"I warned you that the priests were not to be trust... Farewell my friend." Were the words that Leoman spoke. Nisha's vision will also tell her that the Lifeless were steadily winning the battle and that the priests were escaping through a hidden passage. And then it was black.

Leoman never heard the boy's cry for help, his voice was hidden by the screams of death and fear in the trialroom. It was a much longer drop to the bottom than it looked and when Shun and Hotep finally made it to the bottom it was with a sickening thud. Shun had landed on top of Hotep before rolling onto solid stone, the unconscious body of Nisha laid not that far away. It would only require a soft touch or sound to rouse her.
All around them was burning hot coals, steam rising all around from the water that continuously poured onto it. Following the stone floor was an entrance to a tunnel, candles lit the path with a soft light. It would be moments before either of them realized the squelching sound that was coming to the side of them... Hotep's head had fallen into the coals, his body spasming causing him to slide deeper into the coals. The rancid smell of burning flesh would fill the area.

Once they had landed and Shun was sat upon solid stone, he kneaded his fingers into the stone as he gazed around at his surroundings. He could see everything fairly perfectly even with the semi-lit area they had been in. Blue eyes traveled from the body of Nisha over to where the head and body of Hotep now lie. He did not seem phased by what had happened to the man, but deep down he had wished there had been some way to save him as he might have had information pertenant to his goals. "Your sacrifice will be remembered." He shrugged his shoulders and immediately coughed at the smell of burning flesh, gagging just slightly at how overwhelming the smell had become. His enhanced senses made the rancid burning flesh that much more empowering to the point he almost vomited. Shun had smelled burning flesh before due to his training while growing up, but he had never thought the smell would have been this bad through his enhanced senses. Slowly the male crawled over to Nisha, turning her over as he gave her a better look than he had previously. "She's cuter than I first thought." The smell immediately broke him from those thoughts as he lightly shook her. "Nisha! Nisha! Wake up! We have to move!"

As she fell Nisha was able to protect herself a least a little from the damage she was about to receive once she hit the bottom of the shaft, it was still going to hurt and the heat would still get to her, but at least it would a little reduced, crashing into the ground below Nisha coat absorb a lot of the impact but it still knocked the wind out of her and caused her to pass out, luckily it seemed the momentum from the leap had carried her from landing on the coals and landed on a area next to them. With darkness taking her, Nisha was able to process the information she had been able to gain while in the trail room, without all the details, she couldn't really put the picture together fully, but the picture she had at the moment went, Leoman was captured, she wasn't sure if he had let it happen, or planned it to create the opening he had, or if it was just good timing, at least one of the priest had betrayed the main order and taking the Lifeless in order to attack the high ranked people assembled due to the trail to kill a bunch of high ranking members of the order all at once, the people being brought in the night before didn't fit when added, something must have happened and the Order went overboard in response to it, due to Leomans capture in some part. ~ Feeling her body being moved Nisha began to wake, her senses returning to her as she woke, as they returned fully the first thing was the small of burning flesh so that was unpleasant causing her to retch a little as she woke opening her eyes, looking up at Shun who was sitting over her and signed a little as she sat up. "Why Nii Nii?". Nisha said trying to break the tension as she got up and looked around the room, retching another time as she had nothing in her stomach to throw up due to the smell, burning coals to one side with Hotep's body near them slowly falling into the coals, his head had been submerged into the coal and he had clearly taken most of the damage from the fall, his was near the solid section, enough so that Shun could have rolled off him onto the solid section they were on and still be up and moving, a path leading off from the path they were on. Nisha jumped up and looked at Shun as she rushed over to Hotep and grabbed his foot pulling him onto the platform they were on, with the water falling around in the area it wasn't too hot, but it was only a matter of time before it would be too much. "Help me pull him onto the platform and out of the coals, if he isn't dead he will be heavily injured and unconscious like I was, and if he is dead we need to look over his body". Nisha said pulling on Hotep's body with all her might, her body arched from different part of her body bruised and sore from the fall, and resisting her urge to throw up, dirt retching every now and then, using 'Wall Walking' on the ground so as to not be pulled in, and to planted herself so she could use the ground as leverage to pull Hotep up.

