A deep breath did nothing to calm her nerves as she headed out of town. Sy was on her way to find someone that could do a job for her. She needed to find her brother. However, before she could get out of eye sight of her village she heard the sound of a wild beast and it seemed like they were coming right for her. She gripped her staff firmly in her hands as she looked around. Her long pointed ears were on high alert now as she tried to pinpoint where the animal was coming from. When she thought she knew she turned to face that direction.

Luckily her guess had been right. Sy managed to see the poscuta as it launched itself into the air at her. Without thinking she moved the ball end of her staff down in a swift motion and caught the beast in the side. She managed to swipe it to the side with a bit of force as she gave a yelp of surprise. She hadn't been sure that she would hit it and then again she was surprised by the fact that a random poscuta had just leapt at her for no reason! As far as she knew there were no nests or dens this close to the village! Unless it was a young one that had been on the hunt and she had just managed to be in it's line of sight. Which was possible. Her green gaze looked around in the tall grass for where it landed to see if she had killed it or simply knocked it unconscious.
