
The list of doubts wound on and on. Still, the grimm knew that the stone banks were terribly careful and did all sorts of checks. It wasn’t like they were just going to go LOLSTONES4U without bothering to find out more about the folks coming in. So why was she so worried? Maybe it was simply all the new and strange things that had happened. Yes, that sounded about right. She wanted to feel stable. But changes happened all the time and not every change was for the bad, she reminded herself. No, she was being silly and over-thinking things.
Laughing a little at herself, Solana found a spot where she’d be out of the way of others going into the stone bank. She wanted a moment to relax. Once her nerves felt a little steadier, she squared her shoulders and marched towards those imposing, terrifying doors. Upon reaching them, her hand shot out to grasp the handle and pull the door open.
Slipping inside, she visibly relaxed as the last hurdle was overcome. Glancing around, she went to a helpful desk nearby and smiled at the nightmare sitting behind it.