Hotep is very much dead when you pull him out of the coals. His head is unrecognizable beneath all the damage it suffered, it oozes with a repugnant liquid.
You can hear the death wails above you coming to the end and in it's stead the sound of metal being slid on stone.

Shun placed a hand on her shoulder once Hotep was pulled from the coils; he knew the man was dead on impact and if not then the coils would have finished him off for sure. He unbuttoned his jacket and pulled it off of his being, laying it over the man to cover his disfigured face.. "Thank you... may your soul find peace." He closed his eyes and brought his hands together, saying a prayer to himself. Shun never considered himself a religious person, but he always respected other's religions and their teachings. Shun knelt down beside him, pulling a secondary senbon out from his other boot and flipped it between his fingers before placing it behind his ear. "Let's scrounge him for any goods... armor, weapons, papers... anything we can use... I do not know where we are and anything at this point could prove useful... I will cover him with my coat.. Keep an eye out." He began to search the body of Hotep, checking for any items he might have had on him. "I am sure by now that we have both most likely come to the same conclusion... we are both shinobi.."Immediately he knew that he may have to try to manipulate her or dance around the truth. He could be honest with her but he was not entirely sure how well that would go. This was especially true if she were from a village with a mission opposite of his. As his hands glided around the man, carefully checking his body while he removed any other remaining items he had. "I was sent here by Konohagakure on a secret mission specifically from the Hokage and the Fire Daimyo... I am originally from Kirigakure.. as a sleeper agent for Konoha... I was recently activated specifically for this mission - to procure some of the alloy mined here for study."Shun carefully unclasped the cape and laid it out beside Hotep on the stone itself as he began to unlatch the various belts that held the armor to the man's body. "Once my mission is completed, I will be returning to the Land of Water." Shun ignored the helmet that had effectively fused with the head of the man from the coils and worked his way down until the man only remained in his small clothes. He had gathered the armor up, tossing anything he personally wouldn't use and folded the cape around the armor like a bag with a knot tied from the ends. The only thing he equipped to himself were both gauntlets that felt a little large in his hands, but he rigged it to make them fit well enough. He would not take the time to see if the remaining armor fit as he figured it wouldn't. Hotep was an adult in all of this while he was still a boy, albeit in his teens. If he managed to leave with this armor, he could most likely have it smelted and retrofitted to his own specifications once he returned home. He carefully laid his coat over the upper half of Hotep, specifically covering his face. Shun looked over to Nisha and motioned with his down toward the path lit by candles, lifting up the makeshift bag filled with armor. "We best start moving... figure out where we are exactly."

