Ara wandered from rooftop to rooftop on her patrol scanning for trouble magical or otherwise. It was only her second night of patrolling but she was disappointed she hadn't yet had a chance to fight the enemy, that would change tonight though as she felt a dark aura that gave her goosebumps. So this is what chaos feels like. She thought to herself. They don't feel impossibly strong so maybe I can take them. She thought with a smug smirk as she turned in the direction of the aura and started racing towards them.
The aura led her to the park which she thought was strange, wouldn't the park be deserted at this hour what would an evil doer have to gain here. But still whatever they were doing. As she saw the guy in question he looked like someone out of Aladdin, which was a movie she really liked.
"I'd don't know whatever you're doing but I'm going to stop you Negaverser!" She shouted out to the man. Though she was a little confused he didn't look like he was doing anything bad, there weren't any hurt civilians or monsters nearby. "Um what are you doing?" She questioned.

Captain Lopezite paused and turned slowly to glance at the voice. It had sounded young and, when he turned, he realized it was because the person speaking was young. Her energy signature was weaker than most he'd felt--even of basic first stage senshi, so he seemed a bit surprised.
"Oh. Hello," he said, looking down at her. "I was just taking a walk," he answered, somewhat suspicious of the child. He couldn't help but be slightly amused, no matter how seriously he was trying to take the whole thing.
"What are you doing out? It is a little late...are your parents not worried about you? I have not seen a Senshi so small, even I am worried about you!"

"A...A walk, how is that is that evil? You're suppose to be doing something evil."She demanded, was this suppose to be some kind of trick. She knew the Negaverse was evil so why would an evil dude just be out for a walk in the park. He should be scheming something or trying to hurt innocent people, it only fit.
"Hmph my papa is away on a buisness trip and mama thinks I'm in bed." She said with a smug smile. "I'm very mature for my age." She took pride in her independence and she felt like becoming senshi only further proved how much of a grown up she was.
"I...I don't need the enemy worring about me, I can take care of myself. I have magic!" She exclaimed a small blush on her face as she cross her arms and pouted. She didn't like it when people fussed over her but especially not someone she was suppose to beat up, it was like having a bully ask if she was feeling ok it was just wrong.
"As for what I'm doing I'm patrolling to make sure the negaverse doesn't hurt anybody." She proudly declared.
"I'm Sailor Ara, the senshi of illumination. You shouldn't forget that name."

"I shouldn't forget?" Lopezite tilted his head to side. "I'm not so old that I've gone senile, little one. I try to keep a good record of who I meet. It would be rude to forget you."
He held out a hand and thought it only fair to exchange his name as well. "I am Lopezite. You mentioned your age, though--how old is that? I don't mean to pry, but it seems a bit unfair to send out child warriors. Although, I am glad that you have magic. I hope it keeps you safe, though..."
He seemed to be debating. "...What does it do, exactly?"

Ara blushed she had said it cause she had heard it in action movies and thought it sounded cool and he had taken it seriously. "Why are you being nice, we're supposed to be enemies right, shouldn't you be attacking me."
She was thoroughly confused everything she had read indicated that this encounter shouldn't be going like this. Was this a defective agent?
Then she remembered a bit in the primer 'Some agents may be friendly and open to conversation, but be on alert.' Maybe this was one of those agents then she would talk with him but she would be on guard.
"I'm eight and a half." She answered, the half was a very important distinction for her, after all it meant she was almost nine.
"I asked to be powered, no one is 'sending' me out here." She wanted to make that clear she didn't like the idea of someone thinking bad of mr. Hania. She had basically begged him to power her it was her choice to sneak out each night.
"I can fire light blasts from my hand." She answered honestly, though it wasn't like she had done it before she just knew she could.

Lopezite pursed his lips and shrugged. "I think 'enemies' is a bit of a harsh term. You have your point of view, I have mine. At most, I'm just interested in Senshi. I don't have enough of an opinion to know if we should be enemies. And--I certainly never imagined I'd be enemies with someone less than half my age! That seems a little unfair."
He shrugged once more. "You can fire light blasts, though? I don't think I've ever seen anything like that. Would you like to show me? I'd like to see what a senshi like you could do, if that's all right? Maybe we could have a little match--three rounds from me, three from you. Nothing lethal, nothing to send you to the hospital--no aiming for the face. Would that appeal to you?"

