Hansel and Gretel had known each other for years, since elementary to be precise. They knew practically everything about one another, they went to the same college for their undergrad but from grad schools it looked like they would finally be separated. Their last summer before graduation they take a road trip across country just to hang out for a long time since it would probably be one of the last times. They would still keep in touch 18 years being best friends wouldn't be ruined by being separated. They didn't really have a plan on where to go all they knew was they were going all the way across country just going wherever and stopping wherever. Then they decide to get off the main road and go off a side road thinking it would be a scenic route. They were wrong. When they got into an accident they had no idea where they were and no cell reception to get a hold of someone.

Micheal walked into his room back home and smiled to himself. Today was the day him and his best friend were going on a car trip all the way across the states and back with no directions or plans. It wasn't the first time they had done something like this. After high school graduation the two took off for a week and just traveled in their car around their state. So no one was really worried about the two taking off. They had known each other since 1st grade and had been friends since so it wasn't like any big fight would happen. They were graduating from college in a year and this was their last summer before they went to separate schools so they had to take full advantage of this summer. And a cross country road trip was just the way to do it. Making sure he had everything he needed along with some snacks and drinks he loaded up his car and sent _____ a quick text. "Just loaded up the car I'll be there soon." putting his phone on the drivers seat he went to say bye to his family before leaving to pick up his best friend.

Sandra was in her room, putting away the last of her things into her suitcase and heard her phone go off a bit. She picked her phone and read the message. She smiled and texted back a reply. "Okay. I'll wait for you outside." She put her phone away and made sure to have everything necessary before going down with her suitcase. She said her good byes to her family and took her stuff outside before going back inside to wait. She got herself a small snack to eat before they went off on their trip and made sure she had enough in her wallet to last the trip.

Pulling up outside Sandra's house he saw he suitcase outside and put that in the car for her. Since he was driving she was going to be telling him what exits to take and any of that. Eventually they would get across country but they would do it their own way. Your bag is in the jeep he sent to her. Standing outside the car he looked around they would't be back here for a while and were supposed to contact their families every three or four days so they knew everything was going okay. Waving as he saw his childhood friend "You ready to get out of here for a while?" he asked.
