As the sun began to fade and the shadows danced along the streets, extending their reach to the smallest of places, one lone senshi sat quietly, swinging on the now abandoned playground. There had been kids here earlier, some of which she'd watched while reading a book under the trees. But when the sun set low in the sky and parents began to round up the young ones, Harley had decided to remain a bit longer. And once everything was cleared and she was pretty sure no one was around, she'd powered up to start an early night of patrols.
Except the actual 'patrolling' part was lacking. Since she was just sitting there, lightly swinging and pondering things. It wasn't typical of her to really stop and consider things, but that was what she did. The most prominent of her thoughts kept revolving around always winding up out here alone, or not at all.
She had a team. And yes, she always tried to drag them out with her. But she knew they probably got tired of the amount of times she wanted to explore their powered halves. Or how often she seemed to conveniently hear about some rumor to investigate.
Seiryuu sighed, letting her feet drag in the sand while she thought. Maybe... it was time she actually made herself a schedule of times to come out here? Based on what the availability of her friends was? Or... hell! She didn't know. The only thing she was absolutely certain about was that she really enjoyed having the chance to come out here and learn more about what she was capable of!

Caia couldn't help but meander into the park; it was a safe place and, secretly, he liked to sneak onto the swing sets to have a little bit of down time. Naturally, as he neared the swing set, he'd noticed another order signature--but it wasn't until he was close that he also heard the clinking of chains.
It wasn't like he had any claim to the swings, but naturally he was interested to see who might have had the same idea as he did.
He came around, chewing on his lip and hoping he wasn't intruding.
"Uhm--hello!" he greeted, figuring it best to get any awkward introductions out of the way quickly. "Hi! I'm Caia. I wasn't expecting anyone else out here tonight. I hope I'm not intruding? Can I steal the empty seat next to you?" he asked, gesturing to the other swing next to her.

Seiryuu nearly toppled backwards right out of the swing she sat on. The senshi had definitely startled her, but really, it was her own fault for not paying more attention. At least he'd been cheerful enough to say hi. And introduce himself - though she might have missed that part - and... wait. What was he asking?
Getting a firm grip on the chains to either side of the swing, Seiryuu took a deep breath before looking at the other senshi.
"Uh... what?" A brilliant answer. She tried again. "Erm, I mean... sorry. You surprised me. I was sort of lost in my thoughts." She gave the him a sheepish grin.
"You're totally not intruding at all!" She gestured towards the swing beside her. "Go right ahead!" Another pause. "What did you say your name was again? I'm Seiryuu. And it's kind of nice to know I'm not the only one that finds this playground nice." And it was. Though it might have seemed silly to some, it really was relaxing. Especially while just lazily swinging. Kyuseisha no Hikari I'm soooorry I know you just went through and tagged all these ;u; <33

"Oh, I'm sorry!" Caia said quickly. He moved to take the seat and smiled. "It's Caia, hello." He might have offered a shake if they weren't on the swings, so instead he just waved before gripping both chains and pushing off just slightly with his feet. He seemed keen to relax instead of get a workout.
"It's nice to meet you Seiryuu." He said the word slowly, practicing, and repeated it a few more times under his breath until he sounded confident.
"--You know what they say, though. All work and no play, and all! It's hard work being a Senshi. You ought to be able to enjoy it once in awhile, right?"
He toed at the ground as he slowly pushed to keep himself moving. "Do you get lost in your thoughts often? I do," he confessed, and then laughed. "So often that it's probably dangerous for me to go out alone."Kyrieko IT'S OKAY, I'M SORRY FOR HOW LONG IT TOOK ME TO TAG BACK ;;

"Caia." She repeated, making sure she memorized it. "And no worries! It was my own fault for zoning out. But I'm happy to have some company instead." Seiryuu grinned, continuing to swing lightly with the tips of her boots dragging along the ground.
A sputtered laugh escaped and she nodded in agreement. "How right you are! If only more people followed that small bit of wisdom." Maybe they would have less Nega creeps being so cranky?
Seiryuu leaned back a little in the swing, arms extended out as she gripped the chains tighter. "Ah, I'm afraid more often that is safe for me as well." She turned to look at the young man beside her. "Most of the time it's because I know I'm doing something I'll get yelled at for later." A grin was directed at Caia.
"Ha! I can't say that I get too distracted by my thoughts... buuuut I do apparently have this bad habit of being way too curious." She sat up straighter, giving herself a good push with her legs. "What can I say, though? It's way more fun checking out interesting rumors!" Unless said rumors had teeth and claws and tried to eat you. Okay, so most rumors were interesting.

Caia was barely pushing himself on the swing but he seemed to be enjoying even just that. "Rumors?" he prompted, seeming immediately interested himself. He hadn't caught wind of any strange rumors himself, but typically he didn't talk to people about strange rumors.
"Aren't you worried about getting in over your head?" he asked after a second, tilting is head. "I mean--I understand curiosity!" he insisted--and, certainly he did understand it, but his brother's voice was usually chastising him in the back of his mind whenever he was about to get into something dangerous. "But with all the weird things we see as Senshi--I'd think whatever rumors we get fed has got to be worth being at least a little cautious. Still, though."
He contemplated for a second and then rested his head on the chain and looked at her with a grin. "Have you heard anything interesting lately?"

Her eyes were bright as she glanced over at Caia. "Oh man, you'd be surprised how many rumors one can hear while at school. Or just listening to conversations at the grocery store." She kicked her feet a little, looking up towards the sky. "I've heard things from stars falling on top of people, shadows stealing jewelry, to demon beasts lurking in alleyways." The things people could come up with! But the fun part was debunking them. Figuring out which ones were real.
Seiryuu let her swing lazily slow as she offered a bashful smile. "Yeah... I've been in that situation before." She'd gotten in a little over her head with her first battle. "I know I've gotta be careful.... I guess I just enjoy being out here a little too much."
Which had been where most of her thoughts rolled around earlier. How does one convince others to be out doing something they may not enjoy as much? Yes, she was curious all the dang time. But there was so much to learn about being a senshi too!
His question surprised her and Seiryuu laughed a little. "Well, the latest one I've heard circulating was something about a demon-cat. Not much else besides that." Truthfully, the rumor mill seemed to have been quiet lately.

Caia cleared his throat. “…I know how many rumors go around at school.” He didn’t sound like he was a fan of the concept but he hadn’t attended a high school in a while. He didn’t spend enough time in public places where conversation happened to such a degree; most of his information came from online.
“I read some blogs and things. It seems like the news tries to keep a lot of the weird things out. A part of me,” he paused and twiddled his thumbs, “Well, a part of me sort of wants to go and investigate rumors or legends. But I’m also afraid of getting hurt. It’s complicated,” he sighed. “But it sounds fun. I don’t know if you have someone you want to patrol with, but…I don’t know, if you ever want company, keep me in the back of your mind? I’m supposed to be getting out more.”
He chewed on the inside of his list. “…Sort of set a goal for myself, but then also sort of have been, uhm. Avoiding it.”
