Now that Aquila had gotten some sort of actual fighting lesson and helped beat up a monster, she was kind of in the mood to hunt down another one. She was sure she could take it on by herself now, and was eager to prove herself right. So one afternoon she powered up and headed out to go youma hunting. Problem is...she didn't know where she could find one. As far as she'd heard, they could be just about anywhere. She she was reduced to wandering around the city, trying to keep an eye out - er, sense out? However this recognizing power signatures thing worked - for any nearby youma. And hoping she didn't run into a Negaverse person first, because she wasn't quite sure what she wanted to do about them yet. Eventually she felt some kind of Chaos aura not too far away, so she jumped onto a low building to try and pinpoint it. After looking around a bit, it seemed to be coming from a construction site a couple of blocks away. Wanting to make sure it was a youma and not something else, she hopped a couple buildings closer, scanning the half-built building as she went. ...There! Something that looked like a giant bug had just skittered behind a pile of bricks. Satisfied, Aquila jumped down to the street and headed into the construction site, crossing over the fence in one satisfyingly easy jump.

Caliban had gotten off of work early today. Or at least earlier than usual. He had been scheduled for an earlier shift which let him out earlier. And with all of that extra time in the day now and with it being so nice out, why not go out and practice a bit being powered up? And so that's what he did, however, as soon as he was done, he sensed another senshi in the area, though the aura wasn't that strong. It was probably a senshi like him. However, as he got closer to the aura, he also sensed another one. This time it seemed different... a youma perhaps? Perhaps this senshi was going after it? Well, he could try helping at least. He was now at the construction site, looking at the building in front of him before hoping over the fence. He looked around, trying to spot either of them, and spotted the senshi first. He hoped that he wouldn't scare her by talking to her suddenly. "Hey, you going after a youma or something?" Hopefully he wouldn't be taken as rude.

Aquila had just started to circle around the building, trying to spot the youma again, when she heard a voice speak up behind her. Startled, she whirled around...to find another senshi standing in the yard. And now that she knew he was there, she realized she could feel his energy signature, too. She frowned, annoyed at herself for not paying attention and letting him get close without her noticing. She would have to work on that. She crossed her arms and replied curtly, "I got it covered." The idea that he was trying to butt in on her fight was almost as irritating as being snuck up on. She'd found this thing on her own and she could damn well beat it up on her own. How hard could squashing a bug monster be, anyway? SSBrosB Don't take it personally Caliban, she thinks she can handle anything on her own. (She probably can't.)

Caliban raised an eyebrow. Well, it seemed that she wanted to do it herself. It was fine with him. He still wasn't used to the idea of killing things yet, even if they were vicious and murderous. Maybe if one attacked him like when he had been awakened he would be okay under the guise of self-defense at least. "Well all right. I'll just be here as backup then, okay?" If she could fight it on her own okay, but he would feel guilty if he just up and left her and then heard back one day that she hadn't made it, especially if he could do something to prevent it. He walked a bit closer to her, but kept a distance just in case. "And four eyes are better than two right? I can help you look for it."mewrose Lol he didn't XD I don't think he quite gets the killing enthusiasm though XP, he needs to go up against more youma.

Aquila rolled her eyes at his offer of backup and opened her mouth to tell him to stay out of her way. However, she ended up closing it without saying anything. She could handle this on her own, she was sure of it...but having someone nearby just in case was a better idea than she wanted to admit. She hadn't done this before, after all. So rather than telling him to leave, or giving him explicit permission to stay, she instead just said, "I know where it is." And she did, more or less. She knew where she last saw it anyway, and decided she'd better go after it before it got away. She turned her back on the other senshi to jog over to the pile of bricks where she'd last seen the youma. Figuring a higher vantage point would be good, she jumped up on top of the pile. It turned out not to be a very steady perch, since the loose bricks slid under her feet, and she had to windmill her arms around to keep her balance. Thankfully, she managed to keep from falling over (that would have been too embarrassing with that guy watching), and pretended nothing had happened as she looked around. There were a lot of shadows under the half-built building, so she didn't see anything at first. She was eager to more, just to show the other senshi she knew what she was doing. So as soon as she spotted movement under the building, she jumped down from her pile and ran for it. She thought the movement was in the same area that her sense of the youma's energy was pointing, so she was going in the right direction. Even if she didn't quite know exactly where it was, she was getting there!

Caliban nodded silently to her and followed. Sure, he would have appreciated it if the senshi was a little more willing to let him help, but he figured that there were all types of senshi out there and they also all had their own personalities, so he couldn't complain if one of them was a bit more stubborn, but at least she didn't tell him to go away. And so he followed her, making sure he wasn't getting in her way, but still close enough in case he needed to help quickly. He was a bit surprised at her almost toppling over when she almost fell off the pile of bricks and was ready to go and catch her, however she regained her balanced. He smiled, laughing a bit in his head. At least she had managed to recover though. He kept tracking her, and when she started speeding up, he kept up with her, also sensing the youma and feeling that they were on the right track.
