It had taken for ******** EVER to catch wind of the senshi named Aegir. Xenotime had not been happy about it, but ********, she had been actually trying this time. It wasn’t Eros’s fault that she didn’t actually know that many white mooners. She’d had to run people down and ask, which had taken more time and effort than she would have liked. Some wanted reasons and she’d had to make up lies about it, like having been saved by him once and looking to thank him for it. Some had accepted that, others had given her looks, but eventually, FINALLY someone had tossed her a bone. Oh yeah, I know him. Curly haired blonde boy. You can probably find him over in the arts district, I think that’s where he patrols. It was the first nibble she’d gotten on her line and she hoped like hell it wasn’t a red herring. Eros did not want to keep doing testing how long Xenotime’s patience lasted. Downtown was filled with signatures of varying kinds, all spaced a fair distance from each other. She passed a few Nega ones before she caught the clear light of Order and honed in on it. The first had been a woman and not who she was looking for, but the second… She caught sight of him near the theatre and had picked up pace. He looked right… the blonde hair was distinctive, or at least a good sign. “Yo!” She called as she jumped from the roof she was on to land with a bit of a fumble on the next. She recovered with a jiggling step, a broad, self-deprecating smile on the super’s face. “Ah, Hey. You look like you know your way around things.” Something of a sheepish look settled onto her thin face and she ran her fingers through her brightly colored hair. “Got some time to maybe answer some n00bish questions for a girl?”

Aegir would have been sad to know that Eros had gone on quite the chase to try and contact him, since he tended to be a really friendly sort and liked being relatively easy to find. Accessible. Useful. When Eros called out to him, he was patrolling near the Avenue of the Stars and the night was chock full of energy signatures, the air veritably thrummed with it, so it wasn't surprising that someone would call for him. Which was why he turned to Eros with a ready smile. "Oh, Hi there!" Aegir bounced a little on the balls of his feet, kinetic energy keeping him moving even when he was trying to stand still to speak with the pretty gal with the rainbow hair and fuku. "I might, at that." He offered one gloved hand to Eros, chuckling a bit, "I'm Aegir and I'd be happy to answer any questions or help however I can."

The senshi was a taller man, taller than Eros by a good deal, and well built in a long sort of way. The fur across his shoulders and the puffed sleeves gave him a little bit of a top-heavy look, but it wasn't a bad effect. Hard to tell what his sphere was, unless it was some kinda animal, what with the fur and all. Definitely someone she'd happily bang, but wasn't that true of near everyone. He had nice eyes too. "Ah! Eros. That's me. Its nice to meet you." She said as she took his hand, smiling her most winning smile and trying to look new and helpless at the same time. Aegir. Perfect. Just the man she had been looking for. "I'm... not so new any more, I guess, but I feel like I've just been stumbling through all of this, you know? God knows why that cat upgraded me, but here I am!" She spread her hands, lifting and dropping a shoulder. "You part of a team or is it just you out here, fighting the good fight? We could, I dunno, maybe walk and talk, or find a place to sit?"

"Likewise, Eros." He saw no reason to be wary of the young woman and her brightly coloured hair, so his entire attitude was interested and fairly relaxed. She reminds me of someone...but I can't place it. Or maybe it's just the dyed hair...there are a lot of people with dyed hair around here...Aegir listened, nodding a bit; "It took me a few years to really get the feel of things, so don't think you're alone there." Eros wanted to know about his life as a senshi in a sort of exuberant, new puppy sort of way that he found endearing. "I do have a team, but we also patrol on our own...it's pretty lax, except for training." "Sure, there's a swing and some outside couches on top of the building attached to that theater. I've stopped to rest there once or twice." Was it perhaps stupid to bring someone to his workplace after hours and when powered up? Yeah, but Aegir - for all he'd learned and changed over the years - was still full of hope and the surety that all he spoke with were 'friendly' until proven otherwise.

She brightened at his suggestion and sidling up close, she looped her arm through his in an easy, guile-less motion. "Perfect! So... you've probably seen a lot of stuff go down, powered side, huh?" Eros said as she urged him forward with the gentlest of pressure. "Were you there when one of the subway trains turned into a youma? That was the one where I awakened. I had a cat grab me and give me a pen. I honestly thought I was tripping when I got home, till I found out my room mate had one of those pens too. Puck. Have you met him?" She felt like she was chattering, but at the same time, it did fit with the 'i'm new and helpless' vibe. Eager. That always screamed 'new'. Eros kept her hold light, friendly and comfortable, setting aside her usual flirtation for the moment. He seemed to respond well to it, if his return smile was any indication. "Has there been other things like... that? Places turning into youma, or youma popping out of places?"

