<--Colorado Dustbowl
California Tidelands-->
Past the Colorado Dustbowl, it only gets hotter and more barren. When traveled through, the landscape becomes much more of a desert than anything. These deserts are coated in dry, cracked, dirt, not dunes of sand, and there are pillars of corroded rock that litter the landscape like fingers rising from the ground. However, something far stranger lies deeper within these pillar-littered landscapes. Within the outcroppings of stone, there is an old, derelict ship, suspended high above the ground level, its fore and aft both stuck deep within the rocks that raise it. The ship can be heard miles away--though most think that the creaking is just the wind. Its gentle shifts and sways create an eerie score, playing over the winds of the deserted land.
The closer one moves to the ship, the louder these creaks and squeals become, and the more sure that there is something more insidious going on inside of that husk of a vessel. U.S.S Hazel can be seen, warn out along the back and side of the ship, and within it, one will find everything you may not expect to see in such a place. Labs, full of samples and equipment from ages ago--prison wards, and torture chambers--the thing, from the inside of it, looked like it was some sort of old mental asylum...floating on the ocean. The creaks and squeals will turn, slowly, into moans and screams, the longer one stays in this place. It is said that many have been driven mad by the noises--some choosing to leap from the railings of the ship, falling to their deaths to escape the madness within.
