Ever since meeting Naoya, Tybalt had spend the long breaks between certain classes out on the yard with the bakeneko, just trying out different tricks or stretches. Naoya was learning how to do traditional bakeneko dances from his cousin, which was pretty interesting. Tybalt considered dance as a potential future focus… but it wasn’t really enough. They wanted to do more than a few fancy moves, at least, it seemed like most of Naoya’s dancing was fairly in place with a few hip motions. Boooooring.

Over time, they began searching for more. Gymnastics routines weren’t the same as dancing, but they did have the level of physical activity that Tybalt seemed to crave. The downside to wanting to be so active was that it was hard to sit down and actually look for things. Of course, they could’ve reached out to their parents or siblings, but Tybalt was not exactly the sort to rely on others for anything if they didn’t have to. They were going to find the perfect fit for them all on their own.

Except, perhaps not. One day, Naoya mentioned having gone to see a circus. He’d gone on for practically the whole break about how amazing it had been and that the gymnasts were performing amazing feats he’d never seen before. This left Tybalt very, very curious. As soon as they got home that evening, they began searching. It only took two videos for them to fall in love with the performers. Oh, the things they were doing! Bouncing, dancing, flipping- it was amazing. They had to get into this. This absolutely had to be their calling in life! They just had to figure out where to start.
