And he was out; they hadn't fallen asleep so much as been overpowered. Somehow the skeletal male had managed to find his hidden strength again and as he barreled out of the warren he didn't look back. His only intention was to get out, to place distance between himself and these beings before it was too late. It was beyond him as to how, or why, the wraiths still hadn't shown up. What was it that they were currently waiting for, had these allies not yet notified them, or was it that those who wished to have his head were simply crossing a much greater distance than their cohorts?

The lion would have to ponder on this conundrum when he had breached the forest's edge and could once again head in his preferred direction. For now though, it was a case of navigating these warrens accurately. Unbeknownst to the green lioness, he had memorised the manner in which they had come in the first time. Effectively retracing the steps in which he had been dragged, it wasn't long before the light touched his fur and the whisper of the wind once again touched his ears.

...To say he felt relief...

Well, he felt more than just a touch relieved, but he couldn't rest now, not yet. He had so much farther to run and based on the traps that the green lioness had navigated through the first time to get him here, he was going to have to tread with considerable caution. Thus, it was with a hardened jaw and narrowed eyes that the skeletal lion began to making his way back through the undergrowth. Every now and then he would stop, take a moment to gather his bearings and then continue, but he was truly on borrowed time.

Those two lions wouldn't stay down for long and they would be hot on his tail, hell, they even had friends to aid them but it wasn't as if he had done this all alone before. This would be no different and he would succeed, even with his vision bizarrely quietened, he would still be able to flee effectively. After all, they had needed three to catch him before, and one of those had been a monster.

...These two were nothing in comparison to him.

"Ow," Suu'marle snarled as she rolled herself out from underneath her supplies. She had been thrown into the depths of her pots, shattering many of the crudely made articles in the process. All around her, her potions lay in ruins, leaving nothing of substance for her to use. It was going to take more than just a few days to fix this. No, it was going to take weeks to brew and mix the concoctions that she had at her disposal, and she sincerely hoped that none of those were going to be required soon - given that Adar had been incredibly quiet as of late, she assumed that they were safe.

...For now at least.

"How?" she asked incredulously as she rolled her shoulder and turned towards Havase. He had been thrown to the wayside as well, they had been treated like ragdolls, and it shouldn't have been possible. The goddamn lion was a skeleton, he'd barely eaten or drank anything, and yet he was exhibiting and absurd level of strength. It was unnatural, and one even she was questioning, in a manner of speaking it was an impossibility.

"They don't ******** about, Suu'marle," Havase gasped as he finally righted himself, gritting his teeth as he inspected himself for any damage. To Spectre's credit (or was it discredit in this case?) the fleeing male hadn't done any permanent damage. Instead he had thrown them away, struck them so hard that they were left dazed, and had very obviously fled the scene. The male couldn't even be mad at this, Spectre had displayed exactly what the Sleepers were known for.

Endurance and unwavering determination, Spectre's will to survive had all but crushed their desire to hold him. He had questioned their conviction and in but an instant, he had proven that they had not been resolved. They had struggled with their own feelings, whether it was right to do this to one they knew and loved... and it had come to bite them in the a**.

He'd have laughed if it wasn't for the severity of the situation.

"He's a ********, Sleeper," he spat and started off at a limp towards the warrens. "We don't have much time," he stated and nodded abruptly. "Grab whatever is left, we need to catch him before we lose him completely," he paused.

"And if we don't leave now, we will lose him." He stated.

"Go," Suu'marle ordered as she spun round to inspect the remains of her den. "I'll catch up, just keep sight of him," she glanced over her shoulder. "I need to find something, anything I can pick up," she muttered. It was with a series of curses that she returned to the ruins of her pots and satchels.

Suffice it to say that Spectre's aim had, albeit unintentionally, been true. By throwing her into her own belongings he had effectively negated a large amount of their ammunition against them. It was with this in mind that the green lioness was forced to accept that on this occasion her options were very limited... And thus, with a grimace she swept up one of the few things that seemed to have survived.

The consequences would have to be dealt with later, but for now she cast their possibility to the side and bolted after Havase...

"Where?" Havase was rarely the type to be short, but in the given circumstances he didn't have much time for diplomacy. They had already lost far too much time in their dazed states and by now the bloody lion could have been anywhere. Fortunately, Suu'marle had a huge number of friends at her disposal and no sooner had he asked the question that he was being accurately directed through the forest. One by one the vipers had raised themselves from their hidden places and directed him towards his goal, acutely aware that time was of the essence.

No doubt that the lioness would follow behind him with ease, so for now he simply focused on trailing the skeletal lion. On this occasion he would have no choice but to accept that he might very well have to fight tooth and claw to subdue him, at the very least to buy time for Suu'marle to do what she needed to do. While he knew the majority of her beloved potions had been destroyed, there would be one or two things she could use...she was not a lioness who lacked for contingencies.

However, it was as he was directed by another Viper that he overheard a second speak and he was struck with an idea. This entire forest was laden with traps, Suu'marle had actively placed them, more so as tests than to deliberately harm another. Given the forest was all but deserted, she had the rare opportunity to toy with her ideas and to perfect them, as the viper had implied...she had never seen the reason to remove them.

It was with this in mind that the lion sought to herd Spectre into one of these traps, and with the guidance of the vipers who were now aware of his intentions, he set his plan into action as he finally caught sight of the white lion in the distance.

Spectre had been had, and he knew it.

The hissing of the vipers had been unmistakable, especially as the male had drawn closer. It had only been a matter of time though, Spectre was truly no fool despite what they might have thought, and he had known that eventually their allies would assist them. This didn't mean that he was going to give up without a fight though...

Instead, he quickened his pace, and unbeknownst to him, he began to head directly towards one of the traps that Havase had been attempting to herd him into. It was one that he hadn't been aware, one that he hadn't passed by on his way here with the monster in tow. Thus, it was one he simply couldn't prepare for.

It had been with delight that Havase realised that he was going to succeed, or at least he thought he was going to, until he heard the words...

"Havase!" the lioness's voice broke through the clearing long before she did, then again it had always been difficult to spot the lioness in this particular type of environment. It would take the male's, both males' eyes to adjust to the fact that she had managed to catch up quite some time ago, and as Spectre plunged ever closer towards the trap, she realised that she was operating on very limited time.

"Get out of the way!" she howled.

It was with relief that she saw Havase heed her warning, though his expression was one of confusion as she set herself on a collision course with the white male. If Havase had assumed she had any intention of attempting to overpower the skeletal beast, he was wrong. On the contrary, she had checked her own morals at the door, and she had opted to use something far more potent.

As she drew within striking distance she tossed the satchel into the air, it soared the remaining distance and exploded as it struck the ground, sending the grey powder into the air. The effects weren't immediate, but several minutes after white male had run through it, she watched him come to a halt, a somewhat vague expression on his features, it was like he was lost.

"I see..." she murmured softly as she finally moved towards him, Havase following shortly, though he aimed to give the powder a wide berth for the time being, even if it did remain on the ground.

"So that's how it works," Havase murmured and pursed his lips.

"That's how it works..." Suu'marle confirmed meekly.

"I think it's time we had consulted with Destati," he cleared his throat and looked back towards the now still lion. To say that what he saw was uncomfortable was an understatement, but they had truly had no other choice...