Nisha retch again as she saw how Hotep had ended up, she was thankful a little that she had an empty stomach, and the smell was still absolutely horrible, the worst thing to her though was that she was getting used to it, as Shun spoke up Nisha shook her head. "Don't bother we're going to push him back into the coals to cremate him, so it is better to keep your stuff clean". Nisha said as she looked up hearing the sounds of metal scarping along the ground from above, and then formed some hand seals and activated her byakugan again to look up and see what was happening, also allowing her to see further into the tunnel that the two of them would have to take in order to get away from the coals and steam, and was the only way they could go. As she scanned the area and looking though the walls and ceiling to see things that she normally wouldn't be able too, while active the veins under her eyes bulge and her pupil and iris turning white, it was clear the Nisha was a descendant of the Hyuuga but due to her eyes having colour when not being used also showed she wasn't a member of the main clan, she took a moment to check over Hotep, she went over his armour to see had it was effecting him, checking though it to see where he was keeping things telling Shun in order to help him get Hotep's equipment, and then even checked his Tenketsu to how his training had changed his body, even seeing though into his organs seeing all the trauma from the fall. 'His story seems a little off, also he seems to be telling me too much if it is true'. Nisha looked at Shun as he introduced himself as a member of Konohakure but was from Kirigakure, it seem a bit too open and was alarming her a little, she didn't know everything in the village as such his story maybe true so she took note of it and smiled nodding with his story, and then bows to him. "Nice to meet you Shun?, I am Nisha Azuma a recon Iwa ninja, we have had some diplomatic issues with the seven cities as of late due to the rebel faction". Nisha said leaving a question on his name for him to fill with his last name, using the mission information she had been given to choose 'her' village. With Hotep's things removed Nisha got Shun to help her pushed Hotep back into the coals, pushing him into them more so as to cremate his body as is the tradition way in the world. "May the Seven take you". Nisha said softly before the two of them moved into the tunnel further, as they distances themselves from the burning, finally able to talk again the two of them looked at one another. "We should have switched the story to lovers Nii Nii, also not getting each others names was also an issue". Nisha said with a bright smile as she looked him, poking her tongue a little as she said Nii Nii teasing him a little, it was clear she was likely not going to stop calling him that. As they were walking Nisha looked at the equipment from Hotep, checking to see if she had anything she could use, using her enhanced senses to check the area around them, every now and then she would take a moment to focus and scanning the area in greater detail after focusing. "Once we get a moment where we are safer and can rest I will seal the equipment into some seals so we don't need to carry it or keep us from using stealth going forward". She said as they walked into the tunnel.

Kurosu Daiku The armor gathered from Hotep is very damaged, it'll require serious repairing. When Nisha looked to the movement above them, she would find it hard to discern what was going on. There would be a darkness that cloaks the room causing most of what she sought to be blocked out. However she could see several people approaching the rim of the pit... and then the bodies began falling into the pit, crashing into the pool of coals spraying burning bits in every direction. The lifeless from above were disposing of all the dead bodies...
The cave path is lit by small burning candles that lay along both sides of the path. After a while the path will begin to descend before splitting into two separate paths. One continues it's descent and is longer lit, the darkness seeming almost tangible. The other continues to be lit and ascends to what seems to be higher ground.

Shun kicked Hotep's corpse back into the burning coals, knowing they would take care of the cremation process and also fill the pit with the pungent odor again. He looked over to Nisha for a moment now that his eyes had adjusted to the low light of the area they were in, granting him vision in the darkened areas of the pit. He could see the veins pulsing and bulging around her eyes and he seemed intrigued. Hyuga... she is most likely from Leaf then... He thought to himself before distancing the thought, knowing that he would rather work with her than against her at this point. They were in this together in some sense of the phrase. "Shun Ishikawa... it is a pleasure to meet you Nisha Azuma... you're right, lovers would have been much better... but ah well.. perhaps in another life." He exchanged a momentarily wink and a smirk over to her before he began to focus when he heard movement above them. The male gazed up when Nisha did, focusing on the darkness in order to see properly. He would watch bodies fall down into the burning coals and spray them in all manner of direction. "s**t, let's go!"Shun grabbed Nisha by the hand, pulling her down the lit path as they followed the candles. Several yards away from the pit itself he slowed their pace down and released her hand, starting to feel up the walls for any possible switches that might open up a secondary area or not. When they had reached the split pathway, Shun set he bag down and looked over to Nisha. "Could you bind these like you had said... I'll try to find out the best way for us to go."He unclasped one of the damaged gauntlets from his arms and added it to the pile before stepping forward. He punched a hand into his fist and closed his eyes, stopping at the middle point where each path broke. Shun began to focus, drawing on his Inuzuka blood as he began to sniff the air and separate the smells coming down each path. His eyes opened for a long moment as he peered down the tunnel, wolf-like eyes peered into the darkness in order to ascertain what might be below. He would not move without some measure of certainty, even though he was drawn into the darkness. Part of him wondered if that would be the path that could lead him to where he needed to go, but he also came to an idea that if it did it would be a lit path as opposed to a darkened path. He wanted to figure out from the smells coming down each one, what each might have in order to make the best use of his time.

