Charlemagne is the third in his family, the only son, younger brother of a set of identical twin sisters. His mother is from a line of high-ranking aristocrats, and is an acclaimed opera singer and socialite. His father is of somewhat lower birth, but caught the eye of his mother as he rose to be one of the highest ranking archers in all of the swirling sands. One of Charlie's sisters is a rising gymnast, the other a talented illusionist. Charlie was pampered and smothered with love as the baby of the family, spoiling him with private tutors in educational and athletic activities. When the sandstorm stopped, his parents were apprehensive to the idea of letting Charlie study abroad, but were ultimately convinced after relentless pleading and badgering. After all, their daughters remained in the swirling sands to keep them company, though he would be sorely missed.
} relationship with his father ; his father Nicolaus was not only one of the top archers in the swirling sands, but also a successful owner of a business that manufactures and markets enchanted cookware. Charlie admires that he's largely a self-made man, looking up to the fact that he wasn't given a gift that made his way to the top faster and easier. He wants to be like him, hoping he'll make his father proud by working tirelessly to be a star athlete.
} relationship with his mother ; his mother Èva is frequently busy living the life of a celebrity, flitting from costume fittings to vocal lessons to shows and events. She is busy almost every night, but spends what free time she has doting over her children. She was musically gifted since she was a child, developing her voice right around the age of 10. Her parents, wealthy high-ranking patrons of the arts, fostered her talent and she grew to be well-known in her field. Èva loves parties, both giving them and attending them. There is not a season that goes by where there isn't a ball or soiree or charity event hosted at her home, which gave her darling daughters and precious son a frequent dip into high society and the manners and decorum that it demanded. Charlie has a fair relationship with his mother; they get along well, but sometimes she's a little too extravagant and frivolous and dramatic for him. She expects all of her children to act proper every second of the day, which puts even more pressure on Charlie on top of his rigorous academic studies and athletic engagements. He always had to be on his toes and react correctly, or else a firm correction would follow.
} relationship with his sisters ; Charlemagne has a love-hate relationship with his sisters. They're both incredibly gifted in their respective craft; Chloé was a rising gymnast and Camille a talented illusionist. They excelled effortlessly, managing to find free time between their studies and practice to pick on him. It's no more than playful sibling jabbing, however; no real harm meant. Charlie is envious of how effortless their respective gifts come to them, which motivates him to work harder to better himself in order to prove himself to his family, high society, and himself.
} relationship with his community ; Percy has lived the high life his whole life. He's always been surrounded by nobility, and was subjected to the same conversations on the same topics over and over until he couldn't control the wave of boredom that would wash over him at the announcement of another ball or tea party. The main reason Charlie fought so hard to study abroad in Asphodel was so he could get fresh air from the stuffy elite and get a reprieve of all of the social expectations that were heaped on him. High society was suffocating him and his only real escape was devoting all of his remaining focus to archery. When the opportunity to leave the swirling sands presents itself, charlie leaps at it. However, it seems that you can take Charlie out of the influence of high society but you can't take high society's influence out of Charlie. While being out of the environment where he was expected to behave a certain way without end lets him relax, he can only relax to a certain degree. He falls into snobby habits such as being boastful and stuck up, but feels he has more freedom to let loose without anyone of societal importance keeping an eye on him.
} relationship with school ; Charlie seeks his true challenges through athletics, as they're something he actually has to invest focus, time, and effort in to be good at. Charlie is a quick study and doesn't need to put in a lot of effort to excel in school. The thing he likes most about being at the Academy is the sports available for him to compete in. While he does push himself hard on the different teams he's in, he likes to loosen up in reckless ways to relieve some of the pressure. Usually he's pretty talented about worming his way out of trouble, but he's made several visits to detention and has had to clean the trophy cases on more than one occasion.

} opinion on his race ; - - - Charlie is quite proud to be a Bakeneko, and believes that they are the most socially sophisticated race there is (though he's completely biased). He follows traditional Bakeneko customs and worships the Nine cat gods, takes part in traditional sports and will seriously consider employing the help of a match-maker if he doesn't find love on his own.
} opinion on his house ; - - - Charlie is a quick learner and is pretty intelligent, so academics are never really a challenge for him; this leads him to think those of his house that are constantly studying or have their nose stuck in a book are rather dull. However, the select few that surround him in his economies classes entertain him enough to keep him engaged at the academy. They seem to share like-mindedness in ambition and dedication, and provide a competitive environment that Charlie thrives in. Charlie believes the house system is a bit silly, as it seems (to him) to group a lot of the same people together when diversity should be celebrated and explored.
Strengths:
- - - dedicated ; When Charlemagne decides something is worth his time and effort, he throws all of himself into it. He will work tirelessly to perfect whatever craft he pursues, holding himself responsible to prove himself a promising student.
- - - proper ; Being raised in a high-class aristocratic family, Charlemagne was schooled in manners and etiquette since he was young. It's against his beliefs to act dishonestly, and conducts himself with care around those he wants to view him in good graces.
- - - level-headed ; Charlie is quite adept at keeping his emotions in check. He isn't easy to anger or upset, and doesn't excite with as much enthusiasm as some. That's not to say he isn't expressive; he mainly conducts himself with an air of confidence that could be interpreted as arrogance.
Faults:
- - - haughty ; Charlie grew up completely adored by everyone surrounding him, inflating his self-importance and spoiling him rotten. This trait bleeds into his personality, but he manages to keep it in check while making appearances back in his homeland. His parents only tolerate a certain level of confidence, but around his peers and sportmates he swaggers around with a large amount of arrogance.
- - - entitled ; Charlie is accustomed to the finer things in life, being born with a silver spoon in his mouth. Because he is of high class, he expects to be treated well and will not hesitate to remind people of his status to receive special privileges. His word doesn't go nearly as far at the academy than it does back in the swirling sands, but he effortlessly exudes an air of superiority.
- - - snobbish ; If Charlie comes across something he doesn't like, he'll be sure to tell you. He is very high maintenance and has expensive taste, and when things don't meet his standards he has no problem expressing it. This does not exclude people he interacts with, and has burned several bridges while at the academy.

