A plot-thread for Setsuna  Setsuna. At first glance, she looks like your somewhat typical, traditional Kumiho. She stands tall and strong, displaying her seven full tails with pride. There is an elegance about her, one that typically only comes with age and experience, of which only the latter she truly has, given she is just a few years shy of thirty.
Looks are deceiving however, as there is far more to the Kumiho than meets the eye.
Most know her as the owner of a small tea shop a few miles from town. She built the place from the ground-up shortly after the Kumiho were discovered and accepted into society. The building is modest in size, though decorated beautifully both inside and out, always filled with the most beautiful of aromas. The walls are black and deep red, and the rooms are dimly lit with lanterns. All of the people that work for her are clad in traditional Kumiho-style clothing, dresses and robes adorned with flowers and ribbons. Many people visit the tea shop, considering it a pleasant and calm escape from the rest of the world.
Few of those same visitors realize what actually happens beneath the floor of that very tea shop.
The Reality. Only those that know the right questions to ask know about what goes on beneath the seemingly innocent restaurant. Deep underground another building lies, where Nightmares and Daydreams alike that work for Setsuna tend to the everyday needs and pleasures of those that come baring coin to pay for such services.
Smoke tends to fill the main room of the apparent brothel, coming from those that opt instead to lounge about inside enjoying the atmosphere and the drugs sold inside.
At the very head of the room, situated in her bed of pillows and surrounded by a handful of beautiful Nightmares and Daydreams alike, all lounging comfortably in her large tails, typically sits Setsuna, also lavishing in the atmosphere that she has birthed for her business.
In Short. Setsuna is a drug lord with hands in sex work and the black market, where she also deals in the distribution of soul stones. She also runs her privately owned tea shop, which is a cover up for the business that takes place underneath.
DISCLAIMER: Almost every aspect of Setsuna's business has not and should not ever be roleplayed in the guild forums or elsewhere on Gaia. Gaia is a PG-13 website, therefore instances of drug abuse or any sort of sexual acts or any similar content will more than likely get you banned from the guild or the website as a whole. This plotline is strictly for use 'behind the scenes' so to speak, or at least kept off-site.

A plot-thread for Setsuna Lycoris Radiata. In our world, it's a beautiful flower from the amaryllis family, also known as the red spider lily or the red magic lily. It's believed that since these flowers typically bloom near cemeteries that they guide the dead into the next reincarnation.
In this world though, the flower functions a little differently. Perhaps it was due to being altered and cross-bred over generations and generations, or perhaps it is because of the magical influences on both Above and Below's land, altering the make-up of the flower. Regardless of the cause, the Red Spider Lily was recently discovered to have some interesting qualities.
When consumed in one of a number of fashions, the spider lily has been known to leave someone in a heightened state. The flower acts almost as a steroid, giving the user a sort of 'rush', making them feel as if their magical powers have been amplified. It gives the individual a 'top of the world' type feeling. Often it is used to help with depression or to get through difficult tasks without exhaustion. However, there are a few side effects that has deemed the consumption of the plant very illegal in both Above and Below.
Because of the feelings the drug causes, some users feel inclined to put themselves into dangerous situations. While the drug has no actual effect on one's magic, it has been known to encourage people to do things that they would not otherwise do. If enough of the drug is consumed, it can be difficult to differentiate between right and wrong, safe and dangerous, etc. There have been cases in the past of individuals using the drug and then performing dangerous stunts because they believe they are suddenly capable of doing so. There are also much worse cases of individuals using the drug to falsely 'empower' themselves for nefarious reasons, ultimately resulting in the harm of both themselves and other people.
Spider's Kiss.One of many different strains of the Red Spider Lily is what is known as the Spider's Kiss. The strain has been slightly altered from the original flower, giving it slightly different qualities from its parent. This has resulted in a change of sensations for the users. Now, the user is more likely to experience a truly euphoric state. Some users may find themselves very relaxed and content, with a very steady attention-span that allows them to focus on any work that needs to be done, while others will experience more of a rush, like the original strain of the drug. With high consumption, it is more likely to experience the latter effects, which is why the drug remains strictly illegal in all parts of the world.
In most cases, Spider's Kiss is a smoked substance, prepared using the dried petals of the flower. Some users looking for a stronger hit will also use the extract of the flower's stem, which can be turned into an oil and consumed a number of different ways.

A plot-thread for Setsuna Open Plots The Harem. This plot spot will always be open, and is the main one I'm looking to find people for. Setsuna has a fascination with surrounding herself with other cute and beautiful people, with the intention of imbuing with them all over time. Setsuna is very proud of her bloodline, and wishes to add to it. She refuses to imbue randomly from the cache or with any of the stones she deals in, however, hence why she so selectively chooses people to be her mates.
She cares deeply for those individuals she chooses to be close to her, and makes time for each of them individually to be alone with her however they wish, whether that be in private or out spending time together.
Setsuna strictly prefers women and more effeminate nightmares and daydreams. She also greatly prefers Kumiho over other races, but that will not stop her from considering others. She also enjoys those that enjoy an oriental fashion sense.
The Workers. The brothel and the tea shop won't run themselves. Setsuna is constantly on the lookout for those looking for work. Those looking for a simple and easy life might be welcomed to work for her restaurant, while those looking for something a little more exciting or pleasurable might find themselves working down in her brothel. This could mean performing or helping prepare and distribute the drugs, it's up to you.
The Rivals. No organization lacks its rivals or competitors. Perhaps your character is a detective, and has a hunch about Setsuna and her business, and wants to out her and have her arrested. Perhaps your character also runs a similar organization, and wants to rid the playing field of any competitors. If you have any ideas, let me know!

Ooooh Mari this is so exciting!
I want to offer up my Ishita for being a worker AND/OR being a part of the harem!
She's a Sluagh so she's rather new to Below in general, but she was drawn to Below because the idea of somewhere where it is never truly daytime was alluring. Ishita is both an exotic dancer and a dealer in illegal substances as well! Her specialty product is unique to her native culture - a stone charged with magic that makes you ~feel things~ when you activate it, primarily tingles and hallucinations. While she's courting clients and teaching them how to use her product, she uses her more "professional" skill - which is her very traditional form of Sluagh dance. Once finding out about Setsuna's tea shop's true nature, she'd likely want to approach her about partnering up and offering her services as a fixture of the brothel.
I'm not sure how you feel about her coloring/appearance, so I'm actually not sure if Setsuna would be super eager about bringing her on board to the harem haha, but I wanted to include something regarding that. As a Sluagh, she shies away from the idea of imbuing with someone she is not 100% comfortable with, but over time she would be likely to get comfortable with Setsuna. Maybe, if Setsuna does like her, it could be a part of the deal/contract for her to be directly involved in the brothel - she must also be a part of the harem. I think that would be a nice tense plot for Ishita!
Her fashion is Indian and Middle Eastern-inspired. Not sure if that's deep enough in "oriental" for your preference, but I figured I'd at least bring it up~ Let me know what you think! heart
