The dark blue and white lioness pouted deeply. She stirred a toe in the dirt, creating a swirl pattern, then blew it away with a deep and heavy sigh. She rolled over onto her side, then onto her back, frowning at the sun and clouds. She had been abducted to this strange and foreign land, forced into the role they called thrall and then left all by herself and gosh darn it if she just wasn't so friggin bored!! Her life was really hard.
Xanthippe sighed again, heavily, but was disappointed once more as it did not have the desired effect because there was no audience for her subtle and morose tantrum. Adelheid had left her all alone- again! Something about needing to talk to her mother about the identity of her father or blah blah blah, frankly she was not in the leas bit interested, but she had smiled and nodded the way that she knew she had to do for Ebumnyami for her pink and purple aunt to just get on with it and be on her way instead of ugh, filling her brain with details and things that she did not care about but would be forced to remember someday. Truly, cruel. She liked Adleheid, though. All of the reaver's family had been welcoming and receptive to her. Adelheid's mother and half-sister were the best, they even pitied her because they had been thralls for a time themselves. Chayah was marked with scars from the ordeal, but Xan suspected her fate was not the same. She was too pretty to mark up like that.
But no one was around to appreciate her prettiness and if that just was not the biggest waste of Xanthippe's life and looks, than she did not know what was. The dark blue and white lioness heaved herself to her feet (dramatically) and sulked off towards where Adelheid had mentioned that perhaps more thralls would be.
