General Advice ▶ Most trainers in the show(s) start out knowing next to nothing about Pokémon and the world they live in. You do not have to know anything about Pokémon to play. Your handy Pokédex will do all the work of telling you about any/all Pokémon, shops, competitions, other trainers, and the world in general. Think of it as Google. Even if you only know Pikachu and nothing beyond that, we've got you covered. You can still play with ease! ▶ There is a lot of information about various things: pokéballs, shops, battle, etc. The best thing to do is to read each section as you need it rather than all at once. Unless you're bored. ▶ The world is loosely based on the Pokémon series. An entirely new region has been created and pushed into the near future (to allow technology to advance for entertainment sake). If you are familiar with the Pokémon world, feel free to be from any region in the series rather than somewhere in the region created from this RP.
Gameplay Advice ▶ You do not need a specific Pokéball to catch certain Pokémon. Any Pokémon can be caught with any ball, but with varying success rates. It all depends on the Pokémon's personality and how low their HP (hit points/health) is. ▶ You may only have up to six Pokémon in your team at a time. So what happens if you catch one when you already have a full team? Simply open your Pokédex, select transfer on a Pokémon you want to give up, scan the Pokéball, and it will seal. The next time you encounter a lab or PokéCenter, you can transfer your Pokémon - either Home (only if there is someone there to care for it), another lab, storage, training facility, daycare (short term, up to two weeks), breeding center, or your Secret Base (only if there is someone there to care for it).
