didn't take her long to navigate to the Throne of Ornyx from her chambers, and upon seeing the King and his Queen seated in their respective cathedra, a grin spread across her lips. Ashlyn flourished her bow to the pair as she approached, "Reporting for duty, my King and Queen!" her voice sang, laced with excitement. Being called to do her job was never an inconvenience. In fact, at the turn of events in their kingdom, Ashlyn was eager to follow with what came next.

The sound of the air being sliced filled Eireth's private quarters. He was hard at work training in the art of the pear, an art he was unparalleled at. The enamored audience of both male and female elves clapped and cheer as the elf went through the motions of his training. As he went about his training a white floating object entered the room, fluttering its way over to Eireth, to which he hooked the letter with his spear. "Seems the king has business to discuss" He said in an intrigued tone, quickly fetching some pants and his armored boots. He went to grab a shirt, but saw no need for it, and left at the displeasure of the audience in his room.

Passing through the massive throne room doorway he saw the King, Queen,
& Dynast present. Bowing to each respectively, he removed a rogue strand of hair from his face, his icy blue eyes looking to his king. "How may i serve my lord?"

𝔇eep within the Forests of Aslyra, hidden away in the cottage of his home and shop slept Elidyr. The sun ascended slowly beckoning the shadows to dance along the floor and along the walls in oscillating patterns. It wasn't until the light delineated his cheek did an amber eye open followed by a sigh. Sitting up the lean man crossed the wooden floors into the bathing room to shower. Steaming water cascaded down his body creating rivers between the muscles etched in flesh with eyes closed he scrubbed the soap into his raven hair and cleaned his skin of any contaminants. Once he was content with himself he would turn off the water and dry off with a simple towel wrapped round his waist, noticing a flash of light carrying an envelope with the royal seal. Eli sighed with vexation at being summoned so early and decided the king could wait an hour or two before he showed up. A mask dawned his face followed by his typical attire, drying his hair and tying it back as he made a cup of tea and walked into his study filled with various herbs and spices. He would spend thirty minutes here creating new tonics and poisons before even bothering to read the letter the king had sent him. "Well my liege.. I suppose I shall participate in your little symposium." Eidyr remarked as he finished up his potions and set them aside to be disturbed later. Locking up the cottage Elidyr grabbed his walking stick and made the long journey to the castle. Revealing the letter to the guards up front Elidyr entered the room and glanced to the King and Queen as well as two others he didn't know just yet. However, a quick look upon the young female allowed his memory to filter through the list of faces and names he had memorized; hers' being the latest Magister. Though the shirtless male took a little longer, Elidyr noticed the markings of old injuries quickly told Eli of the mans' occupation as a Paladin. He walked further into the room before bowing to the King and Queen. "You requested my presence, Your Eminence?" Elidyr remarked coolly, glancing to the other company in the room. The king must have something important to discuss if he was asking for so many at once.

Sylrenya had remained busy in one of the many libraries in the castle, catching up one a recently opened book about the history of Sylvenor through the ages. The snow haired "elf" had grown quite curious after being allowed into the kingdom, leading to her thirst for knowledge of this place in hopes of finding something to restore her memory. There was nothing in the annuals of history that seemed to do the trick but she would find a way. There was always something that one could do in the darkest of times. It may take a thousand more elvish lifetimes to find something that she could faintly recall or remember and she would be willing to wait however long. When if she was not an elf, if it were true, she had a feeling that she would be alive to see this nation crumble unless something else came for her. The Aegis was seated in a chair before hearing the whispers on the wind and moving the book from her face to see a letter before her.

It bore the royal seal, a sign that something noteworthy was going to happen and she had been invited to it. "This history lesson will have to wait then." She commented, closing the book and putting it back in its place before gently taking the letter and opening it. The king had summoned a good amount of people, a sign that something especially important was going to be talked about. She smiled in interested and began her long journey from the library towards the throne room. She was the final one to arrive but made it nonetheless. "I apologize for my tardiness, Your Majesties. I was caught up in another fascinating book about Sylvenor through the ages." She said, smiling to both the King and Queen before taking her place among the others. These session had always made her feel somewhat out of place but she was kept around. It had to mean that she was doing an acceptable job. She wondered where the princess was and if she was okay. Given the job that she was tasked it, it was surprising enough to not see Sylrenya attached to the young elf. She was hovering over her for most of her days out of fear something would happen to the elf that she had grown to become fond of.

