Being stuck inside the knight's quarters was not the most desirable place to be in the world, but it was where he was at. It wasn't like he had a choice, anyway, because the entire kingdom - or, rather, those who were still alive - were within the walls, as well, stuck right alongside him. The idea of even being near so many people made him nervous, wondering if he was going to be remembered for what had happened when he was a teenager. Did he know anybody here? Did he recognize anyone? Was there a possibility they recognized him? So far, so good, as nobody had given him a second glance or had called him out. Even if they did, would they know who he was or what he'd done? Osiris gritted his teeth, his jaw clenching at the mere thought of what could happen now that he was around so many people. Even as he slowly moved through groups of people here and there, trying not to get too close or be recognized, he was still growing more and more anxious the longer he stayed near so many people.

Eventually, he managed to get away from the crowd, sighing a breath of relief. It was a close call, it seemed, but then again, maybe it wasn't. For now, he was physically and mentally safe. Nobody recognized him, and now he wasn't even around anyone to be recognized anyway. His pace quickened slightly since he was no longer near bundles of people, and he moved toward the stables. He thought maybe, just maybe, he would be safer over there, rather than around this giant group. Not only would it lessen his chance of confrontation, but it would also likely be safer for his ability to stay alive if he were not around so many people. The Forsaken were likely to go to larger groups of people, right? They were probably more attracted to noise and sound. Then again, Osiris knew nothing about them, and only that they were gruesome and ready to kill. He'd come close to confronting one not long ago, but that time had passed, and he was safe now. Maybe even safer since he was alone.

By the time he had arrived at the stables - or near them - he heard voices. They caused him to pause in his movement, his eyes darting around the area to try and find the source. Coming around the corner slowly, Osiris' eyes landed on the two people near the well. Neither of them he recognized, which was a good thing, as they were less likely to know him. But even still, he was cautious. He watched the boy help the woman out, picking up soot into the bag and then eventually dragging her over to the well, where he was now struggling to bring the bucket up. Being who he was, Osiris had every intention of helping, but was hesitant on coming fully around the corner. What if they did know him? What if he had to deal with the same things he had dealt with in the past? The kingdom was large, so clearly not everyone knew what had happened all those years ago. But being the son of a noble family... well, plenty of people had the opportunity to find out the information.

With the bit of hesitation, Osiris finally convinced himself to move forward around the corner, and make his way over to the pair. As he approached the well, he stopped a bit in his step, pausing for a moment as he spoke out. "Do you... need help with that?" he asked, glancing off to the side. Without even waiting for an answer, though, Osiris moved forward and put his hand on the empty part of the handle and began to move the lever around in order to help the boy. With the both of them working at it, the bucket began to raise from the well, eventually coming to the top. Once it was there, Osiris let go of the handle and stepped back some. "Sorry," he said, glancing to the side again, almost as if he were timid instead of nervous, "It just seemed like you needed help."
