Yawning heavily he rolled over, stretching as he did so. It had been a long, hot day and the male wasn't much for either heat, or the daytime. Yawning again he cracked one eye open as his muscular body rolled onto its side. It was night time, as was evident by the stars flashing over head. Satisfied with the state of the world, the punk rolled to his feet and stretched again before lifting his head to look around. As was typical, he was alone. He had been a rogue all his life, living as he pleased, doing whatever he wanted when he wanted to do it. He ate what he could catch and didn't have to worry about a mate, kids or a pride. Shaking the day's dust from his mane he stepped away from his sleeping spot, a few craggly bushes clumped about an old lightening-blasted tree, and started to head out in the direction he had spotted the local herd a few days ago. Time to hunt again, and then maybe he would resume his trek. After all, he had been resting here for a couple of weeks now and his wunderlust was raising.

It wasnt very often that she went past the pridelands boarders. She had been born there after all, her family was there, she had no need to go. She wasnt really much of a huntress, her shimmering coat made it that way but today she was in the mood to. The stars had called her. It was a beautiful evening clear and bright and her dark eyes were fixed on a particularly beautiful cluster when she heard the movement of something large.
Her gaze left the sky and fell upon a creature that was even brighter than her. His coat was dazzling and she had moved quietly closer to him without even thinking. She stopped herself a few feet from him and looked away embarrassed. This was the rogue lands, he could be dangerous, he could be unfriendly, he could object to someone walking up on him in the middle of the night. She forced herself to move backwards just a few feet, her ears flattening. The resistance to speak though completely left her. "Uhm, hello." She whispers, though she had probably already been spotted by the very bright creature before her. She wasnt exactly hard to miss.

It was the sound of pawsteps that first alerted him, focused as he had been on the wind and the scent it carried. Twisting his head around he instantly caught sight of the bright lion behind him. All thoughts of hunting scattered as his interest was piqued. "Hello there." He returned in a much more normal tone of voice. Though whether he had heard her soft greeting, or was simply hailing her after having realised she was there at all, was unclear. "I haven't see you around here before. I'd remember." He flashed her a bright grin, his golden eyes catching the weak starlight as he looked her over. Unlike her, he seemed immune to the fact that his coat was bright enough to rival the sun. Or maybe his sheer presence simply matched his fur colour. He certainly didn't seem to be the shy and retiring type.

Ziazan tilted her head. He seemed friendly, friendly was good. She let out a little sigh of relief, perhaps it was a little too naive of her to accept that a friendly hello meant that it was safe but she physically relaxed. She was close enough to home that she could run in to the pride lands if she needed to. There were lots of lions there. She would be safe in the borders.
At that exact moment though she felt safe and a calm quiet settled over her as the moonlight flickered off his fur. "You, are very brightly coloured." She breathed, like this was the only thing that could possibly be on her mind at that exact moment.

Her reply surprised him and he let out an amused laugh. "Well, thank you? I guess." He paused and looked pointedly at her own rainbow fur. "I think thats the croc calling the alligator snappy... " He grinned, moving closer to her as she seemed to ahve frozen to the spot a few yards away. "So, what's a girl like you doing out in a place like this? There are some rough characters hanging around here, you know." Sitting back on his haunches he seemed perfectly at ease, curious about her for certain, and content for now to engage her. Syrius Lionwing I was certain I had written a reply to this. Maybe I just thought up the reply and forgot to write it down... wouldn't surprise me if I had.

Tanakako hehe i do that sometimes xD! The rainbow lioness gave a little giggle at his turn of phrase, well, his words were certainly true, she was very brightly coloured for a lion of any part. "I suppose you're right..I am.." She paused for a moment and gave a long sigh "I was thinking of trying to hunt in the dark, but I didn't want to do it in the pridelands, if anyone saw me fail again..theyd laugh at me." She huffs a little pout on her lips.
"Uhm, I live in the pridelands, the borders just a little way that way." She points though she didnt get up and move when he shifted closer. He seemed a very intreaguing beast and did she dare say, brighter coloured even than she?