Landraril Etherstrider

Landraril was out in his favorite part of the forest, sitting on a limb of a tree while playing his ocarina. This was his favorite place to come to relax and enjoy nature. However he suddenly saw a peice of paper flying by on the wind and decided to use it for target practice. He drew one of his throwing daggers and nailed the paper right in the middle, pinning it to nearby tree. When he hopped down to examine his work he realized it was a summons from the King. With a sigh he put away his instrument and sheathed the knife before dashing off toward the castle.

It didnt take him long to reach the throne room where he saw several other nobles already gathered. He took his place among them and kneeled before the King and Queen "What is it you wish of us my lord?"

In idle to the summons; King Styresyong pondered on the thoughts of those summoned and their current state of affairs. While in all reality he already could surmise what the Queen was up to; He had yet to actually meet face to face with any of the others. He knew their names, reputation, and role in the kingdom. One of the primary reasons he called for a sudden council was to familiarize and begin to prepare the kingdom for more important task at hand.

Typically always impeccable with timing as she was with her grace; Takari took seat within her throne next to his own. "Evening, dear. How was everything looking around our borders? Find anything out of the ordinary?" he said over to her as the bang of his hair was flipped over his head. If there was anyone who excelled in natural preservation and reconnaissance; it'd be his wife among those who claimed to be among the pinnacle of the name; Huntress. As always, a gentle and adorned smile planted elegantly across his face.

But before he could converse more about the passions of each other's lives; Vergaelus's gaze shifted to finally meet the Magister in the flesh by the name of Ashlyn Di'Orsinium. Based on rumors of others, he was told that she was a vigorous worker of artifacts and very methodical, striving for ingenuity and practicality in her works. A woman of intellect yet of spirit and consideration for what she values the most in her studies. "Greetings Magistrate. I've heard much about your works and studies. How are your current task going with the artifacts and records? I've been meaning to pay a visit and gain a second opinion based on what I've unraveled recently. Though I am sorry to disturb you; I assure you I have news that may interest you as well" Vergaelus said as he smirked at the newcomer making his way down the aisle.

The commander of Sylvenor's 3rd Root - 7th Branch Military only second to the King himself and the official leader of the Valkyrie Special Forces was none other than Eireth Rolosum. The one and only official crowned Paladin of the kingdom always remained resolute, sharp, unfazed in his diligence and virtue of character. The king was most pleased to see the guise of the divine holy ways had not gone to waste and fated to be in the hands of the one who had bowed before his very eyes. "At ease, Paladin. The news I come bearing brings both excitement and challenge to the efforts of the entire Kingdom at play. It is vital for you to be apart of this council session to discuss the matter in detail as soon as the others have arrived. Alas, I hope every branch of our forces come adequately prepared for whatever obstacle that may threaten Sylvenor as a nation. I will place my hope into you and your efforts to see your options viable once we get started" he said as he nodded and rose from the throne to address the Dynast that entered.

It was often that nobles became informed of important events that may or may alter the activity of the Kingdom as well as the desire of assets. This Dynast in particular was an expert of tonics and toxins that generated significant market value price as well as demand for many occasions. Elidyr Keldan was a man of precious time and effort, calculative in his approach to matters of politics, culture, or even served as a necessary vessel for conducting strategic tactics against foes of many kinds. At least the impression of the word came around to be taken as so. "Indeed, Mr. Keldan. I require your aid and support in this meeting as a subject matter expert in regards to specific findings discovered some time ago. It may involve an unidentified source and what better analysis than someone who excels in the study of science in regards to chemicals or any abnormal life form? We will discuss this too. I look forward to your inquiry" he said now slightly glaring over to see the entry of the assigned guardian of the Royal Family.

