It was gym class, Orion's favorite class by far. He looked forward to it each day, his energy pumping up as the hour came closer, and hurrying to the gymnasium when that bell rang to signal the next class. He was first to get there, change, and eagerly wait around for the lesson to begin.
Since it was far too cold and covered of snow outside for them to do outdoor activities, indoor conversions were made to what would normally occur outside. Once all the students piled in, and got Changed, the activity of the day was announced; golf.
Golf... Orion had heard about this game before but hadn't tried it yet, or fully understand it. But little clubs and golf balls were provided as well as little discs with holes in them to serve as the goal. Everyone was to pair up with another student to see who could make the most successful scores.... keeping the basic terms of the game excluded for the time being. Well... time to find a partner!

 Eun enjoyed gym class, he liked most of the classes that he had at the academy since has a hallowed from the forbidden forest he hadn't had chances like these till he came to Asphodel Gardens Academy. The things Eun was able to do and learn were amazing. Eun didn't like the snow, the snow was frozen water and water was not a kumiho thing, no matter what station of kumiho one might happen to be. Golf?? Eun cocked his eyebrow he wasn't sure if he was the golf sort, but he was going to give it a try anyway. Eun looked around for a partner he was still avoiding pureblooded kumiho since he didn't often get along with them and vice versa. He picked up his little club and ball and started looking for someone reasonable enough to play golf with.

He trotted around the room excitedly to try and pick up a partner, but almost everyone in class already had friends to pair up with. Darn... lips pursing, he looked around slowly to see if anyone else was milling about like him.
Aha! The hybrid perked up when he saw another lone student, who looked to be seeking as well. Strolling right on over to the unknown child, Orion gave his confident grin, and addressed them, "hey. You need a partner too?" He began, raising the club in gesture, "we could pair up if you want."
He noticed those cool eyes almost right away, making his own glow brighter and widen, "whoa..." he murmured in soft awe. How cool! His tendrils rippled a little with his excitement, grin spreading, "I'm Orion. What's your name?"

Eun looked the hybrid over they didn't look like a nasty rude sort, and certainly wasn't a pureblooded kumiho, so Eun nodded and said "Yes I need a partner, I'm Eun." He said introducing himself. Eun looked curiously at the hybrids bright glowing eyes, but didn't react too harshly since he knew how it felt to have someone point out how weird you were. Eun blinked twitching his ears hearing the soft sound that Orion had made. "Is everything alright??" Eun asked picking up the stuff they needed to practice playing golf. He wondered how hard it would be to get the ball into the little net cup thing.

Oh shoot, his staring was noticed. With a quick shake of his head, grin cheesing now, he tried to brush over his fascination , "oh yeah, I just noticed how cool your eyes were, that's all." There that was a smooth recovery. Right?
Luckily his little mishap didn't seem to get him into trouble. Sweet he got a partner! Doing a mini fist pump, cocky grin twitching, he gave a wave of his hand for the other kid to follow him to one of the stations where the false golf hole was. It was a plastic little disc thing that had a hole in it for you to aim at. How hard could it be? Swinging the plastic golf club in his possession around like a baseball bat, Orion turned to Eun, "Ever played this before?" It seemed kinda like basketball. He liked basketball. But any golf game he'd seen... it was all quiet and stuff.

Eun cocked his eyebrow "You think my eyes are cool?? Well, that's new." Eun chuckled. Most thought his eyes were weird least those from his village. Then again Parfait seemed to like him just the way he was. So it was possible that this freshling liked his eyes. This place was really great so many different kinds of freshlings rather than the uptight world he had grown up in. Eun shook his head at the question of if he had played this game before. "There really wasn't much done for Hallowed freshlings in my village." Eun said, "Might as well give it a try." Eun hit the ball watching it go past the little net cup.

Crooking a brow with surprise, Orion gave Eun a good once over, just noticing that he was also... one of those new species that had come to light. Kumiho, wasn't it? Cool! Just like Haseo. Or at least part of him. Those tails and ears were cool too!
His eyes did manage to pry away to wander to the other kids around them who were engaging in the sport, perking up a little when some of them scored. Looked so easy. He could do this. Ah but he watched carefully as Eun took his turn, leaning to watch the path the ball took. Village... hallowed... oh yeah stuff was probably super different there from how it was here. But his nose wrinkled up, freckles bunching in the motion.
"What do you mean for hallowed? Why can'tcha do what all the other kids are doin?" Taking his turn he placed one of the little balls down to aim for the goal. But.... his arms raised and he gave way too much force in punting it, sending the ball flying and bouncing rapidly away. What the??? Shoot... he frowned, not sure what had went wrong. He'd barely hit the thing!

Eun frowned and said "I'm a kumiho, but according to my village I'm a cursed monster, I heard some others say that the pc term was hallowed for mutants, mutant is rude." Eun said plainly, though the subject hurt him. He didn't like being treated badly or seeing others treated badly. "Well I can now, but back in my village it was different, mutants weren't treated well in my village especially if you were born with only one tail." Eun said trying to make it clear to Orion. Eun turned and waved his one tail about. Eun walked over to his ball to try again to get it into the net cup thing. "Don't feel bad I'm not doing any better." Eun chuckled. He attempted to get the ball in again, this time it at least touched the net cup but like Orion's rolled up and back down. Ok so to soft that time.

Orion's whole face contorted to something a mix of shock, disbelief, and anger all at once as poor little Eun explained his situation. Wait what? A monster?? This guy?? He looked Eun up and down some more, even circled around him as if he might be missing something. But as the hallow continued on the matter, Orion balled up his fists, gripping far too tight to his club. They were treated badly... just because they looked cool? His tendrils flared and his eyes flowed brighter, a hand reaching out to place onto Euns shoulder, "that's not ok! That's mean and nasty!" He practically growled, infuriated that this child was being treated illy. "Tell me who ever is mean to you, Eun. I'll beat them up for you!" He declared passionately, his Geist tendrils rippling madly with his heightened emotions. "You're awesome just as you are. They're a bunch of dummies!" The game of golf was forgotten about, now fully focused on righting this wrong.
But some of the other kids noticed Orion's display, and were now staring at him, even the instructor coming over to check on the two. Huffing softly, Orion tried to calm down, putting his arm around Euns shoulders in a semi hug, and protective gesture, "well... I'm glad you're able to do stuff here at least... you can do what ever you'd like here. You can always play with me, too."

Eun shook his head "The last freshling I caught mocking and being mean to a hallowed, I threatened to pound his face in. He was making fun of a hallowed girl for speaking to her pet rock." Eun growled "Telling her she didn't deserve to be at this school, some pure blooded kumiho are jerks." Eun said sharply. Eun smiled "Maybe we should start a club, protect the picked on Hallowed club, I was kinda like the president of that club back at my village, I took care of the other orphans in my village hut." Eun let Orion hug him, this geist seemed like a really good being. They seemed to get along really well and Orion was clearly kind to hallowed which was a great thing. "Thanks" He said softly. The class would be ending soon, it appeared neither Eun nor Orion would be golf masters this class but that was ok.
