Name: C'rian
Age: 24
Sex: Male
Sexual Orientation: Heterosexual. Ish.
Weyr: Other
Rider Rank: Traveler / Trader
Previous Rank/Craft: Holder's Son
Physical Description: C'rian inherited his father's pale skin. It's not entirely pale, but fairer enough to cause him trouble in the summer months or exposed to long spurts of sunshine. He has a thick mop of slightly curled black hair; it's long enough he can tie it back in a cord or ribbon, and his bangs are known to fall into his long-lashed eyes. He's relatively scarless, bruises easily, and is of a trim and slender shape. He stands about 6'2", one of the taller men in his family, and though he is trim, he is not weak. He may not be covered in muscle, but he's strong enough when it matters. He has long fingers, long limbs, and a grace that some women might envy. He often wears a charming smile, and is rarely seen in wares that aren't befitting his station.
Personality: C'rian must have been a feline in another life, or so says his family. The dark haired man is never in a rush, and seems to take the view that life should be enjoyed. When the winds of change blow, C'rian is only too hapy to go along with them; there is very little in life that causes him to stand up and resist or fight. This often drove his father, Rianden, crazy. His son's seeming lethargy and good humor meant that even when he was blind with rage, there was little inspiring the man to move. Ah, but though he often shirked certain tasks so as to climb trees or race runners, C'rian had a sharp mind. He does well remembering numbers and has a knack of business; if he had actually applied himself he would have been a brilliant asset to his father. Instead, he preferred to dream his days away, and only piped up when there were causes that interested him.

Unlike his father Rianden who is known to have a temper, C'rian seemed to take after his other father, Ciramar, in nature. He's patient, forgives easily, and suffers from very good humor. He knows how to take a joke, and teasing is something he participates in. He's always sensitive to others natures though; if he feels he's crossed the line with his teasing he'll be quick to apologize. He's generous with his marks, and certainly enjoys spoiling his loved ones when he can.

Unfortunately, C'rian's easy-going nature can swiftly turn into laziness. Additionally, his forgiving nature can sometimes be far too forgiving. He will allow others leniency where he should perhaps not; he will quickly let bygons be bygons when perhaps he need be firm. This can allow him to be taken advantage of by others, but in his amicable way, he'd likely be the first one to object to such an accusation.

Furthermore, his lackadaisical nature means that he often has little drive for the everyday. Just as he was content to be married off for land or prestige, he is more than happy to be Aishe's arm-candy and to allow her to handle the business. While this migh cause his father shame, it works well for C'rian. Lately, though, he's bee pondering whether or not he needs to step up. With a child on the way, and Thread's return, maybe there's more to him than just arm-candy.

Positive Trait List Easy-Going, Amicable, Humorous, Polite
Negative Trait List Lazy, Overly Forgiving, No Ambition
History:
C'rian is one of the middle children born to Exeter Hold's Holder. He has two father's-- Ciramar and Rianden. Biologically speaking, he and his siblings are the product of mixed surrogacy agreement. As Ciramar and Rianden couldn't have children their own, the next best thing was for Rianden to have Ciramar's sister carry; and for Rianden's sister to carry for Ciramar. The arrangement worked well, as both couples were able to benefit.

Cirian had a relatively childhood. As his older brother's shouldered most of the responsibility, it left the easy-going child to do what he pleased. He was not a particularly fussy child, and had far less of a temper than his father. Nothing seemed to phase him, much to his father's consternation. Threat's and punishment didn't intimidate the boy; he just shrugged it off, or worse, laughed and went along with it. Thankfully, he wasn't much of a troublemaker. Instead, he drifted through life happily, and without complaint.

For a few turns, one might have thought the young boy spoiled. He certainly enjoyed the fineries that came with his station, and had a convenient way of shirking his duties. Even at a young age he tended to charm the nursemaids to coo and coddle over him and his long lashes and curly hair; he could even charm some of the menfolk with his giggles and pleas. Honestly if he'd been born in Bitra, he might have been an excellent swindler; thankfully, such manipulation is far too much work for him.