The job of an Aegis was to protect under any circumstance, beyond the doubt of the almighty power, the heir or persons of interest within the Royal blood of the Kingdom. Being one of the very few titled Valkyrie; The soul of an Aegis lives to meet the highest expectations in combat, crisis, and corrective action against the will of those who wish to bring any harm to their master. But the history of Sylrenya Ath'endil was among the mystery of her own understanding and capabilities of the Seraph she inherited. And so as she stood among the crowd forming in the throne room; The King grinned and gave a bit of laughter in the direction of Sylrenya. "Do not fret Ath'endil. In due time you will come to understand the history of our Kingdom as well as others. For today, I have gathered you with others for a task that involves your efforts and will to work with your fellow Valkyrie to achieve a greater cause. You, like the others, shall see what will come as a result of this and you shall be given the greatest responsibility thus far in your line of work" he spoke casually and with emphasis on the fact that she would be working with the Paladin along with having a duty much greater than originally given.

Finally, the hunter by the name of Landraril Etherstrider made an appearance as one out of many who were capable of being competent enough to gain clearance for the upcoming matter. Would he be willing to risk himself for the greater good of the Kingdom? Would he be capable of handling the responsibility on par with the others who held the prestige of power and ability that may overshadow his own? Vergaelus cleared his voice and held the divine national treasure Synirmjorn in his hand as he stepped forward to address the entire room as the guards left. "Just short of several centuries ago had we fought to unify the land of Sylvenor as a whole. In several decades we were able to establish the economy, culture, and military prowess of our very nation. And now here we stand again for a cause unknown to the stability of Sylvenor once more.." he said slowly looking across the group slowly and speaking in a stern, direct manner.

"Within not only our nation, but many other nations of diverse origins, our expeditionary forces have encountered three phenomena in which brings question to our current welfare as a nation. The first is the existence of the sacred dungeons in which possesses an immense aura of unparalleled power. It was said that this area is filled with obstacles, barriers, and abnormal threats that seek to protect against intruders. The second is the existence of a sacred artifact that is well protected by whatever lies deep below in the chamber it resides. We lost half of the expedition crew on the way to reach and discover what may be hiding inside, but they triggered something they shouldn't have and was forced to retreat. And third....was once an enemy of the entire world of Levadia...The Fallen, have returned...In our own country, much less guarding what the last few survivors have identified as an object called the God Armament. We know little about the full origin of the objects and what purpose they serve for the Fallen. But as it stands now, the coming of the Fallen means we cannot sit idly by and wait to be nearly annihilated by them just like the Faeries were. There must be some secret to discovering the purpose of the God Armaments and their link to the Fallen's existence that we have yet to discover. Now we must discuss our current state of affairs to prepare our Kingdom against not just the Fallen, but the other Kingdoms, and the retrieval of the God Armaments!" he said firmly without hesitation as a declaration to commence this matter official to all in the room.

Takari would turn to him and offer a smile like she always does. "Nothing out the ordinary as of yet my love. Everything is as peaceful as its always been She said in her gentle and calming voice. Her gaze would shift as the magister, Ashylyn walked into the room. The queen always admired the Magister for she always worked with artifacts of the old which intrigued her. Greetings to you Ashlyn. I pray your day is fairing nicely? She would ask as the arrival of more guest came apparent.

The next to arrive in the chamber was the commander of the 3rd root, Eireth. By giving his lack of a shirt she would guess he was busy training before they were all summoned. A light blush crossed the queen's cheeks which she tried so hard to rid of.. I mean... the only one who should get a blush from the Queen should be the king after all. She wold bid him welcome as well as the others who soon walked through the doors. Once everyone had gathered she turned her gaze back upon her king as he begun to speak. Memories began to flood her mind as he spoke about times long ago. She remembered the war that freed Sylvenor and started a time of peace and tranquility but that was not why the King had summoned them today.

He began to speak of dungeons that began to make themselves known, dungeons which held great power. Within these dungeons held artifacts which possessed great power and this alone intrigued the princess and she knew Ashyln would also be intrigued by such news. The king than begun to speak of the Fallen, which the queen heard very little of. She knew the Fallen were a race that stands more powerful than all the others, a great force that could not go unaware of. Hmm this is quite the predicament, to say the least. If what you speak of is true and the Fallen have returned, then best we boost or defenses around the kingdom for the worst possible outcome. Now for this artifact, God Armaments as you stated, I am rather intrigued by them. A light chuckle would escape her lips next. I myself would not mind to get my hands on one if it means to learn what powers they may hold

Days being spent in the Republic of Karst, Vethra hadn't seen her home in quite some time. Being a professor of Karst had its perks including venturing into the unknown, however the known they seldom ventured back into. Thus, her home had been calling to her for some time now. Having to part from her clan a few years ago was a hard decision, however her crave for knowledge had grown severe and the need to start her adventure had begun. It also hadn't helped that despite being deeply respected, to the point she was revered a God, she wanted something else. Something her clan could not offer, thus she bitterly parted ways. That was a few years back and now she remained in Karst, writing letters back and forth between her father and mother whom she deeply loved.

