This wasn't the first time that Emika had tried to imbue. Sadly, that child hadn't lived due to the Hallowed curse. It was a sore spot in her life that she still had a really hard time dealing with. Every time she did think about it she felt tears in her eyes. She had wanted a child ever since she could remember, and up until now she hadn't had the ability to imbue a stone and watch the child grow. She had, however, adopted a beautiful Naga boy over the holidays that brought more joy to her than she could ever imagine, however, it didn't take away the fact that she had always wanted a house full of children.
So many in her life had told her that she would never be a mother. She had contracted an illness when she was a child that had taken away her ability to imbue. She had spent months in a hospital bed and when she got the news it was was one of the worst times in her life, though it would have never been worse than when she found out that the stone she had imbued had died. Nothing could take away the pain of a child dying way too young.
Since adopting Giedi, a part of Emika's heart had finally healed. The boy was energetic and fun to be around. Things weren't always easy, especially since the kid did have some abandonment issues, but then again, so did she. They did occasionally butt heads, but Emika wouldn't have it any other way. Giedi had taught her that it was okay to love again, it was okay to try again. He had given her the ability to allow herself the chance to bring a child into this world, and she knew she'd be forever grateful for that. There would be nothing that would ever replace her love for Giedi, and there was nothing that would ever replace her love for the child that didn't make it. However, she was finally willing to give her love to another child, a child that she imbued.