So it was, he grew up with the world served on a platter. He was fussed over, he had brothers to idolize, and young siblings to play with and spoil in turn. Still, he lived as if in a dream; not interested in business, with little desire to learn a specific craft. He dabbled in Harpering, if only to make the ladies swoon, but soon grew tired of the demands to make a solid instrument; the Fishingcraft meant he spent more time dozing in the boats than actually casting a line; and while he loved to ride and race runners, and even debated taking up the craft, the Beastcraft or Runnercraft just seemed too messy.

Life may have continued to gone on as if a dream until he saw her. Aishe wasn't like the Hold girls he knew; she was strong, independent, a trader, and all things dazzling. Oh, the boy -- for he was just a boy at the time -- found himself with a crush. It didn't matter that she was older. He was old enough -- barely -- to know about such adult things. Sort of. Kind of. Maybe. So it was, unafraid, he had no problem flirting with the red haired woman.

It didn't work. She hardly batted an eye, and mostly appeared to think he was being nothing but a silly child. This vexed Cirian. So it was, Turn after Turn, he continued to pine after the older woman, all to no avail. Even as he grew and aged, he tried to find ways to catch her eye, but it was not to be. Worse, she eventually stopped coming. Oh, how his heart broke; but he was determined to become worthy.

So it was, in the name of love, Cirian threw himself into his studies. He followed his younger sibling to the Harpercraft where he had a strong knack not only for playing instruments, but most importantly for crafting them. There was a lot of good he could do designing instruments, from stringing harps, to crafting lutes, and making reed pipes. In fact, he had just walked the tables as a Journeyman at 18 when he was, surprise of all surprises, found on Search for High Reaches Weyr.

Amazingly, he Impressed from he first clutch he stood -- a strapping brown named Kronoseth. The large brown seemed to be the ambition and fire he needed... sort of. While the brown could appreciate lounging in the sun, he also had ambitions and plans on being the most influential brown on Pern. High Reaches Weyr certainly encouraged the brown, and C'rian in turn. But the man wasn't entirely sold that he wished to stay in the North; he was anxious to return to his family, and perhaps, see if a red-haired lady had ever returned from her travels.

Not long after returning to Exeter Hold, much to his dragon's disappointment, he was reunited with Aishe. He found out she had Impressed a gold dragon, Rhianth, from High Reaches Turns earlier. If Kronoseth had been pouting about being ripped away from a life of purpose and duty, Rhianth made him forget such pain in a heartbeat. Like rider like dragon, the brown was utterly smitten by the gold. Thankfully, with time, he was able to woo her as his mate; and C'rian managed to prove to Aishe that he was quite a capable man.

They wed, and C'rian was only too happy to company Aishe and Rhianth in their travels around Pern. While he let's her do most of the trading, he is a capable businessman when he wants to be; and sells some of his instruments while they're on the road. Most recently he found out he was soon to become a father... and he's not quite sure what to expect.

Other: He plays the pipes quite well, and has a decent singing voice.

DRAGON
Name: Kronoseth
Age: 5 Turns
Color: Brown
Size: 42'
Physical Description: User Image
Personality: Kronoseth has always been an ambitious creature, and is exactly the sort of dragon his rider needed. Without Kronoseth in his life, the brown is quite certain his rider would have simply drifted through his days doing little else but chasing skirts, and enjoying the privilege of his rank and title. Thankfully, he now has Kronoseth to set him straight.

This brown doesn't want to just sleep his days away. No, he wants to be somebody. While he can appreciate enjoying a day in the sun, instead he wants nothing more than to lead and influence others. He oes this in part by encouraging all the weyrlings and hatchlings he might see and meet. Kronoseth has a soft spot for little ones, and won't hesitate to play father figure to anyone in need. While he can be playful and protective, his intentions aren't always pure; if he can influence a young one to become something more, or perhaps have his back when they grow and mature, well, that's just as well, isn't it?

He's loyal to his mate and has no interest in any other female, no matter their color. Like his rider, he swooned over Rhianth the moment he met the gold, but thankfully, she was receptive. Despite his loyalty, he does understand that he must fight his way to the front of the pack every time she grows gold. There are no guarantees.

Thankfully, Kronoseth is a good dragon. While he wants to be the best brown he can be, and influence High Reaches, if not all of Pern, his rider is able to temper his ambitions. Or at least distract him with a sense of purpose. Unlike his rider, Kronoseth has felt the call to fight Thread. He wants to fight, but for now, his duty to his mate and his rider's pleasure trumps such a desire.