Now settled in Karst, Vethra spent her days reading, writing, teaching, and learning. She was often found in the garden, reminding her of her clan back at home. She studied the gardens grow, writing in her notebook helpful hints on healing potions and juices, possible remedies. It was at her garden that another from Karst offered her a letter. Vethra welcomed the interruption and gracefully took the parchment, scanning the front and once turning it over, exposing a crest she knew of, but did not expect. "Hm.." she hummed, another hand tracing across the parchment. "It seems I am needed elsewhere..." As she read the invitation. Rather odd, typically it was her father that received such invitations. Vethra drew herself up and gathered her belongings in the evining and excused herself from Karst, venturing off back into the homelands.

A days travel and soon she was back on soil she had longed for. Sylvenor was a vast and beautiful land, vastly different than Karst, it was refreshing to the beautiful Vethra. She was apart of Falgnir and sadly she could not venture over there as it seemed the King needed her, still this idea held Vethra on edge. Just what exactly was needed from someone whom couldn't fight, who wouldn't fight? She was a lover, the lover. Many people ventured to her for blessings of peace and love as she never laid a hand on anything. So why would she be invited?

Vethra walked elegantly to just the correct location. Her outfit bore a white, sweetheart neckline, sleeved dress that exposed her vallaslin on her face. A cape was worn, pale blue and hue of gold that matched her golden belt. And when she entered, it nearly demanded attention, however she was silent, moving slow as she seemed to interrupt a speech half way through. Her eyes scanned across, knowing no faces thus far, she stood back and clasped her hands forward, ears peeking through her blacken locks. A soft smile pressed against her lips as she eyed everyone "I do apologize for interpreting.... I come from Karst, the venture was my tardiness. I am curious to why I have been invited? I cannot offer much besides healing and few knowledge." Vethras voice was velvet, ever soft and soothing. Her body remained in the back, voice loud enough to be heard by everyone, however refusing to be anything more.

A quiet hum snuck past the elf's lips. Before responding to her King and Queen, she took a moment to consider all that Vergaelus had said. From her current work to the state of the kingdom, there certainly was a lot at bay. In regard to the Fallen, Ashlyn knew immediately her worth was limited. She could not hunt, only protect. And, alongside protecting, she had quite the knack for finding things that were lost. Or, in this case, not entirely meant to be found by just anyone. Dungeons and God Armaments were right up her alley.

"My day just got a lot better." she responded, both as an answer to the Queen and her delight at the King's speech. A small grin had found a home across her face. It was the only clue to the excitement that seared through her, "I can certainly set aside my current projects for something of this.. caliber." Her eyebrows raised at the end of her statement.

"The God Armaments were used in the War. They helped drive the Fallen into the Badlands so that we could remain safe. Levadia would not have lived to see better days without them." The gears in Ashlyn's brain began to turn. There were very few accounts of what happened to these weapons after peace had settled, but the Di'Orsiniums had found no trace of them in recent times. She suspected the Faye and their enchantment over the items had something to do with their disappearance. Ashlyn chewed her lower lip, "But, the Armaments appearing alongside the return of the Fallen is no coincidence." Armaments and Fallen were two entities better left separated. If the weapons were surfacing in response to a Fallen uprising, it was their duty to get to them first.

"Where did our expedition team come across the dungeon?" Part of her realized that, had she been apart of that team, she may have died. But, she still wanted to be apart of the crew that scouted the area. If she could see an anomaly for herself, perhaps her extracurricular studies in investigating accounts and procuring items of monetary or sentimental value that had once been stolen or lost could be put to good use? The Di'Orsiniums were infamous treasure hunters, and Ashlyn was not exempt from that passion.
