It was difficult to describe what Wolfeite did as patrolling, because it was not like the things the others did. He did not care to protect anyone within the Negaverse, except, perhaps, Tourmaline and the others that he was working with. He did not observe, unless it was out of necessity. He dragged energy, he took starseeds, and he crushed those Order brats underfoot.
He was out now, but there was nothing to keep him out. It was making him restless; no Order members to fight, no civilians to energy drain. He wanted to do something, his hands almost shaking with the energy and adrenaline that was coursing through him, unable to find an outlet to expend it upon. Wolfeite thought of going to find Aue, but there was no telling where the damned senshi would be this time of night.
Instead, he kept going, prowling along the streets, dipping into alleyways with the mask pulled up over the lower half of his face, gold eyes narrowed in concentration.

Patrolling and energy collecting came easily to Vanadinite- it was something she could do in any nightclub any day of the week because those places were her second homes and drunk people were stupid. But beyond that? The Lieutenant was lost without orders. She needed structure and something to truly dedicate herself to and this... This wasn't quite what she had in mind when she had demanded that Ilmenite bring her into the Negaverse. Bored of the club she was in - it wasn't her crowd or the type of music she liked - and even more bored of the people inside of it, she pulled a starseed or two (or three, or four...) as she pushed her way through the sweaty crowd, and lastly put her hand through the bouncer's chest without any concern whatsoever. "Sorry sweetheart," she said blandly as she pulled her hand out with his starseed in tow and allowed his body to slump to the ground. She wasn't exactly the most gentle when it came to starseed collection. Rolling the starseeds between her fingers as she walked, she burst out of the back door of the club and into the dark of Destiny City late at night. She inhaled and took a breath, closing her eyes to really feel the cold winter air in her lungs. She didn't even notice the General at first, but she definitely felt him, a tingle in the nape of her neck and the tips of her fingers.

The pulsing beat of music was heavy in the air, even just standing outside on the street as Wolfeite passed the club. He debated going in; the glamour could be pulled over him within seconds, and then he could be the guise of Archer Wren once more in order to take what he wanted.
But he did not feel an inclination to do so. He went around the back of the club instead, searching out those who would be leaving, drunk and dizzy and disoriented, too wasted to realize that Wolfeite was there until it was too late. Easy targets, and the hunger was ingrained inside of him so deeply that it was hard to distinguish anything else inside of him anymore.
It was not, however, a civilian that came bursting through the back door. Wolfeite had expected drunken shamblings, and instead got a flare of a low level power signature, a young woman with vibrantly colored hair and an armful of something softly glowing clutched in her hands.
Wolfeite came a step closer, shadows curling at his feet, twisting up his legs.
"Going somewhere?"

Her ears rang as the music faded when the door slammed shut behind her. She stopped dead in her tracks when she realized that the General was right there and she immediately adjusted her stance- she went from relaxed and rather nonchalant to standing perfectly straight, her hands at her sides (with one fist closed around the starseeds she had pulled just moments before) and her chin tilted upwards just slightly. The smile slipped from her face. "No sir," she replied. As he took a step closer to her, Vanadinite realized that this was no ordinary General. Her gaze very briefly dipped to his tail, then up at his ears, before falling back to meet his gaze. The Lieutenant held her gloved right hand out to him, palm up, with the starseeds glimmering even in the dark of the alley. Her left arm bent behind her at the small of her back, and she bowed her head. "For you, General, if you'll have them," she had no one to report to directly anyway, so she may as well hand them off to him- at least then she'll have done her job. She remained standing in that manner with her eyes lowered until the General before her told her otherwise.

Her face was unfamiliar; Wolfeite let his dark gaze roam across her unfamiliar features, her uniform with its threads of pink, the way she instinctively and visibly shifted her body language to represent something else, something less lax and confident and more calm and restrained.
No, sir was still new, but Wolfeite liked it more than he cared to admit. As a Captain he'd been required to be subservient to the generals, and now - now it was different. Now he was the one who could be at the top, and it was an exhilarating, thrilling rush of adrenaline that seemed to pulse through his veins like the heady music in the air.
The starseeds glinted in front of him, her palm outstretched. Wolfeite's gold eyes flickered to them, his face unreadable in the shadows, beneath the mask that covered the lower half of his face, muffling his voice slightly.
The gesture was appreciated. Wolfeite held out a hand for the starseeds, ears upright, alert on the top of his head.
"Why are you giving me these?" he asked calmly, voice a low, rumbling growl. "What is your name?"