"I guess that makes sense but if you're so nice then why are you with the negaverse in the first place? I've read about them they have done terrible things." She questioned curious. Why didn't the man just become a knight or senshi, it didn't make sense to her.
"Huh? Are....are you sure mr. Lopezite I might hurt you." She didn't know how powerful her magic was. Golden eyes searched the older man's face and saw that he was serious about this. "Ok but don't expect me to hold back just cause you're nice. So three rounds." She thought for a moment planning her strategy.
"Ok." She said before she moved fast slamming her small fist into the the Captain's gut, she knew she would be no match for a grown up in terms of strength but she could aim for weak points and she knew the guts were one such weak point. She follow that up by aiming her palm at the same area.
"Ara Luminescent Starshine!" She yelled as a mote of iridescent light formed in the palm of her hand and shot forward into the Captain's stomach knocking him off his feet with it's force. The whole area was illuminated with the bright light for a moment. She moved quick with her third move she stood over the knocked down officer and aimed her hand at his solar plexus and fired her magic once more.
Her breathing was a bit labored after that but she felt proud surely that won her the match, right?

Lopezite had laughed--good naturedly--when she mentioned hurting him. It wasn't that he didn't intend to take her seriously, just that he was used to getting a little rough. He had brothers and, having been the smallest, he had been on the receiving end of their mischief and roughhousing more often than not.
He wasn't worried about getting hurt; he was worried about hurting her. But she was enthusiastic--and already making the first move. That, he hadn't quite expected--but he could work with it.
The punch to his gut wasn't painful; it was uncomfortable, but he had the advantage of a good belt. The magic was a bit more inconveniencing; he hadn't expected that sort of blast. The magic had knocked him off balance and as he was going to push himself up, she fired again. He felt a distinct burning sensation where the magic had hit--but he wasn't one to waste an opportunity.
He used only one move--while she was trying to catch her breath, he swept his leg behind her. He aimed for the back of he knees, intent on knocking her down to the ground with him even as he moved to push himself up.
"That burns!" he said, rubbing his hand over his chest. He didn't sound like he was in pain; rather, he seemed fascinated. "I expected to be blinded, but not burned! That is fascinating! --Are you alright?"

Ara hadn't been expecting the leg sweep and was swiftly knocked onto her back. She had the wind knocked out of her as she squeezed her eyes shut waiting for the next blow to come, preparing herself for the pain. But it never did instead he began talking.
She propped herself up as she looked at him confused. "I think it might be like how you get a sun burn from being in sunlight for too long. It probably wasn't blinding cause I didn't hit your face." She reasoned.
"I'm ok."She said dusting off her skirt. "Why didn't you hit me when I was down?" She asked a bit suspicious.

Lopezite raised a brow. “Because you were down,” he answered honestly. “It hardly seemed fair to strike again.” He rubbed at his skin, trying to dispel the strange sensation he’d felt from her magic. It didn’t hurt but he certainly wasn’t a fan. “I didn’t want to hurt you.”
He didn’t sound like he was lying, and rather than be distracted with trying to attack her, he seemed like he was just trying to understand her magic. He seemed impressed, but magic was always a thing that fascinated him. “We were sparring,” he added a few seconds later. “Not fighting. I am not so cruel that I would kick you while you were down. Unless, of course, you were insistent on attacking me, perhaps then I might have more motivation, but so far as I’m concerned, we aren’t enemies.”

Ara frowned "I'm sorry I hit you then." She apologized, feeling a bit like a bully or cheater now. Neither of those things she liked.
"I only want to fight bad people and you don't seem like a bad person." She said nodding her head.
Before she could say anything else she heard a clock chime, looking at a nearby street clock she realized how late it was. "Sorry mr. Lopezite I should probably go home now."

Lopezite blinked and then smiled. “I am glad to hear that you only want to fight people, and that I don’t seem like a bad person. But, you are right, it is getting late. You get home, and be safe. I hope we can cross paths again sometime.”
He raised a hand and waved slightly before he brushed himself off and turned away from her. He had no intention of following her home and was content to give her the privacy she needed. He had plenty of things to do tonight—including trying to figure out what could have happened to make a cat want to make a warrior out of someone so young.
