Sumi had gone out on his own that evening to do a bit of wandering and to stretch his legs. Arsinoe had said he'd had a meeting and he didn't want to get in the way of whatever that was. So instead of staying in the house with a book, which probably would have been the safer option, he had decided to go see if any Senshi needed him. Plus there was that one ice cream shop that was open late that had little cups for pets. Lucien had taken him in a couple of times and he figured since the people there might recognize him from the neighborhood they might give him a treat. The problem was he couldn't remember exactly where it was and he was pretty sure he'd taken a wrong turn somewhere and now he was lost.

Mag Mell had been minding his own business until he'd caught the faintest trace of an Order aura. He was slowly getting better at paying attention to them, but now he had to master the art of figuring out what they were. This one wasn't particularly strong, but it didn't exactly feel like a senshi or a knight either. "Time to find out, then." The Knight of Cosmos hopped down from where he had been perched, following the trail as the trace of power got stronger. When he thought that he was on top of it but still didn't see anyone he paused, calling his cards to his hand. It was an Order signature, certainly, but... "Wherever you are, you can come out now..."

Sumi had almost not been paying attention but after the last few times Arsinoe had yelled at him he'd started making an effort. He tried to keep his senses open in case someone, or something, was around. He hadn't noticed the knight as fast as he should have but he did at least notice him before the knight was practically standing on him. He had at least moved out of the way a bit and looked up as the knight stopped and summoned his weapon. "I'm not exactly hiding. You're just looking in the wrong direction."

The small voice broke the silence following his statement and he took a moment to glance around again before finally looking down. Both brows lofted in surprise at the small powderpuff of a cat with a lavender star on its forehead. Whatever he had expected when he'd started seeking out the source of power he'd felt, it hadn't been a Guardian Cat. "You're a bit on the small side to be out here on your own, aren't you?" The Knight crouched down, tucking his cards away so that he could hold a hand out to the kitten. "My apologies. I'm still adapting to nights out on my own too."

He huffed softly at being called small. It didn't matter that he was small he still didn't like being reminded that he was tiny and mostly useless unless someone wanted cuddles. Despite the huff when the knight held out a hand he gingerly leaned over to nose the offered fingers before butting under them to get his ears scratched. "I was trying to find the ice cream shop but I think I got turned around. Arsinoe said I was allowed to go out sometimes..." Lucien knew he was technically an adult too so wouldn't forbid him from him but he also knew the senshi wanted to keep him safe as well.

He gave the cat a light scratch behind the ears before gently rubbing under its chin. The knight pulled his hand back slowly after that so that he could straighten himself out. "Do you remember the name of the ice cream shop? Can't say I've got my wallet with me dressed like this in order to get any for you, but if that's where you're supposed to be meeting your person I can at least help you get there." Talking to a cat didn't feel as odd as knowing that the cat talked back, but that was the world he had settled his life into. "You're in luck, at least, that even if we can't find our way there I do know someone who could help us find Arsinoe. He and I haven't met yet, but I do know Sailor Corvus."

He pouted slightly when the knight took his hand back and stood up but didn't complain beyond that. "Um ... I think it was heavenly something? swirls maybe ... they give free treats to pets and I"ve been there a few times so I was hoping I could get some. But I dont' know if they'll give me any without someone else." He could ask the knight to power down and take him in but he didnt know if that was something he could as. Lucien had told him that most of them preferred to keep their two identities separate. "I'm not meeting Arsinoe there. He said he had something to do tonight and I didn't want to sit at home all alone. So I thought I'd get ice cream and then go home and wait. I don't know where he was going and what if Corvus doesn't know where he is either?"

"Corvus might not know where he is, but I can guarantee she would at least know how to get in touch with him." Unfortunately, the name of the ice cream shop didn't sound familiar to him. It didn't mean that he hadn't been there before, just that he was still spacey when it came to names and he couldn't pinpoint where it was in reference to the part of town they were currently in. "Do you know how to get home from here? Or are we completely lost? My name is Mag Mell, by the way... I'm a Knight of Cosmos. I haven't met many Guardian Cats before-- Actually, I don't think I've met any." That he could remember, if he had.

"My name is Sumi. Everyone seems to have not met many mauvians, it's sad." They were supposed to be helping. And they couldn't do that if none of them were around. "I might be able to get back home but ..." He honestly didnt know where he'd taken the wrong turn so he wasn't quite sure he could take it again to get back to Lucien's flat. "Do you know how to reach Corvus?"

"From my recent understanding, it's more unfortunate for Senshi that they haven't met many of your kind. We Knights have something called the Code to guide us, but the senshi rely on each other... And you." He glanced down to the petite feline for a moment as he turned to head back out of the alley. "I can get in touch with her civilian side a lot easier than I can reach her. My communication device will deliver notes to other knights, but I haven't figured out if it's possible to send messages to senshi with it yet. Would you like a ride in the meantime? I can pick you up, I just don't want to insult you by assuming that you'd rather be carried when your paws have already taken you this far tonight."

"Arsinoe says they haven't been relying on each other and that's part of the problem. Maybe they could learn something from the nights." Arsinoe tried to make them work together and sometimes he could but it was a long fight. He didn't understand really, had a feeling that wasn't right, and someone had to fix it. "You'd .. be okay with me knowing who you are?" The kitten tipped his head slightly as he looked up at Mag Mell. "I can sit on your shoulder. Then you don't have to worry about holding me. I'm small, I'll fit."

"There aren't many people out there right now that know who I am-- Which is probably for the best, all things considered, but if you live with Sailor Arsinoe and you know who Sailor Corvus is there's a chance you might have heard my name before anyways." While Mag Mell wasn't certain about Arsinoe, or where things stood with his civilian side, he trusted Corvus with his life. "If the two of them trust you then I would think that you're good enough at keeping secrets to let you in on mine too." He stooped down again after adjusting his cloak on his shoulder so that Sumi could hop up if he was ready for transportation.

"Arsinoe and Corvus are close so I see her a lot." He nodded. Maybe 'a lot' wasn't the right term but he saw Cordy enough that he was familiar with her and he knew how close the two senshi were even if they argued sometimes. It was always the good sort of arguing at least. Sumi hopped up onto the knights shoulder carefully and settled himself so he wouldn't be at risk of sliding off. "Are you the one Arsinoe said purified?"

He brought a hand up to steady the cat as he stood, making sure that Sumi was comfortable before he began to walk. If anything, the added fabric of his cloak provided a bit of cushion along with something to grab onto should Sumi need that. "They've known each other as long as they've been alive, with the exception of a few months between their birthdays. Arsinoe is older." A soft smirk touched his lips as he rounded the corner to step out of the alley. "... And I might be, depending on what kind of terrible things he's had to say about me." His voice remained lightly teasing even as he said that.

"Corvus must have told you a lot about them if you know that." He didn't think that was something the two would have shared with just anyone. He wasn't even sure anyone outside of their close friends would know they were related. He prodded a bit at one of the folds in Mag Mell's cloak before curling his tail around the knights neck absently. "He hasn't said anything bad. Sometimes I dont even think he knows he's talking about it but talking through things helps him think."
