Hey, I know this is kinda out there, but I was thinking we could have the story start as them being in the middle of an active war, that way we could be doing something to achieve a goal in our roleplays instead of just chilling around the kingdom chillaxing. I kinda feel like that was the problem with the last one, because there were so many kingdoms, and yet none of them had any conflicts at all which makes no sense since so many kingdoms around each other are bound to have some kind of conflict at some point in time. Also, whenever there was any conflict, it was normally "non-canon" or, if they did try to make it canon, it utterly failed because they failed to get the guild to collaborate and coordinate. While I'm not necessarily saying that we need to do nothing but fight each other, I do believe it would do well to sculpt better roleplaying material. I hope you consider this.

Thank you,
Vipah

I see where you're getting at, but this is more of a tension leading up to a war kind of roleplay. I feel that if there was to be a war, we'd have to be a rather large guild with about oh, I dunno... 100 or so active people? Otherwise it just feels empty and not very interesting. Maybe if we do manage to get that many people actively involved in the story, we'll do something like that. But right now, I really only see the characters going through their individual stories.
Not to mention, there should be some kind of build up before we start the war.

In the future, I may make an event that kicks off the start of a war, but as I said: Only when we get enough people involved.

Well with a guild as small as this, we could still be able to manage such a war if we had enough royal members in the different kingdoms, as they could roleplay different skirmishes with a group of NPCs. The only thing about it is that they'd have to deal with stats and numbers and dice rolls, but it wouldn't be too difficult if they were actually wanting to do such a thing. They could even theoretically have roleplayers take part in such battles.

As far as the tension building up, you could either have just 2 kingdoms fighting among each other and the other kingdoms get sucked in, or the same situation could happen except they are not at war, only having heavy tensions. In order for a guild like this to be truly successful, we'd have to have players that would not only be interested in having their own individual adventures, but a few players that would be willing to play politics. I do agree that it would work best with a large group, but it could actually work with such a small guild.

Not only could it work, but I feel like having some players starting the guild on the political level, as well as including NPCs, could give the guild a structural basis so that when players are doing individual adventures it would not only give them environmental events to play off of (just like the concept of the weather), but also would make it not seem like we are the only ones who exist in the world.

But of course, these are purely suggestive and if you want to use these or even use an idea based off of these, I'll be happy to let you do so.

If i may interfere. Some kingdoms have already gone to war. It is in the stuff for your character. A tension build up to a war would be amazing but most kingdoms have treaties as for an example the murky water war. This war was fought between the dark and water kingdoms. They have a treaty that is about to end. It also depends on what everybody wants to vote for. Its a three way road to a hard reset, soft reset or continuing and leaving the new comer's behind not knowing what is going on.

If it's any consolation to Vipah who suggested a political level, since my character is the queen of a fairly neutral kingdom I wouldn't mind playing a part of the political side. While I'm not as knowledgeable as most when it comes to politics I do have a decent grasp on it. I also like to play the good cop-sometimes-bad cop thing.

As well for the more members playing more royals and creating NPC's, I'm up for that as well. Before since there weren't many members/characters going around the psychic kingdom at the time, I had to improvise and place a few guards here and there to keep things going along. So I don't think that part would be a problem.

As for the part about the tension leading up to a war, I'm intrigued to the idea. In the beginning when Cole had made a mess in the poison kingdom, I was thinking about the idea of those two kingdoms starting some tension leading into a civil war. (Psychic kingdom Queen doing everything she can to keep her son safe, that sorta thing.) So if you'd like any help with putting that stuff through I'd be happy to lend a hand.

lol this made me laugh. No worries. I thought it be extremely interesting to see these two women dish it out somehow. Ya know the whole fighting a war with just some words and a smile thing. Ahh what a hilariously scary scene that would be XD

X3 I wouldn't want to mess with the psychics that still have to pay for what their son did. Or should I say is going to get into very soon.

"Clever serpent are we now? As I see, my husband has cleared this misunderstanding. I agree my son must pay for his recklessness, however, I must say my punishments can equal, perhaps even surpass your expectations."

lol this made me laugh. No worries. I thought it be extremely interesting to see these two women dish it out somehow. Ya know the whole fighting a war with just some words and a smile thing. Ahh what a hilariously scary scene that would be XD
"I would hope a mother's punishment would be much harsher then my own. You do know he ripped up not only my study but a guest bed room as well? I'm surprised he hasn't learned any manners growing up."
I want to continue this now! ^.^ I'm getting into character and I shouldn't be. and yay! the BBcodes are fixed!

"My oh my, Mommy's come to play has she? Well if it wasn't for your Son crashing into my docks he wouldn't be in the mess he's in now. But, I would be risking a lot putting your son's life in danger in my arena. Besides I know fully well that psychic is stronger then poison." Sorry sorry I couldn't resist. X3 I wouldn't want to mess with the psychics that still have to pay for what their son did. Or should I say is going to get into very soon.

"Regrettable I'm sure. Unfortunately Cole inherited my hidden less than forgiving nature. Manners can not be reciprocated when one's host is lacking mannerisms themselves. Am I wrong?"

Hahah I'm getting into this and its very fun. This is kinda like the verbal war I was talking about earlier :3

"Ah so you've come to join us dear. I must say I am very displeased with the treatment you showed your father. And then I come to hear of your misbehavior in another royal's presence. Must I bring the felines to soften your heart?"

Hahahah I cant stop this is too fun.
