Kitty was having no luck finding the Royal Family, nor even a decent lady's maid. There were only teenagers here. Most of them smelly boys or scruffy girls. Kitty disliked them all. She had no time for peers, especially those without social graces or even the decency to bow to her. Not a shred of respect for a kidnapped Princess such as herself.

But now, she was hungry, and she'd put off eating for days if only because no one had come to her chambers with delicacies on a silver platter. Not even afternoon tea and cakes! This was the worst sort of world to wake up in. Maybe this was a villain's lair, after all; not a royal palace at all.

And here she'd thought she'd been transported into a fantasy realm where she would be taken in as Princess. Or perhaps she'd been born here, and had been accidentally whisked away to filthy Hamilton, a lost princess destined to return one day.

Weak in body and spirit, Kitty tip toed into the cafeteria. There were many teens here and there, but the delightful smell of sweet pancakes was wafting from the kitchens.

Dressed in her frilliest nightgown, Kitty tentatively made her way toward one commanding presence. A beautiful woman with blazing red hair. She had to be someone of great importance. Perhaps.. even the Queen?

Kitty cleared her throat once she was close enough, trying to lift her chin in a dignified pride. "Pardon me, but are you perhaps the Queen?" If not the queen, then maybe a maid. Either would do right now.

Cooking was not, and never had been, Caroline's strongest point. When things were ideal, she liked to be treated like a queen, even if she wasn't one - that meant not doing any of anything that she'd been doing throughout the past week, but the roles of modern royalty and motherhood didn't overlap very neatly.

Pancakes weren't too difficult, and eggs were even easier, so she succeeded in giving the kids on the island at least one good breakfast. Her efforts for the rest of the week were a little more scattered in their effectiveness; trying to feed over a hundred teenagers with no planning was an insane task, which was exactly why she had to do it. No one else would have, not to this extent.

Having finished all of the cooking and the cleanup, Caroline stood with her hands on her hips to look out over the cafeteria, a smile creeping across her face at the sight of the kids all eating. She didn't know why the knowledge that they were eating well made her feel so happy, but it did.

This was where she was standing when she was approached by a girl in the most adorable nightgown, who asked the most wonderful of questions.

"Why, yes," she responded, chin tipping upward as she stood with a greater sense of pride. "Queen Caroline of the Nine Kingdoms. And who are you? Princess? Duchess? Lady? Come for the feast?"

Kitty seemed to stand even taller, finally being treated like the royalty she was, and even finding the company of a Queen. "Oh wonderful. It's been dreadful here without proper servants around. And no one would tell me where the royal family was staying. I was beginning to think I'd been transported into an evil lair."

With careful movements, she fixed her hair over her shoulder. "Princess, thank you. Princess Kitty of.. Hamilton." She nodded. "I seemed to have been taken here without prior warning, and was not given much instruction."

"But now that I have found you, all is well again. Ah, but I digress. I'm indeed here for my morning meal. I haven't more than a bite to eat since I arrived, and I'm feeling terribly faint, you see."

Ah but the small girl could run her mouth, despite her supposed fatigue.
