If Morpheus gave himself a choice in the matter, he would never set foot outside so long as the temperature dropped below 40 degrees. He disliked any kind of freezing weather, and the light dusting of snow on the ground only served as repellant for how often he slipped and slid on its trodden surface. No one salted the rooftops, he found, so slipping and stuttering on ice proved a fact of life that evening.
The local movie theater, rustic in its elderly neon lights combined with updated modern piping, stood as a magnet attraction for many of Destiny City's teenagers. Rings released, which he vaguely recognized as a horror movie, and many of the occult junkies flocked ot its initial showing. Naturally everyone wanted to watch it after dusk, and ny the hour of eight o-clock, its first nightly showing completed. Morpheus waited on the roof of the nearby parking lot elevator, where the vantage point still strayed near to the ground. He almost worried about his visibility, but as the trickle of viewers left the building, he found that they remained focused on one another rather than the heights in the environment. Morpheus sighed with relief.
He withdrew the shard from his waist sash, and from it sprang another wraith. This one remained in the vague silhouette of an owl, though horns sprouted from its head. Wordlessly it conducted itself toward the crowd. Here, Morpheus learned that loosing a wraith on those who just saw a horror movie led to interesting consequences - some of them spotted the wraith due to their state of alarm, and the group began to scatter for cover.
"s**t," Morpheus muttered under his breath. "Uh, dude, get back here." The words communicated not far, but the wraith ascertained its master's want. It gained so little energy in the process that it looked just as translucent as before; Morpheus sighed at his own stupidity for how thoroughly it thwarted his energy draining attempts. He should've waited for the release of some feel-good movie, or maybe a family comedy that would dredge out sugar-high kids. Usually those paid out in droves.
"C'mon Disney, make another ********' movie," he sighed to himself. Soon he sat upon the snow-laden tar paper and resigned himself to waiting in the cold. Another movie had to let out eventually.

She was supposed to be waiting for her cousin, but she had gotten there early in her excitement. They were suppose to see a movie and then go patrolling together, but Leah powered up deciding on doing a once or twice around while she waited for her cousin after her mom dropped her off.
She felt another right away, but not really so much at the movie theater, as the parking garage? She frowned thinking that could only mean trouble. She would just check it out real quick and get back so she would miss the movie. She moved quickly running into the parking lots lower level and looking around. She didn't see anyone, but they were there, she could feel them.
She sighed stepping more out into the open and moving down looking through the rows of cars. She shivered slightly frowning ... this fuku wasn't really made for this weather.
A pinpric of brightness erupted near his draining operation, which almost always happened, and Morpheus' shoulders sagged. "Do you really gotta bust my balls right now?" Morpheus just wanted an easy time of draining energy so he could go home, eat his pigeon, and watch gangsta movies in hopes of being a damn fine one himself. He probably had to watch a shitload of shows to get that way, and Morpheus wanted to be fully prepared to sit down and have a binge watch. But if this b***h wanted to come up and stop him from filling his quota, then they were gonna have problems.
A lot of problems.
Morpheus stood, dusted off the back of his tunic, and jogged for the stairs. He mumbled under his breath a string of curse words as he crossed the distance. The recent conclusion of a movie meant a surfeit of cars driving by him, nearly hitting him, and hopefully doing the same to this new intruder on his affairs. Or he hoped they did - but he never felt the other person wink out as if killed by a car.
Fair enough, he guessed. He never heard of a murder by car at like, five miles per hour. That was the speed limit in these things, right?
Wait, was there a speed limit? Morpheus wanted to stop and gawk for it, but he pushed on.
"Yo," he called once he sighted the eyesore of pink and yellow, "go home or some s**t. Don't be steppin' in on my business." She looked like a kid. Like, an actual kid. If he had to beat her up or something, at least she'd go down easy.

Rhea could feel the other headed for her and it made her heart speed up a little. She did realize that might happen, but it didnt make the reality any easier to swallow. This was her job though, so to speak. She needed to protect these people.
She gave him a look when he started to speak, furrowing her brow and half pursing her lip, ".... what one earth ... honestly, you sound like you just skipped high school all together. Who speaks like that?"
She folded her arms over her chest, hip cocked slight in all her 5'2" chibi glory, pouring out sass like the person in front of her didn't have a chaos signature. It was a bad habit, one which she needed to break, but didn't honestly think she could.
"I think you should leave. Let these people enjoy their evening without being terrorized by you, whoever you are?" He was like the other senshi with the dragon thing, the creature that sucked up energy right ... with the sheer thing he wore and lots of black.
The ********? Morpheus stopped short to shoot her a scowl. "I kinda did, you brat. And I think you should get ********' off so I can get my s**t done and go home. It ain't a goddamn choice." Where did these Order folk get off with their holier-than-thou bullshit anyway? Sure, they didn't have to drain energy. Suddenly they knew what was best for the world and could go around looking down their noses at people for that? What a pain in the a**.
"Get lost. Morpheus' Cinders." A swipe of his hand gathered dust, and he blew it toward the shorty senshi with every intention of getting it in her eyes. Maybbe she'd wander lost for a while and he could get his work done and get out.
Besides, he was kinda hungry. What time did he have for babysitting this b***h?