Her weight shifted slightly when she turned her hand to drop the starseeds into his, as if a heaviness had been lifted. Her other hand now joined her left behind her, her right hand clasping her left wrist. Her feet shifted and spread apart slightly as she stood tall once again. Her pink eyes met his golden ones, unwavering and unafraid. "I am Lieutenant Vanadinite, formerly under the charge of General Ilmenite. Unfortunately for me, he is no longer in active duty in the Negaverse." She paused, and smiled at the beast-like man in front of her. "You, however, are." Her eyes moved down to the starseeds that now resided in his hand. "If I have to turn them in to meet my quota," she looked back up at him. "They may as well go to a General who can reap the rewards of a Lieutenant doing their due diligence." She was just doing what she believed to be her job. "No other reason, General." Even if she did wonder to herself if he required starseeds for sustenance.

Her respectful posture and demure tone of voice seemed vaguely at odds with both the vivid color of her hair and the uniform - but at the same time, there was something to be said about a lieutenant who understood the time and place to be confident and careful. It pleased Wolfeite, the starseeds glinting brightly in his gloved palm, and it was taking a lot of self-control not to simply devour them all at once.
They could be of use, later. He could do something with them.
Wolfeite did not recognize the name of Ilmenite, but he committed both that and Vanadinite to memory, his dark gaze flicking over the young woman's face. It was hard to read the expression beyond the mask, but his eyes were curious, hooded and glowing.
"That's right," he said slowly. "I am."
One ear flicked, swiveling in the direction of some far off sound, then returned to its alert position like the other, Wolfeite considering Vanadinite. It was a good reason, but - he needed - wanted - more.
"Tell me, Lieutenant." Wolfeite's voice was a constant, low rasp, half a growl, something that had deepened and grown the more the youma inside of him took hold of him. "What does a Lieutenant do without the guidance of a General? You seem entirely capable. What do you spend your time doing?"

Years and years of strict dedicated to dance had prepared her for a life in the Negaverse. She knew very well about time and place, when to be confident and when to be obedient. Not for a single moment did her eyes waver from his dark gaze, her jaw clenched and lips pursed just slightly. As he spoke, she wanted to prod, to ask questions about the how and why behind the growl in his voice, the ears on his head... Whatever it was that lay under the mask that covered the lower half of his face. Instead, she inhaled. Steadied herself. Was he testing her? She had never failed a test of any kind in her entire life, and she had no intention of starting now. "I follow the orders of anyone ranked above me at the moment, Sir." She hadn't asked his name- she assumed if he wanted her to have it, he would offer it to her when he saw fit to do so. "I patrol the city to ensure the eradication of the White Moon as best as I can at my rank. I meet my energy quotas, collect starseeds. If calls come in on my communicator crystal I always answer them in haste." She did what she assumed any Lieutenant would do. "I do the best I can without direction," she added simply. "Whatever Metallia and my superiors require of me."

She hadn't backed away from him; she hadn't dropped her gaze or made herself into some simpering hopeful whose false niceties and saccharine sweet promises were nothing but pathetic in the eyes of someone who cared so little about them.
She had stood her ground, and it pleased him.
Wolfeite took a step towards her, eyes glinting in the moonlight
"How would you like to change that?" Wolfeite said, ears upright and alert, though his voice was low and level, a cajole almost but lacking in the unnecessary frivolity. "It just so happens I'm in the market for more recruits, and you, Vanadinite..."
He let his gaze sweep over her, then came back to rest on her face.
"You seem to be exactly what I need."

An eyebrow raised as the General took a step towards her, with an offer that she- quite frankly- would be stupid to refuse. There was something about this General, the way he held himself and never wavered. The power that he seemed to wield... Whether it was his rank or the animalistic part of him that was a youma, or a little bit of both, she wasn't sure. But there was something, and it felt like something she wanted. And if you wanted that kind of power, you needed to learn from someone who had it. If you wanted to be the best, you had to learn from the best. And if he saw potential in her... Well, that sounded pretty damn good to her. Pink lips twisted into the slightest of smiles as she watched his golden eyes sweep over her before they came back up to meet her pink ones. "And you, General, seem to be exactly what I need. It'd be my pleasure to serve under you." Her head dipped in a polite nod. As simply as her night began, it had ended in so much more. Her General had breathed new life and purpose into Vanadinite and thus in her career in the Negaverse. She would thrive under his charge, she was sure of it.