Shun will smell the rotting scent of death coming from the lit path. Other scents would mingle with it but be overpowered by the overwhelming scent of rot. The unlit path however would carry the scent of stagnant air...

After bidding farewell to Hotep a man Nisha didn't even know the name of the two of them ensured that his body was in the coals before moving away, Nisha said lightly as the scarping sound grew louder point out that the Lifeless in all likelihood were pushing the bodies into the pit, in order to dispose of the bodies. "Lets get moving so we won't have to smell this for much longer, also it looks like the fight is over and are dumping the bodies". Nisha said as she moved away gagging a little more as she dealt with the smell of burning flesh, she wanted to check if any of the bodies had equipment but it wasn't worth it. Nisha's free use of her Byakugan would have given her away as a ninja from the Leaf in the past, and even now people still placed most of the clan members in the Leaf village, however with the fact that in the past few year a breaches had popped up in the other villages after the grand wars of the past the Hyuuga was more spread then before, even the other notable clans of the Leaf village had spread too and even reborn in the case of the Uchiha, so Nisha felt comfortable with using her eyes thinking they wouldn't expose her immediately, using it she scan the area ahead of them and even behind to ensure no one was following them from the coal pit. "Oh really another life and not this one?". Nisha said with a smile as she flirts with Shun a little trying to take her mind of the smell and keep herself from throwing up, as the two of them hold hands while walking together as the travel getting further from the smell and then got to a fork in the road, taking sometime to look down each detection with her enhance sight, before nodding to Shun then she moved her hand and brushed his hair back a little taking the Senbon behind his ear. "I am going to borrow this for a moment". With a smile she kneed down and looking over the equipment, as she unrolled the cape and lay it flat placing all the equipment that they had gathers in a pile in the center, without ink Nisha used the needle to p***k her finger and then used the chakra infused blood to write out a sealing circle around the equipment on the cape, and then seals the equipment into the cape which she folded it and put around her waist like a belt to hide it a little if they encountered anyone, as she got up and handed the Senbon back to Shun. As they looked at the paths Nisha took a deep breath while yawning trying to recover a little from the tiredness that was still present, and resting a little to focus her chakra and recover from both the chakra used on her byakugan and also to heal a little from the little about of blood she had used for the seal. "So which way would you like to go?". Nisha said casing her sight as far down both paths in order to check them out again this time with time to search them, and checking into the area feeling if anyone was there or felt any energy from the paths.

He focused steadily as the scents filtered through his nostrils and into his lungs, he did his best to ignore the rotting scent of death that came from the lit path. The smell of burning flesh had gotten him somewhat used to it as he powered through, catching hints of other scents masked by the decay he had smelled previously. Shun opened his eyes and gazed down the darkened path, having caught the stagnant smell of of the air coming from it. He turned back over to Nisha, eyeing the cape that was wrapped around her waist and smirked just a little. "Perhaps in this one, maybe in every life we meet." He stretched his arms out, flexing his muscles in a way to get some blood to run through them. His body was slightly sore, but he did not feel as tired as Nisha looked. "If we follow the lit path... we most likely will find corpses... I smelled a lot of rotting flesh... but there other things... it was just hard to pick them out.... the darkened path seems to be the best bet to find what I'm looking for."He took the Senbon back from her when she handed it back to him, placing it behind his ear once more. "The air down there is stagnant... not a lot of air movement or precipitation... something could be polluting the air... if they are refining the ore, it is most likely down there... shall we?" He carefully offered a hand out to Nisha with the most positive smile he could must in their dire situation before the two ventured down into the darkened tunnel.

As Nisha and Shun descend into the dark tunnel, Nisha will notice the light from the candles behind them will begin to fading to a soft gray before finally going out. Everything around her will be pitch black leaving it impossible for her to tell which way is which as her eyesight becomes lost to her. The feeling of Shun's hand is there but she can not see his hand, let alone her own...