He arched a brow as she spoke. "Your pride would laugh at you? That's not very nice." Stabding he moved closer to her, now standing right in front of her as he looked at her fur then the slim moon above. "Well, I was about to go hunt. Why don't you come with me? I can show you the way I do it. And if someone like me can manage, I am sure you will be fine." He grinned again, a confident and friendly expression. "What do you say?"

She smiled carefully. "Not everyone, just, I fail a lot in the day time." She flickers her ears and tilts her head. He didn't even know her, he didn't even know her name and yet here he was offering to help her, for nothing, just because he could?
Her smile broadened and she gave a quick nod."If you are willing." She whispers her face flushing with embarrassment at asking a complete stranger and not just a stranger but a stranger not of her pride. "Uhm, My name is Ziazan, what's your name? I need to at least know that if you're going to help me."

"Well, that's hardly your fault is it? Not like its easy to hide all that beauty." He smiled warmly. "It's a shame to even try. Do all your pride have to hunt?" While he had lived his whole life as a rogue, he had met many lions who belonged to different prides and several of them had claimed to hold ranks, alot of which had nothing to do with hunting, as far as he could make out anyway. Turning his golden gaze back to the female he bowed his head. "It is a great pleasure to meet you, Ziazan." Pausing he seemed to think for a moment before shrugging. "What do you wish to call me?"

The rainbow lioness gave a little nod "Many of the pride do, its a very large pride. Technically I don't have to hunt, theres a pot where the best hunters bring food for those who need it. I'm just, really bad at hunting." She sighs lightly, it wasn't like she didnt try but even when she had something on the run, even when she'd sunk up on things just right. She still managed to fail very miserably.
She smiled bashfully at his mention of her being pretty. He was very handsome in her eyes too, she wasnt sure how he kept himself fed though he seemed even brighter coloured than she.
A slight confusion crossed her face when he didn't give her a name but, he requested one from her. It made her giggle and she started to think about what she should name the big deep blue male. "Uhm, how about Azure?" She tilted her head a little blush raising on her cheeks, would he like this or would he think it was very weird?Tanakako Sorry I missed your tag there >.>

He grinned at her reply, head tilting. "Azure it is then." He seemed pleased with the name she had given him. Moving to the side he motioned for her to join him. "Well, if you don't need to hunt, why worry?" He asked, genuinely interested. Having never been part of a pride, he didn't truly know what it was like to be able to reply on others. Not that he was harboring any thought sof giving up his solitary lifestyle. He was free to go where he wished, do what he wished, and he met some of the most interesting characters when he was simply wandering without direction.

Tanakako think this can be wrapped at your post Ziazan chuckled, she was glad that he liked the name, she felt is suited him. His coat was very blue after all. "I just want to be able to contribute to my community, sitting around doing nothing really doesn't suit me." She smiles at the big male and flickers her tail happily, he was a rogue through and through it seemed.
"My mother is a great huntress and my siblings are pretty good too but none of them have my coat colour and really, I am just bad at it." She sighed a little and shrugged. "I accept my limitations but that doesn't meant I don't want to help." She stands and starts to pad towards a place she knew was good hunting, perhaps together they could bring something delicious down despite their unusually bright coats. "Follow me, I know the way to a good hunting ground." She smiles turning away and leading him to the best place she knew for good game.

He flashed her an understanding smile. "I think I get it, and can see why it wouod bother you. If everyone else does a thing, it's only natural to want to do it too." He offered as he moved up beside her, following her lead. As a rogue, he couldn't claim any such experience, but it was easy to imagine it happening in a group where status and worth was measured in the eyes of your fellows. After a moment of thoughtfulness he looked back at her with a smile. "Well then." He said in his rich, slightly exotic accent. "I guess we should teach you how to use your colouration as an advantage, rather than allow it to be a disadvantage. Yes?" He grinned before striding forwards, already full of ideas for her to try.
