Richard sat on a chair by one of the windows in his apartment, just looking out blankly at the world outside, not really seeing anything as he was lost in thought. The topic running around his head at the moment was the encounter he had with the chibi Senshi just the day before. On the one hand he had kept the energy he had gathered safe and had information on the tiny player in the war that will be helpful for other Officers, on the other hand he had pretty much made a fool out of himself while trying to scare off the young teen so she wouldn't take part in the war anymore.
This was the second time he couldn't bring himself to fight someone seriously, both of them being young teen girls. Though one of them was just in a sparing tournament, against a barely out of chibi stage corrupt and she was a teammate, he still hadn't been able to bring himself to do more then go through the motions of fighting with out any strength behind said movements. With the actual chibi he hadn't even tried to hit her in anyway but always aimed to the side, though thanks to her magic he would have missed even if he hadn't.
Did that make him a bad officer? To not be able to bring himself to harm children? He did know that there were those who would attack the chibi Senshi with little to no problems but he had never met them nor could he see himself acting in the same way. He shifted in his seat then frowned at the thought. No if couldn't make him a bad one since General Benitoite didn't fight them seriously judging from what he had heard here and there. Something about a trash can?
Either way if the General that Richard followed didn't fight them seriously then not fighting them seriously isn't the problem. Not fighting them how ever is. He barely noticed when Lexus climbed up his pant leg and cuddled in his lap as he pondered what he could do to solve his problem, just absentmindedly started to pet the ferret. "More training." He muttered to himself as he thought out loud. Maybe if he trained himself, or at least had someone help with his training, to make both lethal and non lethal moves then he wouldn't be as hesitant to fight them?
It was worth a shot anyway and so far the only feasible solution he had thought of in the past hour or so he had been dwelling on it. After all simply avoiding them clearly wasn't the answer seeing how you couldn't tell ages by energy signature as far as he was aware. And if you can't tell then any Senshi he felt could be a child and he wasn't going to avoid every Senshi, be they his choice to find them or vice versa, just to avoid fighting children. If he did that then he really would be an abysmal officer. Though when he ran into the girl the signature had felt a bit different from what he had felt before. Another something to look into maybe. Decision made he turned his head from the window to look down at the ferret in his lap. "Well Lexus, guess I need to find a teacher."