Nisha takes a moment while Shun was flexing and warming up, she did some stretches to loosen her body up as they prepared to move forward, and looked at Shun as her spoke about his thoughts on the two paths, Nisha taking in the smells of the cave and not noticing the rotting smell, noted that Shun had a much better nose then she did. "Well then I guess the dark path it is then, from what I can tell both paths are clear as far as I can see". Nisha said as she used her senses to study the paths a little more before they headed off. 'Both paths are weird, one is 'nothing', and the other has some weird swirling 'chakra' mist that blocked her vision'. She had a questions on both side as it left a weird sensation in her but she left it for the moment, and went on to ask. "So what are you looking for?, so I know what to look out for, as to my mission was to get information and report it back for the village to deal with, as I am not really a fighter". Nisha said laughing a little as she revealed herself a little to him. Taking Shun's hand and walking with him as they walked they way doing into the darkness, she held his hand lightly as they started but the further into darkness she gripped it tighter as they moved, after a little walk into the darkness something happened that never happened before for Nisha, true darkness. 'I'm blind'. Nisha thought for a moment as she stared into the darkness and it stared back at her, she pulled herself into Shun fully without thinking. "This isn't right, this isn't normal". Nisha said to Shun as she held herself closer to him, hugging his arms as she panics slightly, using him to anchour herself to something and relaxing knowing he was there, her other hand feeling for the walls. "This isn't normal darkness, I am blind". Nisha said disbelief in her voice as she voiced words that she never though she would speak, words that had never even entered her mind. The concept so alien to her part of her mind broke trying to process this turn of events that destroyed everything she knew, she knew there were things she couldn't see though barriers and high amounts of chakra were the easy ones to note, Genjutsu could do this type of effect but as a ninja and a Hyuuga member the first thing she had tried from to break it with her will, but even failing she would at gain insight as to if she was under the effects of Genjutsu, but nothing only darkness. 'IThis is not a thing, how can this be, it will pass, it has to, it will, I can't be blind that can't happen and even it is does I will 'see' anyway'. Nisha mind ran as she progressed with Shun, Nisha was able to remain calm at the moment, taking her time holding Shun to steady herself she would shake every now and then though showing her lack of comfort. "Just make it forward and it will be alright". Nisha said in part to reassure herself, as they moved. ssAntonio I am assuming it isn't a Genjutsu Rolls: 9[Move] and 4[Double Move] Distance gained: 18

"I was sent in to find a metal alloy that is said to be refined here... gather information on the happenings in the city and procure any possible tools or treasures that might be useful." He yawned just a little and turned back to look over to Nisha, noticing how dark the cave seemed to be. He tightened his grip onto her hand as they descended further into the darkness. "I've been bred as an assassin since birth... taught how to kill in over one thousand different ways... without thought or feeling to it at all." His voice was rather deadpan as he spoke, but his tone was filled with a confidence he was not normally used to displaying. He was not necessarily lying to her either, he had been taught how to kill as well as how to extract information out of people quickly and efficiently. He felt her grip tighten on his hand the further they decended, At first he had thought she was just afraid of the dark, but it was when she brought herself closer against him and held onto his arms that he knew something was wrong. He stopped for a moment and shifted himself to her, looking down at the female. He could hardly make her out in the darkness when he got an idea. He freed one of his arms from her grasp and focused for a moment, converting his chakra into a low amount of lightning that converged on the hand. His other arm had wrapped itself around the female in a comforting manner, looking down at her while they walked. "Hmm.. we will move a little carefully, but we need to step up our pace.. I hear something coming behind us... barely.. but it is there."He was about to resume their journey when he noticed the veins pulsing around her eyes. Hyuga.... Byakugan... He began to wonder about something when he lightly placed a kiss to her forhead. "Turn off your Byakugan... it might help... if it doesn't... you will be fine. I've got you." Shun said with a soft, comforting voice before he took hold of her and the two continued forward while utilizing the lightning flowing through his hand to provide light for himself, which allowed him to see further into the darkness a little better.
