He was tired, there was no way around it, but he couldn’t avoid going out on a patrol. He just didn’t bring Erebus with him, though he knew he should with how drained he was. Classes were just starting and were already busy not to mention work, patrolling, and he was putting in some more time at the gym and martial arts dojo. This was a lot on it’s own but he was donating energy to Caedus to help in getting the alien back home. The energy draining was exacting its toll on him as he fought to keep himself going as he continued his patrol.

Rather than risk himself with roof top travel he was keeping to back alleyways and other areas, places where people wouldn’t see him but where he wasn’t at risk of falling to his death.

Terry would not be pleased if he knew what he was doing, in fact he couldn’t think of anyone who would be, and that was why it was his little secret. Though it really wasn’t a little secret...it was a big secret..big enough to need it’s own walk in closet. But it was something he kept to himself and planned to continue to keep to himself, at least for as long as he could. He knew that this secret would lead to more, knew it from the moment he’d decided to privately offer up his help, and already he had another secret added to the pile. He knew if people found out, those he was close to and those he was even a bit familiar with, he would be in trouble so he kept his mouth closed and hid it the best he could. He was good at this sort of thing...thankfully.

Kallichore was moving at a brisk pace, not having found much of note on her patrol route tonight. There was but one very weak feral youma terrorizing some neighborhood dogs, but it was very easy to dispatch. The owners of the small house were alerted to the problem by their dogs barking ferociously in the backyard, and only barely witnessed the youma’s demise and the young woman clad in white who disappeared shortly thereafter. Kallichore wasn’t one to stick around long after disposing of a youma. Public attention didn’t interest her.

Quickly moving into the boundaries of the commercial district, the eternal closed long distances with relative ease, enjoying the height differences between each jump and destination. It was nothing like her home moon, with its sweeping emerald valleys and ghostly rotted villages. Destiny City, though under constant siege, was still bustling with life.

And speaking of life… Landing on the rooftop of a storage facility, someone pinged at Kallichore’s radar. A knight of some kind, definitely. Lower in rank. She thought it best just to check in with them, see if they needed assistance. With no other Chaos signatures nearby, things were probably just fine with the knight, she suspected. It was easy to pinpoint the signature, but rather than dropping in like a gargoyle on the hunt and potentially scaring the hell out of the knight, she kept to the rooftops, above where the signature was emanating.

“I don’t mean to be rude,” she started, voice low so as not to startle the knight with her sudden appearance. “I was just passing by and wondered if you needed any assistance?”

Quote:
He hadn’t felt the signature at first but when he did he startled, jumping a bit, he hadn’t been as focused as he should have been. Tired and needing a little boost in energy, as he had been busy and spending his own energy on the various things filling his life. No one could ever call the page of Ganymede lazy, that was for certain.

As he sensed the senshi, eternal his mind registered, Venice felt them approaching and figured they would be dropping in to visit him. So he wasn’t surprised when he heard their voice. Looking up he stared for a moment. “None needed - all good here.” In the middle of Koreatown he was comfortable in his own skin, even if his uniform was...cold and very eye catching. He was comfortable in this part of the city.

“Never seen you before.” Not that it said much really, there were plenty of others he had never seen. But still, he might as well say it and perhaps get the others name from them.

Quote:
“Likewise.” came a brief answer.

Kallichore hopped down from her rooftop perch to at least introduce herself properly. “I'm glad you are well. I am Kallichore, Senshi of Madness. And who are you?”

Being a Page, he might have been very new. If that were the case, patrolling alone could be a very dangerous prospect. She noted, as she approached, that the Page reminded her of Venus knights she had seen in passing. Delicate lace and buckles, a regal sort of loveliness about them, but the colors were off. Weren't Venus knights more of a pink? Kallichore chalked it up to bad memory and that she hadn't interacted with too many Knights of Venus very often.

Quote:
“Venice, of Ganymede.” He answered easily, bowing once to the winged senshi. He had never heard of her either but she was eternal, meaning she’d been at this a while. “Is good to meet you.” Straightening himself he took the time to look her over, well the uniform fit the sphere didn’t it? Certainly seemed it to him.

