The music festival is starting this week! Everyone who signed up, grab your stuff, and get to the bus! (Pearl's driving.)

Pearl sighed as she carried Steven's stuff to the bus. She really didn't want to go to this music festival. It sounded like it would be loud, annoying, and uncomfortable.
But Steven, seeing that Amethyst was going, really wanted to go. And then (because it seemed liked they had to go everywhere Steven went) Lapis and Peridot had also signed up to go. And Pearl did not trust any of the three to watch Steven for an entire week.
So Pearl had basically roped herself into going, seeing as Garnet didn't want to go. She was also annoyed that Hugo was forcing her to drive. How could she make sure Steven didn't get crushed by anyone if she was driving?

Foxy rose up slowly from behind Pearl, silent as a mouse.
"Ahoy, me lassie!" he cried. "Are yeh excited as I am about the festival? Don't it just shiver yer timbers? Yar?"

Pearl jumped up in surprise, hitting her head on the inside of the storage compartment. Groaning, she turned around to greet the robot fox.
"Foxy," she muttered, rubbing her head, "Please don't startle me like that."
She turned back to continue putting Steven's stuff in the bus.

Steven excitedly raced over to where Pearl and Foxy were talking.
"Wow!" he exclaimed. "Is that the bus we're using? It's so cool! I've never been on one of those fancy buses before! Or any bus for that matter."

Lapis followed quietly behind Steven.
Like Pearl, Lapis didn't particularly want to go to the festival. But any excuse to spend time with Steven was good enough for her.
She stared blankly at Pearl struggling to shove Steven's bags into the storage compartment.
"Do you need some help?" she asked.

"No, no!" Pearl replied, grunting as she pushed against Steven's overstuffed bag, "I've got it!"
She pushed with all her might, wondering what Steven could've possibly packed to blow up his bag so much. Eventually there was a weird pop sound, and the bag slid into the compartment, with Pearl falling to the ground. She immediately got up again.
"See?" she said proudly to Lapis, "I got it!"

Kaji followed Steven and Lapis, smiling up at the sun. It was a pleasant day for the beginning of the festival. He didn't know what this event was about, but he liked it anyways. And it was nice that he could get away from his duties as the Spirit of Fire for a while. And spend quality time with Mizu. The two of them hardly ever got to spend time with just the two of them. This would be close enough, he supposed.
Seeing how Kaji didn't need any luggage and therefore didn't bring anything, he just immediately stepped around Pearl and climbed onto the bus.

Charlie had been going to one of these festivals every year ever since he was a toddler. He knew his sister, Jade was going to be at this one, (because he had invited her.)
Because he had been to these sort of things before, he was well prepared. But that didn't make the luggage any less heavy. He knew a lot of the people going had never been to one of these festivals before, so he was considerate and brought at least two tents. Two very heavy tents. Two very large, heavy tents which he was now slowly dragging by his teeth and back towards the bus.
As soon as he reached the others, he let go of his luggage and flopped down, panting.
"Oh good," he said, looking at where Pearl had just shoved in Steven's luggage, "Someone to put this stuff on the bus for me." He looked up at Pearl with pleading eyes.

Mizu and Reeah approached the bus together, talking in low voices. As soon as they reached the others, Mizu climbed silently onto the bus while Reeah noticed Charlie and Pearl.
"Awesome," she said when she heard what Charlie said. "I don't have to drive or put my own luggage in the compartments!" She dropped her two suitcases in front of Pearl with a thud. "Thanks, hun," she said and climbing onto the bus before Pearl could reply.
"Hello, Kaji, how are you?" Mizu asked her friend, sitting down next to him.

Pearl's eye twitched, first in response to Charlie's huge burden, then to Reeah's remark. She felt like she would break.
"Oh sure!" she growled loudly, in an exhasperated voice, "Why don't I just put everyone's luggage in the bus!?" Her voice was much louder than it normally got, carrying across the yard.

Glitter was just on her way over, dragging her larger-than-her suitcase behind her. She lit up when she heard Pearl shout.
"You is!?" she asked, "That's a relief! I din' wanna do myself!"
She tossed her luggage at Pearl and flew onto the bus.

Lapis stared in surprise as people started depositing their luggage in front of Pearl. She looked over at the dumb-founded gem.
"Are you sure you don't want any help?" she asked, giving Steven's shoulder a gentle squeeze.

Harmony and Robin had also arrived in time to hear Pearl's shout.
"Are you sure?" Harmony asked. "I was going to offer to do it myself, but since you volunteered, that's very kind of you!" Then she and Robin set their stuff down and climbed onto the bus.

Folly, who had been lazily trotting behind Glitter, was going to scold her for throwing her stuff at Pearl, but gave up after opening her mouth and shrugged.
She trotted over, dropped her stuff on the ground, and followed Glitter and the others onto the bus.
