Meliae was still nibbling on her treats from the Hunter's Jubilee event. She loved these events so much and she knew it wouldn't be long until she could possibly attend them with a significant other, or so she hoped. She knew she was still rather young to be thinking about love, but her parents had met when they were her age and she couldn't help but wonder if she had already met her possible mate, even though she knew it was silly to think about. She had a lot of time to think about that stuff later.
For now, Meliae was pretty happy with her life. She had met all kinds of people since coming to the Below and she had hoped she had even made a lot of friendships. She couldn't wait to move on to being a Junior and being able to meet even more people! She loved making friends and couldn't wait until she was old enough to go out on her own and do things with other friends without needing a chaperone.
All things aside, Meliae's passion definitely was music. Both of her mothers had some musical talent, and that was something that had definitely been passed down to her. She remembered her mother singing to her constantly when she still lived with them, and she still did so even when they talked on the phone. It was her fondest memories of home and her family and every time she sung she could feel her parents there with her. She hoped more than anything that she could make a career out of it, it was her number one dream in life. She loved seeing people's faces when a girl as young as she was had such a powerful voice, it was exhilarating.
Even though her passion had started with her mother, she couldn't help but feel it was her own drive to take it further. She wanted to surpass her own mother's talent and become one of the most well known singers out there. Not that she thought that would be easy at all, her mother was one of the best singers there were, and if anyone questioned that she'd inform them thusly. She knew it would be a long and rough road, but she knew she could do it! She didn't care what it took, she'd prove to everyone just how good she was and she'd make her mothers proud!
Meliae hummed to herself as the chain of thoughts finally came to a halt. She was going to visit her mothers over the summer, if she could. She couldn't wait to see their smiling faces again and to catch up on things she had missed out on. It wasn't that she didn't love being at the Academy, she most certainly did, but there was a place in her heart for her mothers that no one else could replace. She owed them everything and loved them more than she could express. She knew they'd be just as happy to see her.