Leaning back against the brick wall, for support more than anything else, he watched her casually. Did she by chance know Ganymede, he couldn’t help but wonder. He was sure that Ganymede would be well known since she was a princess, she had to have been around along time. They just hadn’t talked too much so he knew little about her, though he wasn’t sure if that was a bad thing really. He still felt uncomfortable around her...she was his opposite in so many ways and he felt...cheap next to her...and like some child where she felt like a parent. But he knew that was hardly the case as he was older than her.

She just seemed more put together whereas he had several piercings and half his hair shaved and red streaking through the natural black of his hair.

Quote:
Venice, of Ganymede

Kallichore balked.

”E-excuse me?” came a rather undignified squeak. Luckily for her, “dignified” wasn’t a word she would ever use to describe herself, but still. Having just learned that the universe saw fit to elevate Ganymede to the rank of royalty... Being undignified in the face of one of her Pages was the least of Kallichore’s concerns.

The eternal started to pace, running a gloved hand through her hair. It wasn’t nervous energy, but dampened excitement and incredible curiosity. “Venice, do you know when it happened? How? Have you met one another? I should hope so…”

Ganymede! A princess!

The thought was exhilarating.

No wonder Venice didn’t quite fit with the color palette she’d seen on previous Venus knights. Though they shared similarities, Venice was distinctly different in both style and color, but the conclusion that he was Ganymede’s knight simply hadn’t occurred to her. Kallichore was, quite honestly, thrilled, and had too many questions for the poor Page. The eternal started to mumble to herself. “Did knights of a particular royal awaken shortly after their royal does? Does that mean… How many unawakened knights of various royals are simply unaware? How many are in the throes of the Negaverse? Fascinating…

Quote:
“I-I don’t know when..how...why…” He answered slowly, watching the other. He could only assume, by her reaction, that she knew Ganymede but hadn’t seen her in a long time. Was that a good or a bad thing? Were they friends...but if so why not know this? Had something happened...a friendship gone bad? Or just dropped out of contact...but why that and why for so long? He’d been a page for a year now.

“Several of us...One was Negaverse before.” Thinking on the few he knew he could remember the other...three. “Three more too. Young..younger than me.” He did remember that. He was one of the older members in their group. He didn’t know if there were others though, by now there might be.

“Small group of of us but two aren’t Ganymede. One was Negaverse, with other one, but now Uranus. Then Saturn knight.” The Saturn knight being his other half, and the one who didn’t jump into things or do other stupid things like Venice did, and was currently doing. “Have been like this a year…” So Ganymede had to have been a princess that long, by what he knew anyway, but how much longer than that he didn’t know.

Quote:
“A year? My god I’ve been out of the loop for that long it seems…”

Kallichore continued her pacing, but was more responsive to Venice. “So it clearly had to have happened more than a year ago, and four already? I’m sure Ganymede is very proud. And to think, I assumed you were a Venus knight, but the colors didn’t fit. I didn’t even see your symbol until I got close enough. What a world.”

The eternal looked up into the sky, wondering what event prompted Ganymede’s ascension into royalty. That marked what, four? Iris, Polaris, Castor… and now Ganymede. Kallichore only met two of the royals, and while she knew Ganymede previously, she had never seen the senshi of lust as a fully-awoken Princess.

She turned back to Venice and tilted her head. “Since you’ve been a Page of Ganymede for one year now, do you have a good relationship with the Princess? I don’t mean to pry, I’ve been… away for some time now. Ganymede and I used to fight alongside each other, but we had our ideological differences.” At the time, at least. Kallichore idly wondered if Ganymede filled in her Knights on the events of the past, before they were brought into the fray.

“...and you mentioned one had purified from the Negaverse to become a Knight of Ganymede. Do you happen to know who that was?”

Quote:
“Haven’t seen in a long time.” He said thinking of the last time he’d seen Ganymede, or rather Paris, it had been months ago...back in the summer if he thought on it really. He had just gotten back from time in Korea. “Never seen Venus knight...so wouldn’t know.” He had no idea what they looked like, though he could assume they looked similar to himself save for the colors - interesting.

“Only seen her few times...three maybe four…” And each time it hadn’t been for all that long either. There hadn’t been anything negative about the meetings but there wasn’t a friendship or anything either. They were...acquaintances if he had to put a word to it. “Not friends but know each other and talk when seeing each other. No negative...but not friends.” She wasn’t really in the know on his life, unless she checked on his social media but that was still limiting.

