She had been hoping the handsome man she had once met, and had begun to fall for, would come find her. She had been hoping this for so long, and it hadn't happened. Anleth stood on the edge of the ocean she lived within, feeling the waves lapping at her feet, a small basket of her pearl harvest hanging from her right hand. She had come to shore to trade the pearls in the nearby city, hoping to get her hands on some goods she was never able to find in her aquatic home. Worked Metal goods, for instance, weren't something she found down there, very often. It was, after all, VERY hard to get the metals hot enough to shape, let alone if one wanted to melt it for molding work. She was proud of her skills as a pearl harvester, and had a VERY comfortable home. She'd been saving and building this house ever since she'd met him. Now, though, she wondered if he'd ever come find her, like he had said he would. She was tired of living in her wonderful home alone, and had even begun to think that, perhaps, she shouldn't wait for him. Instead, perhaps she should find a way to fill her home with love and happiness, and family, without him. If he ever did come, and could not handle that she had brought children into her life, then it would prove he did not love her, or want her, the way he claimed. She sighed a little, but stepped onto the dry sand. It was time to go arrange for a stone, so that she could fill her heart with the love of a child, even if her handsome prince never came.
