Something didn't feel right. Themisto was perplexed, having stopped during his patrol of Destiny City near one of its busy arcades. The place featured food and alcohol for those over twenty-one, complete with flashing lights and electronic noises iconic for such an establishment. Themisto, not being a gamer himself, didn't see much enjoyment cramming oneself into a dark room with loud noises and people who, stereotypically, didn't bathe often. But something was off here. The senshi could have sworn he felt something nearby but when he stopped, the sensation seemed to have moved. Themisto had no idea how else to explain it. Perhaps they were moving parallel to him, or they powered down? Either way, it felt like a bad idea to leave, so he squatted on the roof of the arcade and waited....

He was rewarding himself. Despite being underage, Epidote fully intended on treating himself to a night well done by sneaking his way into the new adults-only arcade, Elite. He knew they served booze, but he wasn't sneaking in to drink, no. He was there to get his fill of all the new games that had launched that month, on top of sneaking a little bit of energy here and there from distracted gamers. It was the perfect plan and he knew Stella would be SO psyched to see him arriving home with hands and pockets full of energy orbs. She would applaud him for being so clever and not even mind that he spent most of the evening playing video games instead of his Negaverse duties. Dark boots sauntered their way down the sidewalk, the sound of the base thumping in the distance coming from his destination. The venue was lit up with all sorts of crazy lights and music, which successfully distracted him away from the aura that lurked above his head. This was going to be epic night - he could just feel it. Lucifer Force A-Okay for me, friend!! biggrin

Ghouliboo You and Epi are the best, Ghoulie. XD Ah, there they were. Themisto wasn't exactly super stealthy, but ditching the wooden shoes definitely helped. Whoever this guy was, he was on the senshi's level in terms of power, which gave Themisto a fighting chance. Maybe. Either way, he was certain the Negaverse agents were up to no good and thus needed to be stopped. Dropping from the roof and trying to use the deep, thumping bass as a possible distraction while sneaking up behind the lieutenant. With a deep breath, the senshi tried to calm his shaking nerves. He'd never done this sort of thing before. Kari said the Negaverse take people's energy, that they had some kind of quota, but other than that, Themisto had very little idea of what the Negaverse was actually up to aside from the generic "no good". He had yet to meet a Negaverse officer that wasn't harming someone or something in some capacity. Even if Kari was donating, there was something seriously wrong. "EY!" he shouted, not able to come up with much else. "Where you goin'?" Oh yeah so intimidating.

He froze as he heard the voice holler, the sudden realization dawning on him that he may not be the only powered being on the streets tonight. The sinking feeling in his gut assured him of his assumption as he turned, now faced with a dark haired boy wearing a rather shredded looking fuku. The aura was clear now, a nauseating feeling growing stronger with every step the man took. Yes. Yes, it appeared that this senshi had been addressing him, possibly even following him - but how? And for how long? Did he suspect Epidote's plot with the arcade? No...no, he couldn't possibly, right? "I'm.... going to play a few games?" One thumb gestured back towards the arcade next to them. Eyes narrowed, but then relaxed. How would Stella react? She always played this sort of thing off, he'd been witness to it, now it was time to apply her tricks for himself. "Is that okay with you? Or are you going to stop me from having a decent evening, buddy?" Lucifer Force No, you are, I'm horrible with starts!

Ghouliboo Psh but you're so talented. ;~; also I don't care who wins or loses~ so whatever works best for you works for me! Right, right. The agents of the Negaverse would be crafty, naturally. Ember said as much - Chaos was insidious, poisonous. Keep that in mind. Out to hurt people, corrupt people, out for their own ends. With a nod, Themisto took a few steps forward. "You're not out for a good evening, are you?" With a frown, the senshi did what he could to recall Fai's training. Make a fist but keep the thumb inside so you don't break it on someone's jaw. Remember that Chaos had an agenda. "You're out for that energy quota." Remember Kari's words. Remember how she said she was donating to keep the Negaverse away from normal people. But that was only for Stellerite, wasn't it? This guy clearly was not Stellerite. "What do you guys get outta taking energy form people, huh? What's that get for you? Can't you use your own?"