As someone that appreciated physical contact and also someone that was prone to overt actions meant in a friendly nature, Aegir accepted Eros at his side with a pleased smile. Her hold on him made it much easier to escort her to the DCBC rooftop with it's covered space and outdoor furniture. "I have, yeah. This place can be really crazy, but I think that's because we've got a more visible war going on with the Negaverse here. I spent a year abroad and it was a lot quieter." He had no problems with allowing the beautiful rainbow hued senshi to take the lead and she was so nice, so easy to talk to! "I wasn't, but I heard about it. Must have been scary for you, to be awoken in the midst of all that chaos." Rapid-fire questions spoken with high energy and a bright, open smile; Aegir managed to answer them mostly in order without being overwhelmed because he had a lot of experience with such things in his civilian life. His Ballet Masters often barked out long strings of moves that the classes were meant to follow to perfection, so Eros' queries really weren't so bad. "Sadly, I don't know Puck. Which cat woke you, I might know them." She was thirsty for knowledge and information - Aegir could remember when he too had been like that, newly minted and wanting badly to know everything so he could operate more effectively. Granted, he was still like that, but with familiarity and time came a grace that allowed him to pursue answers more slowly. "Let's sit here, it'll be more comfortable." His favorite outdoor swing would hold the pair easily and still allow her to keep the contact she seemed inclined towards. Plus, he could swing them slowly, which was always pleasant. "Well, there have been a lot of weird things. There was a huge to-do at the old carnival. That's why it's closed now....and the time we all went into Negaspace and nearly died. I know there was a time when a lot of senshi and knights went into the Surrounding for some reason, but I wasn't there." "Oh! And once I was patrolling near the riverfront and there was a van where a nasty tentacled youma popped out. It smelled like rotting fish and swamp and was really unpleasant. I figure just about anywhere in Destiny City could end up being full of monsters." Was his answer helpful to Eros? Aegir couldn't be certain - she'd asked after places and things turning into or being overrun with youma, but mostly his encounters with the Rift borne monsters was in the company of their masters. Still, she was young and any information was good, right?

It was proving easier than she had expected, to engage him in conversation and draw out answers to her questions. He seemed to want to answer whatever she asked, so she kept on with it as they approached the seating and she folded her prominent knees and elbows frame into it. With a foot tucked under her, she let the other swing, a simple flex of her foot keeping her boot off the ground. "Ugh, Van youma. Not fun. The Negaverse pops up all over the place, it seems, and then just disappears back into the city." She said as she let a hand settle with comfortable familiarity on his thigh. "Has no one ever tried, like, pinning them down? I mean, if you got ahold of one, I bet you could get a lot of information out of them that'd be useful. You seen in movies all the time, people captured and, you know... other people getting information out of them. Though I guess that isn't really a fun thing to do. Who wants to be that guy? And it'd probably be hard with those higher ranks too... I've seen some teleport, and it isn't fun." Very not fun. Downright annoying, really, because then they were in range before she was able to babble out her credentials for them. Though, really, that didn't work all the time anyway. Xenotime better be a wise investment, because she was sick of getting jumped.

Aegir joined her, mirroring her position as well as his larger musculature would allow, one booted foot firmly on the rooftop to keep them moving in a slow, gentle rocking motion; he folded an arm across the back of the swing, hand resting toward the center as though he were reaching for her - but not quite - a further sign that he was comfortable being there with Eros. "Yeah, not in the slightest. It was really friendly in a bad-touch sort of way too. Super unfortunate." He did not feel like going into how the beast had molested his good friend, nor how when he'd rescued said friend the youma had done the same to him; no one needed details on that. It was irrelevant and the monster had been thoroughly dusted. "Gotta wonder if they maybe have a base or something in the city...or maybe like, meeting places. I know our side has a few safe spots, set up by individuals." Nothing set up on any 'official' basis, but then...they didn't have an overreaching leader the way the Negaverse seemed to, so it kind of made sense that they were less..organized and militant than those following Metallia. Did Eros know about the Primer? About the message board? There was so much information there - not all of it current, but still - plenty to start from if she was looking for basic information and even some of the very safe-houses he had spoken of. "Well, some have, I think. I don't know that a big effort's ever really been made on this side really...we know they basically all kind of end up in something called Negaspace? And that the youma come from the Rift...and there's a castle in Negaspace...and some barracks. That's about all I know, really. Information's pretty spare on that end, I don't think there's a big component of Order folks trying to buddy up to the Negaverse to get information. It's just too dangerous." Looking out at the cityscape behind Eros, Aegir worried his lower lip a moment; they had captured a number of officers and corrupted senshi once. It hadn't gone well. He couldn't help looking troubled momentarily, the fact that they'd managed to capture - and hold - members of the Negaverse wasn't a point of pride for Aegir, it was a point of shame. The things that had happened to some of them...the inhumane way many had been treated - it wasn't right. And although he himself had made rounds with water and food, it still hadn't been enough, because in the end...they had been no better than Metallia's own. "Well, actually...um, our side - I mean, I guess you could call it our side? Order folks? I mean, non-Negaverse folks? Have captured officers and corrupt senshi a couple of times that I'm aware of. Even managed to keep them from teleporting out. It didn't really go well though and in the end they were all rescued by their peers." Except for the ones you set free...and the one you carried out on your back. Don't forget him . You didn't just set him free, you carried him out and that monster even nodded to you like you were a good dog doing your job. Aegir shifted, clearly uncomfortable, but gave Eros a wan smile, "Nothing's ever easy when you're fighting other people. Comes down to it, they really are just other people, you know?"