Sailor Scout Attack: Morpheus' Cinders
Range: 6~-8', dependent on wind conditions Duration: 30 seconds Use Count: Useable 3x without energy replenishment. Miss Chance: Morpheus' attack can miss based on wind blowing the dust in the wrong direction, a character jumping out of the way, or shutting their eyes / shielding the face. Effect: Morpheus can either wipe his forehead or touch the dust-laden ribbon of his uniform to summon a handful of soot. He then throws it toward the target (hence the variability on range), and if it strikes them in the eyes or face, the attack will take hold. It does not sting the eyes as one would expect of soot. From then on, the afflicted character will interpret the world with blended elements of stream of consciousness / dreaming. These elements are entirely up to the player - for example, they may see someone's face taper into a trombone, or watch a battle taking place upon a lake that's dripping upward onto the clouds, or that Destiny City has become a sphere encasing the entire battle, and looking upward reveals the rooftops of buildings on the other side. Any blended elements are free reign here - sights, sounds, tastes, feelings, and smells are all viably manipulable components in Morpheus' attack.
However, this magic can only augment parts of people - it cannot change the whole.

Rhea blinked at the other, and gave him a look that clearly said she though he was an idiot, "... kinda of did ... you skipped out on high school??? No, you needed not to have done that ... clearly and I am not going anywhere. Everyone has a choice and that is mine."
She didn't realize what he was going until it was to late, barely able to close her eyes in time before a face full of dust. It didn't really hurt and she was a bit confused, but she realized quickly something was very very wrong. An elephant walked by, a tiger and a lion next, a few clowns and a ring master, before something rose behind the other senshi that had her wide eyes and instantly terrified.
"No," she shouted, throwing her arms out toward the senshi and giant octopus-like monster behind him. "Little giggles!"

Sailor Scout Attack: Little Giggles
She moves her arms in an arc outward from her center and causes a gust a of wind that rushes at the target blowing over them and causes the person to burst to giggles whenever they move for 30 seconds. It can only be used on one person at a time, but can be used 2 times per battle.
*The attack has a four foot radius in front of Rhea and can be easily dodged by simply jumping two feet to either side of her. The closer Rhea is to the target the harder it is to avoid.
Morpheus shifted from the girl - he didn't want to bother bantering iwth her while his wraith went unattended - and focused his attentions elsewhere.Much of the movie theatre crowd dispersed by now, which left him with dregs for energy takings. The wraith itself looked semisolid and willing to trawl for more energy. He urged it back over; since the White Moon arrived to jam up his s**t, he wasn't taking any chances.
A light wind blew, and Morpheus thought nothing of it. He took another step, and for no ostensible reason, felt the inconcievable urge to giggle. And Morpheus knew he was never a giggler - when he laughed, he did so deeply - but he couldn't suss out why he even felt such a need. Suspicious, he shot the chibi senshi a glance, and a small fit of giggles erupted from him. Immediately he covered his mouth, and muttered around his fingers in consternation. "The ******** did you just do? Dude, your magic sucks dicks." He giggled at that, too.
But really, who didn't giggle at sucking d**k? Bitches. Bitches didn't. And he bet to himself that this chibi here was a b***h.
Actually, he knew so.
He tried to simply walk away from her, and found the bizarre condition dogged him relentlessly. He giggled again, and again, with each step he tried to take. Finally he halted altogether, and shouted toward the sky. "This is ********' ridiculous!"

The vision of the octopus youma faded away and she was once again in the parking out with the senshi before her trying to get away, but finding it hard. She grinned and could help, but to laugh.
She stuck her tongue out at him, not that he could see it and spouted, "that's what you get ... stealing energy and making me see crazy things."
She ran right up to him and swung her little foot to kick him hard in the shin. It was exactly what he deserved and it would be better to bring him down before he recovered from his bout of giggles, lest she have to do it again. She wasn't to keen on letting him sand her again ... or whatever it was he did.
She quickly moved back, not wanting the man to floor her. She was certain that would hurt a lot.
Giggles weren't paralytic, Morpheus discovered. While he continued to giggle as Rhea approached, he wasn't so incapacitated by them as to allow her to actually kick him in the shin. "The ******** you tryin' to do?" He managed around bursts of chuckles, but the magic began to fade, and his wraith was finally looking full. He wanted the hell out of there before he actually had to attack some kid wandering around in an ugly-a** tutu. He didn't need to attackanyone now; the wraith already floated toward its shard with energy taken. The theater goers certtainly looked less excited upon their venture to the parking lot, but still retained enough vigor to get home.
Good enough, he decided.
"Go mess with the Negaverse or some s**t, brat. You don't need to go ********' around with the Dark Mirror. s**t…" After scoffing at the kid, Morpheus leapt for the rooftops. He still felt some residual mirth from the giggling magic, and shook his head at himself for how damn near everything still felt humorous. How long was that s**t going to last?
It didn't matter. Energy was taken, the b***h was left behind, and he could turn in his energy for another job done, cuz ******** this noise.