Pffft. Who did this jerk think he was? "Wouldn't you like to know?" Truth be told, Epidote probably did too. The teenager didn't have a clue as to where all his harvested energy went - he simply did as he was ordered to do. Stella and Alkaid were the big honchos in his mind; Epidote knew there were some higher powers out there, a Queen even, but as far as his little world was concerned, pleasing the two women he looked up to was the key to surviving in this new, Negaversian world of his. Legs spread out, bracing himself for whatever this goon was planning on doing. He hadn't attacked him yet, but considering the last senshi he ran into did, the blonde wouldn't be surprised if it was a typical style of greeting for the White Moon. "It was a good evening for me, actually, until you showed up." His remote was tucked into his belt, but Epidote considered the piece of plastic useless. Eh, maybe he could bash him over the head with it, but otherwise it was nothing but a pointless prop - his fists, however, could do some real damage. "So are you going to keep asking dumb questions or are we going to get this over with so I can go back to having a good night?" Lucifer Force I'm good with either, honestly! They can get a few licks in before they both take off. I don't mind Epi getting beat up, he's a little snothead, LOL

Ghoulieboo Sailor Scout Attack: Perditus Anima! Themisto calls out the name and a semi-transparent and semi-horrifying lost soul appears about ten feet behind the target and shoots toward them quickly. The soul looks like a distorted, disembodied and ghostly skull that makes very low, guttural moaning/wailing sounds. If it connects, the target feels great bouts of heartache and fear. They themselves feel lost or forgotten just like the souls Themisto conjures up. The attack is meant to be a distraction more than anything else.
• Single target (unless two people happen to be standing very close or are holding each other, in which case the attack is split between the two for half duration) • This attack can hit Themisto/allies/other people if the soul is dodged. • The attack lasts 20 seconds. • Themisto can use this attack twice per battle. • The attack can travel through solid matter, but since it dissipates after 10 feet, the solid matter has to be pretty thin for this to mean much of anything. This guy was itching for a fight and while Themisto didn't consider himself a well-versed fighter, this lieutenant wasn't going to be questioned and wasn't going to walk away without a fight. Truthfully, the senshi was afraid it would come to this, but how could he help save the city like Ember had said without getting beat up and his hands dirty? Themisto held out his hands and figured, best give it his best shot. "Perditus Anima!" About ten feed behind the lieutenant manifested a disembodied, semi-transparent head upon equally ghostly shoulders. It's face was twisted and contorted in pain and suffering and it started to almost reach for Epidote, floating through the air. It's wails were faint until it drew closer to the lieutenant. Themisto had almost forgotten what his attack actually did, and had forgotten it didn't appear in front of his target, but behind in. In a split-second rash decision, the senshi charged his Negaverse adversary, hoping to at least pinch him between a rock and a hard place. Figuratively speaking. ((Sorry, Epi! ;; ))

As the senshi called out his attack, Epidote braced himself for impact. If this jerk's attack was anything like Sailor Kari's, he knew he was in for a brutal amount of pain and angu--- Wait, what? The tension in his pose relaxed as nothing happened. Suddenly, a loud, drawn-out moan erupted from behind and the Lieutenant chanced a glance back to see what the startling noise was. As the ghastly apparition appeared, he felt his heart skip a beat, the tall young man spinning around to turn his back to the senshi, backpedaling away from the ghoul that had outstretched its translucent arms in his direction, slowly floating its way in his direction. Little did he know, but that wasn't all that Themisto had planned. Walking backwards merely hastened the physical attack that the other boy was attempting, the shove sending him hurdling forward with a terrified scream as he was slammed face-to-face with the grueling spirit. As the terror of the situation set in, Epidote did the only thing he could think of. He ran. Eyes shut tight, his lungs continued to force air out at an alarming rate, the teenager screaming to high heaven as he dashed down the sidewalk, doing his best to distance himself from the spooky senshi and whatever the hell that kind of black magic was. Lucifer Force that moment when you write an entire post and then you accidentally hit refresh when trying to tab out and lose everything whelp SO THIS IS MY RESPONSE V.2 SORRY

Ghouliboo Themisto didn't see this coming at all and is like... ....Final Fantasy Victory Fanfare??? The senshi thought he had this relatively planned out. The pincer attack seemed like a great idea! He decided to internally pat himself on the back when he escaped from the battle alive, but... The ghoulish, gruesome spirit his attack conjured up startled Themisto as well, and he was caught off guard as Epidote slammed into him and started running off, screaming to the high heavens. Themisto landed flat on his back, one shoe flying off in a random direction and the wind blew out of his lungs. Coughing, he rolled over and thanked the stars that the spirit had disappeared by the time he caught his breath. Was... was that a win? By himself? Scratching his head, Themisto couldn't help but grin stupidly as he sought after his damn shoe.
