People Watching - People are fascinating. While not fond of strangers touching them, Finch does enjoy watching people go about their daily lives. People are interesting - everyone has a story to tell, and Finch just wants to watch the story play out. Finch sometimes just enjoys going out and sitting, watching people various places, doing different things, and finds doing so relaxing, all things considered.

Urban Exploration - Finch has a love of exploring new places and seeing what's in them -- or rather, new old places. Abandoned buildings, empty former mental facilities, and so forth all entice Finch to visit them, and they enjoy the view of urban decay. Although not everything is safe, Finch does try to be safe, and as such is often in and out with photos to remember the foray later. While not the most legal, it is fun, and they find the practice exciting.

Finch is highly observant. As many find it hard to talk to them, they often spend time watching their surroundings, taking in events as they unfold with unerring ability. Finch will gladly point out if someone is acting suspicious, or if someone is otherwise behaving abnormally, and they will try to see what plays out. Usually, if asked and one can get them to talk, Finch can then relay that information. Usually, Finch will catch things before many others, and if significant enough watching is wrong, Finch can alert othes, quickly.

Once Finch knows they have a friend, they cling for life. They will stand by that person for life, and will even allow them to touch them. Friends get a star treatment from being spoilt rotten with handmade gifts and photos to snacks and treats, and Finch will swallow fear to protect a friend or loved one. Finch will see their faults but adore them even with them, finding the whole better than parts, and they will, overall, favor loved ones and friends over most others - sometimes even to themselves, albeit rarely, and to this end those who do get to know Finch know they are dependable, helpful, and above all, there no matter what.

Finch dislikes seeing others forgotten or in pain, and the sweet natured little one will often reach out to those in need or simply common people to remind them they're special as well. Be it their photos, or through sharing food and sometimes clothes and whatever else they can and they ask nothing in return, taking satisfaction in doing a good deed.

Flinchy often sounds like a butchering of the name Finch - however Finch truly is that. Sudden noises, movements, surprises, or touch will earn a scream and the jumpy form of Finch is common if in a group when things become chaotic, or when touched by strangers, or anything close to frightening. Horror films and plain terrifying sights are often right out, and Finch is very easy to intimidate. Not deter, but intimidate, although Finch can swallow this to jump on someone for harming someone they care for.

Gullible
Nobody's that mean! Right?

Finch will believe anyone who shows them kindness. While they seem cold and standoffish, Finch is desperate to be loved and wanted and welcomed by others and will trust just about anyone. This usually leads to a few tricks being effective every time - you forgot your lunch? Have Finch's. Crocodile tears? Finch will buy it. If you suddenly turn on them, Finch will then feel very betrayed, and then hope you're right if you EVER apologize. It usually takes being tricked and lied to a couple times to get Finch to realize that someone isn't nice, and while for big things Finch is less gullible, thy still want to believe others mean well. Nobody's that bad right?

Finch is trusting, sweet, nice, and absolutely positively terrible with emotions. Finch has difficulty expressing their emotions, or at expressing empathy and such. It's not a lack of feeling -- Finch feels quite a bit - but they're often one to have difficulty expressing it. Finch simply isn't one to act soothing like others, only offering shoulder pats compared to a hug (With family and close friends being an exception), or simply acting stilted and awkward about some emotions such as when others are upset. Finch feels the warm fuzzy love and compassion, but acting on it is another beast, one Finch is not sure how to overcome.

PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION

Eyes: Wide, and silver-red. Finch isn't quite one or the other, really. Being biologically femle, they have thick lashes, and they're long too.

Hair: Finch's hair is a chestnut brown, bangs parted left and eyebrow length. The rest is a mix of shaggy, shoulderlength curls and waves.

Face: Finch is rather lean, with a leaner face and slightly paler skin.

Clothes: Finch is very tall and lean, and although biologically female, they're also prone to androgynous clothing. Turtlenecks, pants, and such are ideal in autumn and winter, but in summer, Finch will wear tanks, tees, or cave and try some lighter blouses, if only to be cooler.