Your Nightmare has just woken up on a day where they have class. What is their morning ritual? How do they get ready?
Charlemagne awoke to his alarm early that morning, the incessant beeping causing an ache to spread from right between his eyes on out. He groaned and hit the snooze button, fluffing his pillow and rolling over. Last night he went to a party with his fencing buddies, and he had had quite the night. One of the older Elves had brought some of the potions from his brewing class for them to try out as dares, the labels conveniently missing. The golden vial of liquid looked so promising when he had snatched it from the pile, expecting it to dramatically change his voice or maybe enhance his charm. What he didn't expect was uncontrollable laughter that lasted a full forty five minutes. The guys thought it was hilarious, but his torso was still sore even after the night had passed.
When he finally rolled out of bed and made his way into the bathroom, he showered and began styling his hair, meticulously brushing and shaping and gelling until it was flawless. The effect he was going towards was, of course, supposed to look like he had rolled out of bed looking like he did now; effortlessly perfect. By the time he had finished primping and glanced at his clock, he realized that he'd be late if he didn't leave now. The thing was, his art class was all the way across campus, and all they were supposed to do that day was discuss different artistic mediums. It didn't take much thought before he decided to ditch class, planning instead to use his new free time to take out his archery equipment and do some target practice before fencing club met later on. He could skip class once, couldn't he? It wouldn't hurt to miss one little lecture. He could charm the notes off of one of his classmates. Charming himself out of a detention would be more challenging, but he would be lying if he said he wasn't confident he could manage.

Hello! I'd like to say that I really enjoy what you have going on here so far, and I'd just like to see some of it fleshed out a little more!
Backstory:
You mention that Charlie is a junior in your first post, but you seem to put the same weight on what you expect for his character as time goes on. While I appreciate that you outlined his future and where you intend to take his character, what is most important for the purpose of this quest are the things that have led up to now. How does Charlie feel about his mother? His sisters? Does he get along with them well, or is there tension there? Why does Charlie idolize his father? Does he have a close relationship with him, or does he admire him from afar? Does he hope to win his affection? Wealthy families can still alienate their kids, even if they are spoilt. Why did Charlie want to leave the Swirling Storms so badly? What about Below appealed to him, as a freshling?
Personality:
It seems as if Charlie has a lot of things on his plate - how does this affect his personality or general mood? Is he irritable or does he seem to carry it all effortlessly? How does he keep all of his interests organized in his head? It looks like you have an unfinished thought under "opinion on his race." You mention that he would describe other people in Eldritch to be stuffy, while Charlie appears to be the stuffiest of all. Why is it that he would think the people around him are more staid than he is?
RP Prompt:
This prompt seems to directly oppose the personality you have laid out for Charlie in the rest of the quest, especially being representative of his daily morning routine. I would never have guessed from your description above that he'd ever be the type to spend all night partying, and then skip class. I'd feel more comfortable if he reminded himself that this was the only time this week he'd skip, for example, rather than writing it off as no big deal - because you had outlined him to be so studious. I'd also recommend clarifying in his personality that he likes to loosen up in reckless ways sometimes - it would make sense, with all the pressure he puts on himself!
Also, I would like to note that we do have a form in the Guide to Quest Approval that we've been requiring people to use since early- to mid-January. I'd like to ask you to edit your quest to fit into that form.

i added more to the 'freshling' portion of the first post, going over more of what Charlie went through as a freshling
i rearranged the second post to fit the template order
i added a lot more to the family section, breaking down different relatinoships with the people/ in his life and other things he's involved with
i went more in depth on why he wants to leave the swirling sands when the opportunity arises
i liked your suggestion about mentioning in his personality about letting loose by acting recklessly, and edited in his feelings about allowing himself to skip art
i hope i wrote him so he seems less studious and more athletically driven, and that it comes across that most of the pressure that is on him is on expectations from his family and the society he's surrounded by c:
