Things he didn't want to think about, actually. He really did not feel he could handle thinking about that, right now. He wasn't normally prone to losing control of his emotions, the which often convinced his therapist that he was suppressing his feelings and memories too much. However, right now, in this gloom that the rain brought upon his world, he knew all too well that he might fall prey to the past, and he would not be able to contact anyone for help if it overwhelmed him.
He turned, suddenly and sharply, away from the view, and strode out of his room, and into the main part of his small house. Ever since he'd been released from the facility his rescuers had taken him to, he'd lived here. He made a decent income, and was comfortable, but... His life was dark with loneliness. He needed something bright to bring him joy. He sighed, and headed to the mantle, which held the one photo he had from the very short time in his life... Before... when he'd had family, even if it was unconventional. He touched the face of the other hallowed child in the photo, his eyes filled with grief at the memories of then and the... Times between Before and Now.
Suddenly his hand dropped, as an idea struck him. He could solve his loneliness, and his desire for family quite easily! He could imbue a stone, and have a child. He didn't have a partner, perhaps, to imbue with, but he had a home, and a heart that was wide open, and ready to show love to an innocent. He could see about a partially imbued stone. With this, his heart grew lighter, and joy spread into it, for surely, surely he could begin to reclaim some happiness. This was the right choice.
