It's really dark, was the first thought Henry had as he stood near the top of the stone stairs, looking down into the gloom that was the cove. Dark, a little cold, and very foreboding. Gale had brought him here, directed him to go down, to find his partner, and Henry would do it! it just....might take a few moments for the new recruit to gather his bearings and find his courage enough to take that next step down. Once he did that, the rest would be easy. He hoped.

|There's always light in the dark.|

Henry jumped, a hand shooting out to brace against the wall beside him as he whipped around to look behind him, then back down the stairs when he realized no one was there. "Hello?" It was tentative, and soft with the first stirrings of nerves.

|Hello.| There was a giggle, not masculine, not feminine, and...not coming from down in the cove, as far as Henry could tell.

In fact, it sounded like it was in his head, but that was crazy.

|No it's not. That's exactly what's going on.|

The already pale young man paled further, and even retreated a step back towards where he'd come from.

|Wait! Donnea leave! You have to come find me. I'm down here.|

He stopped retreating, but that was it. "I don't know who you are." Henry's voice pitched upward a bit. "Why do I want to find you?" This was weird, though things had been running on this theme since the moment he'd awakened from that...pod, thing. Henry frowned.

|Because you need me, that's why. I'll make you stronger.|

The voice was giggling, which had Henry questioning the validity of that claim, but he found himself moving down the stairs anyways. Still afraid, but curiosity was beginning to rise above that.

As he reached the bottom of the stairs the voice giggled again, eager, though Henry still couldn't have placed it. It still sounded like it was coming from inside his own head.

|Because I am, silly. Now come find me.|

"How am I supposed to do that?" All he saw around him were a bunch of stone tablets with various glowing images on them. Weapons, he thought, though there was some that didn't exactly look like they'd be the easiest to handle, or the most useful.

|Canna you feel it? There was the smallest hint of impatience now.

"No, I mean..." There had to be a better means of communicating. If the voice was in his head, than no one else could hear it. All they'd hear would be Henry's side of the conversation, and he was going to come off sounding like a crazy person.

|You can talk to me in your head, you know. Think it, and I'll hear it.

Well that made perfect sense.

And when he stopped to think about it, he could feel it. It was subtle, but there was a compulsion. Something pulling at him towards the back of the cavern. Henry allowed himself to be lead, pale eyes flicking from one tablet and to the next as he passed him ,until finally they seemed to linger on one that was glowing blue. There was a star on it, or something that looked vaguely star-shaped, and when the teen touched it, the stone disappeared. In his hand, a multi-bladed weapon. Heavy, foreign, but somehow right.

I don't even know wjat you are.

|You'll learn, boil.|
