 Elowen was not sure what had possessed her to sign up as a big sibling. And yet she had. Even now her poster was up on the wall detailing what she was like, what she liked, and where she could often be found. So far there hadn't been anyone responding to it or finding her at her garden because of it. Elowen had mixed feelings about that. On one hand, she was disappointed no one wanted her as a big sister. On the other hand, she was grateful there wouldn't be any little freshlings traumatized by the mutant talking to people who weren't there.
Thinking of which... "Get away from me!" she said with a huff. All she wanted was one peaceful day where no spirits talked to her while she worked with her precious mushrooms.

 Wisteria frowned big sibling program why did she have to go to the big sibling program?? She had siblings wasn't that good enough?? She had parents so she liked poisonous herbs and stuff why was this a problem?? Wisteria sighed as she went to where she was meeting her big sibling. Wisteria heading for the garden she wondered if there would be any interesting plants she could take home to experiment on. Wisteria looked at the other Hallowed telling something she couldn't see to get away from her. Humm interesting. Wisteria watched for a moment trying to understand what was going on. Ohhh, they had mushrooms on them, "Are those poisonous??" Wisteria asked in an excited tone.

Elowen yelped in surprise when she heard a young voice from behind her. "What!? Oh, um, n-no, the ones on me aren't p-poisonous," she told the freshling distractedly, one hand seeming to shoo away something that wasn't there. "These are though," she said and gestured to a small patch of colorful fungus. "In large doses anyway." It was then that Elowen noticed the freshling had sounded excited. "Why do you ask?"
"Oh...I um, I'm Elowen, by the way. Are you uh...here to be my little sibling?" Wow, she was so awkward. She winced at herself and fidgeted, waiting for the young one's response.

Wisteria looked disappointed "Oh darn that's too bad." She said softly. Wisteria looked at the fungus and Ooohed "Oh that's kool I want to know all about poisons." She said in awe, Wisteria loved poisons. "I like poisons my daddy Hemlock likes them too." Wisteria said proudly. She didn't think her daddy was bad, even if he did experiment on others without their permission. Wisteria looked at Elowen again curiously "What ya batting away??" Then she nodded and said "Yup the school said I had to because I was a troubled freshling, they think I need another hobby besides poisons." Wisteria pouted "I don't understand why."

"You like poisons?" Elowen thought that was strange for a freshling, but she supposed it wasn't a bad thing since the young one's father was interested in them as well. She paused when she asked what the mutant was batting away. "Oh, just a bug," she muttered. It had been a spirit, one of the more persistent ones that followed her. "I guess they think poisons aren't a suitable hobby for a young Nightmare," she said with a shrug.
"I don't mind telling you about the ones I know of, though most of the mushrooms in my garden aren't poisonous," she told her with a shrug.

Wisteria smiled when Elowen said they would tell her about the poison she knew about even though they weren't supposed to. "Well, what else is there?? Tell me some stuff about mushrooms??" Wisteria sat down waiting for Elowen to tell her some other stuff. Maybe there was something else to think about besides seeing what poisons did to different stuff. "After all I guess no one wants to just be one thing right?? I need more than just one hobby?" Wisteria pondered it, she wondered if Clover and her other sibling had decided on what they liked yet or if they were having trouble.

Elowen smiled a little. She was always happy to talk about her mushrooms. It was the one thing that helped her keep the spirits at bay. "That's right. Even I get tired of gardening some days. I like to read, too," the mutant told her. As she worked, pulling weeds and checking on her precious mushrooms, Elowen described some of the poisonous species she knew of and what they looked like. "The ones that are deadly are usually high colorful," she said. "But not this one. She pointed to a tall, all-white mushroom that she only had one of. "It's called a destroying angel and causes hallucinations before death.

Wisteria watched Elowen and then asked. "Can I help weed too?" Wisteria thought "I guess I like reading, though I was reading about the stuff I like and a little about magic and alchemy, but it was hard to understand so I've been going really slowly." Wisteria said. As she watched Elowen pulling up the weeds. Wisteria was amazed she loved learning stuff from Elowen. Which surprised her she hadn't expected to like the big sibling the school paired her with, but Elowen seemed to understand Wisteria and what she needed. "Wow that is amazing." Wisteria said in a tone of Awe. She had never known this much about mushrooms. This reading thing was something Wisteria would have to check out if Elowen found out all this from books.

"Yeah, sure!" Elowen said and showed her what to look for and how to pluck it without disturbing the mushrooms. She nodded as Wisteria told her about what she liked to read. "Alchemy does seem complicated," she said. "I haven't tried reading about that, or magic. I like to read about gardening, even if it's not mushrooms. And weather, sometimes." She smiled a little and pointed out another of her mushrooms. "That one's not very poisonous but it can cause pretty vivid hallucinations for a couple hours. If you eat too much of it, it can make you really sick but it's not likely to kill you."

Wisteria watched closely and listened as Elowen told her how to weed and she listened to Elowen tell her more about the mushrooms and other kool stuff. "My daddy likes to garden too, my other daddy is the one who likes alchemy and poisons." Wisteria said. Then she went quiet again as she just relaxed listening to Elowen speaking and helping to weed the garden being careful of the mushrooms. Wisteria was curious was the last mushroom Elowen described it sounded like a prank if done right. Though it would have been a rather crazy prank. She wondered if anything here could be turned from a poison to a cure.

She smiled a little at the younger Nightmare as she talked about her parents. "That sounds like an interesting mix of Nightmares," she said. The mutant didn't know her own parents, but she liked to hear about others. Elowen had been so sure she wouldn't like being a big sibling. That she would get a freshling who didn't care about gardening or mushrooms or anything that Elowen liked. But she was happy with Wisteria as her little sibling. Even if she was more interested in the poisonous side of things. She also seemed to be interested in the gardening side and Elowen was happy to tell her whatever she wanted to know.