“Only know her and her husband - Valhalla.” Who he’d only seen twice and really only spoken to once. He was a bit...distanced from his princess but it didn’t bother him really. He felt a bit..different when around her anyway. He felt younger when really he was older than her, a very odd feeling. She was much more put together than he was. “Don’t remember...had eye patch though.” As though that would help, it did stand out after all so it should help - right?

Quote:
Venice hadn’t seen his princess in a long time? The eternal found that to be unfortunate. Perhaps slightly disturbing. Did something happen to Ganymede? Kallichore couldn’t imagine the princess would just abandon her knights without good reason. “That’s… sad, somehow. Polaris seemed to have a close relationship with some of her knights, but perhaps something is taking Ganymede’s attention. Or maybe I’m just reading too much into it.”

Kallichore tapped her fingers against her chin. So Ganymede was still with - and married to - Valhalla. That was a good sign.

Venice mentioning a Negaverse agent with an eyepatch… the only one Kallichore remembered was Wolframite, but that didn’t mean other Negaverse agents weren’t lurking with eyepatches themselves. The organization was so huge, it was impossible to say. “It’s comforting to know there are some who have purified, even that high up in the Negaverse. Has…”

The eternal frowned for a moment. Would this be a violation of some social protocol she wasn’t aware of? She was never the best with social graces anyway. “...has Ganymede taught you very much about the history of the war, Venice? You said you were a Page for about a year, so I imagine you’ve been exposed to quite a lot. But, at what depth?”

Quote:
“It is but is ok - she is busy person.” Just like he was, he was a busy person as well. He had work and school plus gym time and other things. There wasn’t a lot of time to be social, there wasn’t even much time for himself at points. It was just a lot to do and he had the bad habit of trying to handle it all and load more onto his own shoulders, which he’d done in fact. It was why he’d been visiting the small clinic in Koreatown and was planning to go now, he’d go once this conversation was over.

“Think she is a mother...remember it mentioned. So busy being mother.”He knew he’d heard it at some point, he just couldn’t remember where, but he knew she was a parent and that cut into her time as a senshi he was sure. He knew how much his life cut into being a knight a lot, real life had to come first for him anyway.

Nodding his head to the senshi’s words about some officers changing sides. “Yes, is good for us and helps them. He tried to kill a General Queen - pink haired...powerful. Tried to help but didn’t work. She died anyway - went insane...dangerous to everyone even their own.” Remembering what happened in Negaspace...so much had happened and so many died. It had caused nightmares for a long time after it. He still, though rarely, woke up from them now. So much had happened but that and the dragon stood out - how could they not?

“History of the war? No...very little about the past I know.” He could have asked Terry, he’d been a knight longer, but he had a feeling this senshi might just know more - a lot more. “Seen some things...done some things but know the past...not all of it.”

Quote:
“Motherhood, you say? My… yes, that would keep anyone busy, really.”

So much had happened since Kallichore decided to lay low, as it were. Venice was a very valuable source of information, Ganymede notwithstanding. Kallichore didn’t recognize the “pink-haired General-Queen”, but knowing one more was gone made her feel a bit more at ease. The fewer high-ranking Negaverse agents, the better.

The eternal sighed, pulling her hair behind an ear. “I apologize, I shouldn’t take up so much of your time, Venice.” She wrung her hands together then, at least somewhat satisfied with the glut of information Venice was able to provide. “But if you’d like to learn more about the past, it’s a bit of a specialty of mine.” With the flick of her wrist, a cellphone appeared. She knew knights could not communicate with senshi without some kind of ring, but beyond that she didn’t have specifics. “If you don’t mind, may I take your picture? So I can spot you easier in the future. I may have more questions for you.”

Quote:
As it seemed things were coming to an end, at least for now, he nodded his head to allow her to take the picture she asked for. “Can meet up another time. Attend Destiny City university….Seung Kim.” He said hoping she would look for him that way, it would be the easiest way to make future contact, the city was big and lots of people were around, at least that way it narrowed things down and made connecting easier.

“Can meet as civilians and talk.” And he could learn more from her, he’d like that. It was a good thing for him to learn as much as he could, it could only help in the future.

Once she was done and her phone away he turned to go, he had somewhere to be, he would pick up something to eat afterwards before he went home for the night.
