Hyeon sat there in front of his laptop staring at the blank page of the email before him. Each time he reached out to start typing something he would freeze and put his hands back down with a frown. He knew what he wanted to tell them, something that weighs on his mind and he wanted so badly to tell his heart brothers just what was new in his life but the words would not, could not, come to him. It wasn't that he didn't want to tell them because he clearly did, it was that it wasn't safe to tell them.

If he sent them an email about it then it could be read by someone else, intercepted by anyone, and who knows just who could be Negaverse. Not that he thought his friends were but that didn't mean others in the company weren't. If he tried to tell them over the phone it could be overheard, same as if he tried to tell them over Skype or Discord, or any other chat. Any way he looked at it there could been people that intercepted his message and used it against him and his family for the Negaverse directly or indirectly.

All that and it didn't even touch the fact that even if he told them, they would worry but they couldn't do anything about it. Minsoo and the others would then know about his secret and they could only worry about what trouble he could be getting into. What dangers were just in the city even without Hyeon going out of the way to find any. Even if so far he had been lucky enough to not run into any real trouble besides the odd youma, it would be more then enough to set off their worry for him.

He felt a smile tug at is lips as he thought of just what they would say to him if he did end out telling them. At the very least he could imagine Minmom's lecture in safety easily. The smile faded after a moment and with a sigh he closed the blank email, and got up to walk away from his desk to curb the temptation of opening a new email and spilling everything. It wouldn't help to tell them at this point and would in fact most likely hurt in some way if he did do it anyway.

With each step away form the computer he felt his heart sinking as the distance between himself an the other's became wider with the secret he carried. They couldn't know now, and might never find out, that he was a Knight, about the hidden war for control of the planet, how anyone could have ancestors from the stars, how reincarnation was real. He couldn't share any of it with them for fear of making them a target, for fear of putting a bulseye on his own back and those of the family he had in the States. At least no one was around to see the tears fall.
