He’d sent a text to Cordy to let her know not to look for him that weekend, that he’d be spending the time out on his asteroid, so she didn’t worry if she reached out and he didn’t answer. His senshi phone worked out there but somehow he figured she wouldn’t think to text him with that before she freaked out if he didn’t answer his normal phone. After he’d texted her he packed a bag and left for his ‘home’.
There was still a decent chunk of the library to explore but he’d decided he was going to go out and catalog a few things. He couldn’t read any of the books but plenty of them had symbols on them and, if others would be cooperative, then he could at least start figuring out who’s books they had. That would at least give him a good idea of who his people had been closer to. More books from one place would probably mean better connections.
When he arrived in his camp he set his bag down, grabbed one of the battery powered lanterns, and the notebook he’d set aside for cataloging before heading off into the library. The notebook looked a bit weird with his scribbled symbols and the tick marks beside them but he at least understood what it meant.
Right now no one else needed to be able to read his strange short and or his notes.
He’d made note of where he was in the rotunda, one of the star markers set into the floor marked where he’d stopped, and he set his things down there. The ladders that hung from the shelves at least were still in good shape and sturdy so he pulled one over before climbing up.
He didn’t know how long he spent going over the shelves marking off books next to symbols he already had and making new symbols as he found new ones. So far he wasn’t adding as many new symbols when he’d first started this part of his project but at least it was making headway into what places he had books from. Most of them were marked with the same symbole that was on his transformation wand and he assumed was Arsinoe’s personal symbol. Some others he was going to have to ask if they maybe belonged to Corvus.
It would probably be weird if he started asking other senshi’s he ran into if he could see their wands and their symbols but knowing him that’s where he would start going. There wasn’t really any other way to figure out what books came from where.
Sumi might be able to help if the Mauvian’s had a list but he wasn’t sure they did and, if they did, if they’d be willing to share.
When his arms started to get tired and his stomach started to grown he paused and headed back to his camp. He’d made good headway, two more shelves completely cataloged, but his body was determined to make him rest and get lunch before he could go any further. While he ate one of his protien bars and pondered making one of his camping meals he flipped through his notebook.
Seeing all the different symbols just proved his point that once the Senshi worked together. If only they’d listen and do that again.