The chair swayed and the smaller senshi relaxed into it, feigning surprise as she finally got him to admit he knew of times when officers had been captured. It was pretty obvious that he didn't like to talk about it, his eyes pinching and a line appearing between his brows. It was in his voice to, though she had trouble pinpointing it to shame, guilt or just distaste. Safe houses was an interesting concept she filed away for later. Quartz might like to know about that, and even better if she could weasel out a few to tell him about. All but one or two maybe, that she could keep for herself. You never knew when you'd need a free, safe place to crash, it was good to have that in your back pocket. Eros wrinkled her forehead as she pursed her lips, looking as though she was puzzling something out. "How did they keep them from teleporting? And like, how did they hide the auras? You'd have to hide those or like, someone would feel all those people in one spot and come poking their nose into it. Even just being one person out there draws attention, I can't imagine multiple. It'd be damn useful though, a way to solve both problems." Which was true, at least. Useful for both sides.

Aegir sat quietly for a moment, allowing Eros to process what he'd told her, and to formulate any questions she might have for him. She'd wanted information, it was important to allow her the freedom to explore those avenues, rather than just ramming an rather large info-dump - that she may not even remember most of later - down her throat all at once. "Mauvians. They can mask and block powered auras, and their technology is really impressive, not just the senshi phones and wands." The senshi of silence winked, his solemn air lifting slightly with the less painful topic of the felid aliens. "I don't know any of the specifics about the technology that made it happen, but I know Guardian Ash was heavily involved with the project that kept the officer's wings clipped." Mention of Ash softened Aegir's entire expression to something beyond simple fondness, here love shone through.

A cat did it? Eros's eyes widened as she stared at the other, her lips pursed in her surprise. The little fluff balls hadn't seemed all that impressive, beyond the being able to talk and turn into people thing, which was actually pretty trippy... but if they had the ability to restrain agents, hide signatures... that was damn useful, and she wondered that she hadn't really made friends with one before now. Oh, Quartz was going to like this info. She even had a name to give him, and a place to start. The small senshi smiled as Aegir's face softened and she shifted in her seat, leaning to press up against him as her hand found his thigh, gently stroking. "Hey, thanks for helping me out like this and stuff. I mean, you've probably got better things to do, but I really appreciate it." He deserved a reward, in her estimation, and more, a distraction from what he had told her. Let him think it was just curiosity. It would maybe help keep lines open in the future. Leaning in, Eros pressed a kiss to his jaw, just before his ear, leaving the faintest smudge of purple from the lipstick she still wore. "I'm pretty sure I need all the help I can get, honestly. This stuff is hard."

With such an open expression, it was almost as though Aegir could hear the other senshi's thoughts: a cat!? But not just any cat, a clever and beautiful guardian Mauvian - one responsible for so many amazing things above and beyond just being her. It seemed that despite having been awakened by a Mauvian, Eros' experiences with their feline counterpoints hadn't been as positive as his own. Granted, Aegir had in fact met a few Mauvian with less than stellar attitudes to recommend them, generally they were more impressive than her shocked countenance suggested she'd observed first-hand.
He couldn't help the short laugh that came up and out, "Like I said, the Mauvians are actually really amazing. I don't know which one woke your powers, but...they have a lot of abilities that help us out."
Eros was moving closer, crowding into his personal space so that he could feel the warmth of her body all along one side; her hand on his thigh was a burning brand paired with her suggestive tone. Aegir knew when moves were being pulled on someone, he knew the signs of seduction because he'd used them often enough in the past on others himself. But why? A voice in the back of his mind, low and sounding irritatingly similar to Quenton, warned him: She's up to something. This is a distraction. Be wary, don't trust it.
Her lips found his jaw. Oh come on, not everyone is out to d**k us over. Oh my god I'm arguing with myself. This is stupid. We're not doing this--I'm not doing this. No. He smiled and put a hand over hers on his thigh, smoothly taking it up so that he could press a kiss to the inside of her palm while looking up at her through thick blond lashes. "I'm sure you're more than capable, Eros."
"Of course, I'm happy to help."

The little senshi laughed when he kissed her palm, drinking in the warmth of skin on skin. Her expression went heavy lidded and relaxed, her shifts and movements more fluid than before. Her breath was just a little more shallow and she took advantage of her full lashes to shadow her eyes. "I have other things you could help with." She said, warm-throated and inviting. "I mean, more than just senshi things. Life isn't all about uniforms and duty. Sometimes its nice to just have a little fun." The offer had to be made, because who would she be if she didn't. There was a lot to be appreciated about the blonde senshi, and the hand she'd put on him gave a delightful preview of the muscle under the soft fabric. Him being a senshi meant she wouldn't have to worry so much about accidentally leaking her identity to him, or getting chest punched in the middle of the fun when she'd let down her guard. She could forgive him for lacking the spice of danger, for that. Getting a little action would be the perfect way to cap off what she considered a very successful mission.
